Bonjour! - Runway Inspired

Hello, friends!  Wow!  I am a sleepy girl!  The Hubbums and I had a super fun long weekend/mini vacation and it rocked!  It has, however, left me quite exhausted!  Isn't that always the way?  I do have a card to share with you today, however!  I decided to play along with the Runway Inspired challenge this week!  Here is the inspiration photo that was provided from the Reem Acra Fall 2013 collection.

Oh, so pretty!  I am a big fan of black and white, and I was also quite drawn to the simplicity of this photo.  Light and dark.  I love it!  I pulled out some of my Gourmet Rubber Stamps to create the card below.


Rather than straight florals, I chose some text and butterflies. I like that it still has a garden-type feel without being too literal. The text stamp comes from the Sealed With a Kiss set, the butterflies are from the Butterfly Trio set (and if you look closely you see a hint of the music butterfly hiding beneath the popped up butterfly), and the sentiment is from the Say it Big set, I simply masked the stamp to only use the one word. It is all stamped in Tsukineko Momento Tuxedo Black ink.


I just love a great butterfly stamp. I really do. *sigh*

Bonjour! New Stamps from Gourmet Rubber Stamps!

Feels good, doesn't it? Sometimes we just need those little reminders to JUST BREATHE! My card for today is exactly that! I used the new sketch that we have for you over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps for this one. It's a seriously fabulous sketch! You should totally check it out!


I used the Tree Pose stamp on chalkboard paper to create the chalkboard technique for this one with just a touch of color. I really wanted that particular sentiment, so I hand wrote it. It's not perfect, but it is pretty good, so it makes me happy. LOL! A couple of Kelly Purkey sequins made a great subtle accent on the side.

How About A Dash of Gourmet Color?

I think that sounds like a perfectly lovely way to begin a week, so let's go for it!  We have a brand new color challenge for you over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps and it is a pretty one!

Right? Right. Very pretty! I pulled out my Truffles Thinking of You set with this super pretty bunch of flowers for my card.


I used a subtle pattern paper with black and white for the grey tone instead of a solid grey. I like how it reads as a grey due to the small pattern.

Hello, friends! It's FRIDAY! YAY!!! I am just super ridiculously excited that I can sleep in tomorrow. For reals. This whole time change thing is KILLING ME, dudes! Bubbling Sentimental Bees and the like...

Yup.  It's one of THOSE title days.  HA!  Gourmet Rubber Stamps has two gorgeous new Appetizer sets releasing TODAY!!!  YAY!  I have a couple of cards using the new cuteness to share with you.  Let's start with some Bubble Sentiments, shall we?  I think we shall, indeed!

For my card, I decided to go classic Valentine.  I chose a red cardstock base and then mounted a dry embossed panel in the same tone onto that.  I die cut the wreaths and adhered those, stamped the heart from Gourmet Rubber Stamps in white on pink cardstock, trimmed, and adhered that with foam tape.  I then stamped and embossed the sentiment (Technique Tuesday) in white on a vellum strip, trimmed a banner, and adhere it to my card.  I used Zip Dry, which I'm telling you in preparation for that question being asked.  LOL!  I love how it is just a good, 'ol fashioned Valentine kind of card!  YAY!

Happy Birthday! I'm Impressed!

I have a fun birthday card to share with you today using some super fun stamps from Paper Smooches and more mustache and glasses brads from Eyelet Outlet. Umm..I DID mention that it's an obsession, didn't I? I think I did. 'Cause, dude, it totally IS! They are WAY too much fun. Just sayin'.


Tee-hee!!!! Seriously, though... how could I resist that one? Yup. I know. I totally couldn't! YAY!


I added a bit of color to the image with Spectrum Noir markers and used super cute paper from Pebbles! LOVE!

Follow Your Heart

Warning: I am writing this post on my iPad and I have never done that before so things could get a little crazy all up in here, but, alas, I must, as my computer is kinda giving me fits and I kinda wanna punch it in the face. Kinda. For reals. Just sayin'.

Today is sketch challenge day over on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps blog and this is a seriously great sketch, you guys!  For reals.

Love this sketch, dudes!  I had an urge to play with some fun patterned paper, so I pulled out the Ready Set Go 6x6 pad from Amy Tangerine.  I am totally loving these adorable houses!  Yay!  I combined that with the Compass Truffles set from Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I heat embossed the image and the sentiment to make them stand out on the patterned and dark backgrounds.

I added a few enamel dots and some fabulous Bossy Joscie flair to finish off the card. This was a super fun one to create! I hope you like it! Be sure to visit the rest of the Designers blogs to see what they have done with the sketch and then create something of your own!

There Was a Game On Yesterday

I didn't watch it. We don't even have cable (Netflix and Hulu only kind of family), so if we had wanted to watch it we would have had to go out to do so, but we didn't want to watch it. LOL! SO... we stayed in. It was quite lovely! I will likely look up some of the commercials, I know I want to see the Iron Man trailer that was shown for SURE! I'm also pretty sure there was a good Star Trek trailer, so I'll have to check that out, too. It's not that I hate football, I don't... it's just that if the Patriots aren't playing, I'm really not interested. LOL! And The Hubbums really doesn't much care for football, so if they play, we go out and watch it... if they don't, we stay home and enjoy a quiet Sunday afternoon, and that is exactly what we did yesterday.


My Dad, on the other hand LOVES football! I'm pretty sure he would like this card. I love this football stamp from the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Truffles line! It's got a bit of vintage without going overboard! LOVE THAT!  And.. just for fun, I'm linking this up to the challenge over at Inspired By!


What did YOU do yesterday? Watch the game? Pretend to watch the game and actually paper craft the whole time? Not even pretend and just make stuff like I did?! LOL! Whatever you chose to do, I hope it was fabulous!!!

The Colors of Love

Hello, friends! We have a lovely new color challenge for you today over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps! It's really quite pretty!

Don't those soft colors just make it feel a little bit like Spring? *sigh* We are looking at another single digit day here in Mass, so I like the idea of thinking about Spring! LOL!

I was inspired by these colors, as well as the Make A Card With A Window Challenge in the Moxie Fab World for my card today.


I used the gorgeous Sealed With A Kiss stamp set along with some really pretty soft inks from the VersaMagic line by Tsukineko. I love these gorgeous tones!


The window is popped up and goes through to have a peek at what's inside the card!


The inside holds a larger heart along with another beautiful sentiment.

Making some Noise with Some Rustic Floral

Sometimes these titles really don't make any sense at all!  HA!  But, alas, they DO because they all talk about my post in some way.  I promise.  I wouldn't make this stuff up, folks.  HAHAHA!  Today, I'm excited to share two brand new Appetizer sets from Gourmet Rubber Stamps!!!  Yay!

The first is called Rustic Floral and it is just gorgeous!  I love the distressed nature of these stamps!  I chose to emboss the flower image with white embossing powder on a kraft background and I just love the look!

It's Time for a Gourmet Sketch!

Yup!  We have a brand new sketch challenge for you over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps today!  This is a fun one because you can really do any direction you want with it!  I love those type of sketches... ones that really just get you started and let you take it ANYWHERE!  YAY!

I decided to flip the sketch on it's side for my card today and I played with some SUPER fun colors! It was fun. Just sayin'.


The Happy Birthday Truffles set is featured on my card (it's brand new and SUPER CUTENESS!) along with some fun May Arts ribbon and fabulous My Mind's Eye enamel dots! Love those things!


The image itself is stamped in Momento ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I'm still working on my coloring, but I had fun playing with pinks for this one!

TRUFFLES ARE HERE!!!!
Well, I don't know about you, but I'M certainly excited about this! Yes, the brand new Truffles from Gourmet Rubber Stamps are officially available! What, pray tell are Truffles, you ask? And I'm SO GLAD you did! Because they are AWESOME! Truffles are fabulous little two stamp stamp gorgeous red rubber stamp sets that are fun, super affordable, and, just so happen to be AWESOME designs, too! Here is one of the first cards I created using one of the new Truffles!


Ummm.... I LOVE THIS SET!!! YAY! I used the super cute Enjoy the Ride Truffles set and embossed it in white on a blue card base. I then simply used a marker to highlight areas of the design. LOVE!


The whole Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team has been having some fun with these great sets, so check out the others to see what they have created! We played with whatever we wanted, so you will get to see LOTS of different ideas with different sets! YAY!

A Beachy Christmas with Gourmet Rubber Stamps

The Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team members have a wonderfully refreshing color challenge to share with you today!

Isn't that just gorgeous? Totally makes me want to head to the beach! I love the beach no matter what the weather! I guess that comes from being a New England girl! I did decide to create a holiday card using these beautiful tones...


I used the beautiful shell and starfish from the Pack Your Bags set and pulled the sentiment from the Holiday Lane set. I love the beachy feel to this one!


I added some pretty tapes and some gorgeous tinsel twine from The Twinery to finish it off.
