From Me, To You

Have you ever sat down to create something, finished it, and then said, "That was too easy. What did I do wrong?" Yeah. That is pretty much how this particular project went. BUT, the truth of the matter, is, the tools MAKE it easy and I LOVE the results so much! CUTENESS! For reals, though.

To You From Me Tag Trio by Jennifer Ingle #spellbinders #tags #diy

Three gift tags. Bright, happy colors. Happy playful shapes. Yes. All of those things. But, seriously, you guys... SO EASY! You guys, all I had to do was combine the new Spellbinders® Tag Trio with the Build a Tag 2 set and stamp a couple of sentiments. Oh...and tie some ribbon onto them with some adorable twine. But, for reals, that's it. That is the sum total of the steps for this project. And CUTENESS!

Tag Trio

I used May Arts ribbon and twine from The Twinery. The stamp set is, well, okay, after searching the internet for a bit I am just coming to grips with the fact that I have no clue what stamp set I used. But to and from stamps are pretty common. You can find some. I believe in you.

Go make some tags, you guys!

Have a Happy!

Jingle Tags!

I am up over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today with these fun Tags! I used the new Sleigh Bells Stamp set along with the coordinating Bell Tag Fri-Dies. I love how easy it is to cut, stamp, and emboss these tags to create perfect gift additions for the holidays. I left some room on each design to put the name of the gift recipient, as well.

I sort of love them! Seriously, you guys, this stamp set and die set are so perfect for holiday tag making! I am going to be making a BUNCH of these! LOVE them! You could even write the name where I stamped 'Jingle All The Way' instead of adding a sentiment there if you prefer.

Jingle All the Way Tags

A bit of May Arts sheer ribbon with a lovely gold edge and some gold and natural twine make a pretty topper for each tag and a few Queen and Company bubbles and gem stones add some sparkle without making them crazy. GO! Make some!!!!

2 Cards, Similar Products, Similar Design

Sometimes I like to get a couple of cute cards made without spending a super ton of time on them. Other times, I HAVE to get a couple of cute cards made without spending a super ton of time on them. HA! That being the case, I have found a few tricks along the way to allow me to achieve that goal. Using similar products and a similar, basic design can help you to create unique cards that stand alone beautifully, but come together rather quickly.

Hello Flower

When I first saw these amazing Triplits dies designed by Stephanie Barnard for Sizzix, I knew I HAD to have them! They offer SO many possibilities. You can cut the pieces you need and layer them as you wish, offering endless variety and flexibility! LOVE THAT! For this card I paired the Triplits Flower die set with an awesome new embossing folder from The Stamps of life. I kept the design simple, added a bit of twine, and layered colors and a bit of wood for texture and interest. I love this card. It is happy making.

Leafy Miss You

And then I made THIS card! Because I used the same type of supplies, along with a similar layout, this one came together SUPER fast! For this one, I used the Triplits Leaf die set and another awesome embossing folder from The Stamps of Life. Instead of twine, I went for a burlap string for a more natural look.

So, there you have it! Two cards, similar products, similar design all coming together to make fast and easy work while also still being WAY fun! Please find my complete supply list below.

Stamps: formalwords2stamp by The Stamps of Life
Embossing Folders: Elegant and Regal Embossing Folders, and Royal and Flower Burst Embossing Folders from The Stamps of Life
Dies: Triplits Flower Dies, Triplits Leaf Dies from Sizzix
Twine: The Twinery
Burlap String: May Arts
Ink: My Favorite Things

Cheers!

So, here's the deal. I don't know if I shared here that I signed up for an adult Jazz/Tap class. Mind you, I have never taken a dance class in my life, so this was kind of crazy, but something I've wanted to do for a really long time, so I just DID IT! Wellllllll.... last night was my first class. I'm terrible. HA! BUT, alas, it was WAY fun and it's something new AND I'm totally hoping I get better because, well, I'm not sure I can get much worse. The shoes, however, those totally ROCK!!!! For REALS! Just sayin'.

Today I have another fun New Year's card to share with you using some super fun brads from Eyelet Outlet and another great SRM Sticker sentiment! Love those things!

Cheers to a New Year!

This one is kind of fun! I started out with a black card base and rounded the corners. I then added the Martha Stewart decorative tapes, these are thicker than washi tape, but I still love them lots and lots. I cut a tag, rounded a corner, and stamped the 'rays', adhered the brads, and affixed the sticker. I actually used a silver Sharpie to create that cool silver border around the tag to match the border already on the sticker. I LOVE how that part turned out!

Cheers to a New Year (detail)

I added both the Gold Shimmer and Platinum Shimmer twines from The Twinery and then tied the little bunch with some awesome silver string from May Arts! Silver and gold can be really fun colors to play with!

I am also linking this card up to the fabulous CASology 'New' Challenge! New dance class, new year, new fun products.... there's lots of new going on, isn't there?! Well, now that's just FUN!

Oh...and don't forget to check out the Eyelet Outlet blog today for some more fun New Year card ideas!

I hope you have a super stupendous Friday, folks!

Isn't that just gorgeous? Totally makes me want to head to the beach! I love the beach no matter what the weather! I guess that comes from being a New England girl! I did decide to create a holiday card using these beautiful tones...

From our Home to Yours

I used the beautiful shell and starfish from the Pack Your Bags set and pulled the sentiment from the Holiday Lane set. I love the beachy feel to this one!

From Our Home to Yours (detail)

Tag! You're it!

Well, the great Bossy Joscie is sponsoring CAS-ual Fridays this week, so you KNOW I wasn't going to miss out on that one!  I love creating gift tags, but I often forget about them until the last minute around Christmas time.  I've been doing a few this year and I am loving it!  They are so much fun!

Winter Wishes Tag

I used Tami Mayberry's Simple Snowflakes clear set for this tag.  I love that fabulous snowflake sentiment stamp!  YAY!  I then added a simple, die cut accent from a Studio Calico kit and, of course, the Fancy Star Flair from Bossy Joscie!  I finished off the tag with some super fabulous chevron ribbon from May Arts and a bit of twine from The Twinery!  Here's my confession...I just recently discovered this way of adding the ribbon to a tag and I LOVE IT!  So cute!

Winter Wishes tag (detail)

Now I just need to decide who's gift gets this fun tag!  YAY!  I hope you have  super fabulous day!  The Hubbums and I will actually be in court this morning to hopefully resolve the Road Rage Incident that happened just after we moved.  Praying for the right outcome, that's for sure!  See you all tomorrow!!!!

Pointing the Way to Thanks

Have you seen Kelly Purkey's new line of stamps?  'Umm....'cause I'm in love.  Just sayin'.  For reallies, though.  They are AWESOME!!!!  I created this card using the super fabulous Rad set.  The clear sets are exclusively available via Simon Says Stamp, so check them out!

Thanks so Much

I stamped the arrows in two colors, masking off the area I planned for the sentiment.  I then added the sentiment in black so it would stand out nicely.  A bit of twine from The Twinery finished it off wonderfully!

Thanks So Much (detail)

I like the colors on this one.  They are happy colors!  Also.... over on the May Arts blog today I have a pretty card going up!  You will want to check that out because not only is there lots of inspiration for our May Arts/ Little Yellow Bicycle week, but prizes, too!  YAY!

Flower detail

I hope you have a super wonderful Friday!  I had a tooth pulled last night.  It's the first time I've ever done that, so I was scared.  It was all good.  Actually...kind of a neat experience, overall.... I'm weird like that.  HAHAHAHAHA!  I am planning on remaining good friends with my bottle of ibuprofen today, however.  LOL!  This means I get to have ice cream for lunch, though, right?  Right.  kthankbye.

The Sweetest of Wishes

I am excited to be pulling out my Fresh Squeezed Stamps again today! For this fun Christmas card I used the Christmas Treats set! I die cut the squares with Spellbinders Nestabilities, making the construction of this card nice and easy!

Sweetest Wishes

A bit of twine from The Twinery peeks out from behind the panel offering that extra pop of green! I don't often work in the red and green color scheme for Christmas, but I kind of loved it for this card! Classic and fun! I added just a bit of Glossy Accents over the center candy with some glitter to make it sparkle!

Sweetest Wishes (detail)
