A Card and an Introduction

I have some exciting news to share! LOOK!



This is Morgan! She is the newest member of our family. She is ten weeks old and a bundle of sheer puppy joy! And exhaustion. Joy and exhaustion. LOL! So far she loves boxes, her stuffie, and is absolutely fascinated by the world around her. It is a lot of fun to watch her discover and learn.

I also wanted to share another super fun card I created with the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. I love this one. It's a bit of a more rustic style than I normally do, but I just love the elements and how they came together!



I did cheat just a bit and used another Simon Says Stamp die with my kit contents, but shhh! Don't tell. *wink*



I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend if you are here in the United States, and a wonderful non-holiday weekend if you are somewhere where there wasn't a holiday. HA!

Happy Thanksgiving, folks!  I am sorry, as today is a scheduled (not by me) post and I wasn't closely paying attention to the dates when I created my assignments, so, alas, I have a Christmas card to share on Thanksgiving day!  Oooopsies!  LOL!  BUT...it is a REALLY pretty one, so hopefully that will make up for my indiscretion!  HA!

The Artist In Residence Theme for Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko this month was to work with the Glistening Line from Authentique.  I LOVE this line and have had SO much fun creating with it!  I combined it with some great stamps from Technique Tuesday (designed by Teri Anderson) and I just love how this turned out!

Sparkling!

Hello!  Welcome to Wednesday, folks!  This week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is a SKETCH challenge!  Yup... we give you the layout, and you make magic happen with it!  The design team is using Jane's Doodles and/or Authentique products this week, so if you have those, we'd love to see them, but you don't have to use them if you don't.  Use what you've got, folks!

I used the Authentique Glistening Collection and I LOVE IT!!!!  The colors are so pretty in this collection and the journaling card combined with the great patterns made it SO easy to come up with a fun card design!  I added a bit of sparkle on the journaling card by tracing over some parts with the Wink of Stella glitter brush.  I do so love that thing.  I really do.

Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to check out the awesome inspiration for today!  I think you will enjoy seeing the various ways the team used the sketch!  It is so fun to see just how DIFFERENT the designs can turn out using the same basic template!  YAY!

A THRILLING Halloween Card!

Hiya, folks!  I am so excited to be playing with some awesome goodies from IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® and the brand new Thrilling line from Authentique today!  I LOVE these papers!!!  I created a super fun card to share with you today!



Here are the goodies I used for this fun card:
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaMark™ Watermark Ink
IMAGINE Crafts® Embossing Powder™
Authentique Thrilling Paper Collection
Lawn Fawn Heebie Jeebies stamp set
Cardstock - black

To begin, I cut out one of the journaling cards from the paper collection, stamped the image in VersaMark™ onto the card and embossed it with IMAGINE Crafts® Embossing Powder™ in black.  I love how well that image fit on that journaling card!  It's always a happy thing when that happens!



Next, I simply created a card base from cardstock and then trimmed the text patterned paper and adhered that to the card base.  I trimmed the hexagon pattern from patterned paper, trimming a few extras to adhere with foam tape, and added that as an accent strip.  I tucked the journaling card under the hexagon border and adhered that, as well.



And there you have it!  A fun, not-so-spooky, yet very festive Halloween card!  I LOVE these papers so much!

Hiya by the Sea!

I love summer.  I really and truly LOVE summer.  I love the hot weather, I love the beach, I love the long days... I just LOVE SUMMER!  I have been particularly enjoying THIS summer.  The Hubbums and I have spent some extra time together, we've been doing some super fun things together, and pretty much that just makes me a happy girl!  YAY!  I recently made this card for a Paper Crafts call, and while it didn't get in, I still kinda love it.  It's outside my usual style, but I just let the inspiration carry me and this is where it landed!  Love it when that happens!



I carved a wine cork to create the star that I used to stamp the background and I used Momento Luxe inks for that to get a really nice, creamy impression.  I love that ink!  I added some fun embellishments and a cutout from Authentique's Fresh collection.  It's so whimsical and fun!  I just love it!  I also added a touch of Bossy Joscie map flair.  YAY!



This was a super fun card to make and it reminds me of just how wonderful summer by the sea can be!  I love it!  I hope you have a spectacular start to your week!
