Happy Halloween!

And HAPPY THE REDSOX WON THE WORLD SERIES DAY!!!!!!!!  I'm just a tad bit excited.  And tired.  Very.  Very.  Tired.  HA!

I do have a super fun Halloween card to share with you today, however!  I pulled out one of my stencils, as I'm trying to use those more being that they are all trendy and such.  HA!

Halloween Greetings

To create the background, I layered the tree stencil over the natural cardstock and then pressed my VersaMark pad all over it.  This put ink on the negative space and I heat embossed that with a wicked cool embossing enamel from Stampendous that created a perfect night sky!  I love it!

Halloween Greetings (detail)

I die cut a circle for the moon and inked it and then punched a few bats to surround it.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company's Halloween Chatter set.  I LOVE that set!  I made some cute treat bags for the office with those stamps, too!  So easy!

So, all in all, today we have candy coming from every direction AND the Red Sox won the Series, so, while I may be exhausted, it is going to be a GREAT DAY!

Have a Happy, folks!  Happy Halloween!

Jingle Out.

Christmas with Crafter's Companion

***This is my SECOND post of the day.  To check out my CAS-ual Fridays post please scroll down or click here!  It's kind of an awesome card, so I would love your comments.  Just sayin'.***

I have some exciting news to share today! I am fortunate to be guest designing for Crafter's Companion this month! They have some seriously beautiful stamps and I am really looking forward to sharing my designs with you over the course of the month!

My first card uses the Setnimentals EZMount Christmas Magic stamp set. Thist stamp has SO many fabulous holiday sentiments! I love it!

Merry and Bright

I stamped the tree in a grey tone and then sort of created a tree-skirt look with the sentiment stamp by stamping it in red. A few drops of glitter glue adorn the tree delightfully! I do so love sparkle!

Merry and Bright

I hope you will head on over to the Crafter's Companion Facebook page to check out the fun stuff they have going on over there! You can even let them know I sent you, if you'd like!

Have a Happy!

Stick a Bird On It!

Yup.  I did it.  I stuck a bird on it.  And I LOVE it!!!  I am playing with some AMAZINGLY fun goodies from IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® today!  I am excited to share this fun project with you!  Here is the card I created and a full tutorial on how you can create this same look yourself!

Thanks so Much

Supplies:
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Canary, Scarlet, and Turquoise
IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Smokey Grey
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink in Rocket Red
White Cardstock
Black Cardstock
Martha Stewart Bird Sticker

Stick a bird on it step 1

Step 1.  In the corner of a sheet of cardstock, stamp your IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink directly to the cardstock, applying a large amount of ink with each press.  Allow the ink to dry or expedite the process with a heat gun.

Stick a Bird On it Step 2

Step 2.  Spritz the inked block with IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray to add a bit of shimmer and texture to the ink.  I love how neat this looks!  Allow to dry, or, again, speed up the process with a heat gun.

Step 3.  Cut out the block and mount on black cardstock.  Adhere to white card base with foam tape.

Stick a Bird On It step 4

Step 4.  Stamp the sentiment below the block in Smokey Grey VersaFine ink.  Stamp the heart with Rocket Red Brilliance ink.

Stick a Bird On it Step 5

Step 5.  Affix the bird sticker to the block.

And with that, my dear friends, I bid you adieu!

Have a Happy!

Brushstroke Butterflies

I have another card today inspired by the awesomeness over at the Online Card Classes Summer Card Camp 2!  I am loving this, you guys!  For reals!  For this one, I used markers to color some punched butterflies that I added to my card.  I used dye ink markers (Momento) to achieve a really pretty brushstroke look on them.  I love how that worked!  I never think to just use my markers for these types of things!  I'm always reaching for the colored cardstock or patterned paper, so this was a fun diversion from my norm!

Butterfly Thank You

I used the awesome Thank You Heart die set from Simon Says Stamp for the focal point sentiment on this one.  I LOVE that die!!!  Lots.  The butterflies are actually punched instead of die cut.  Yup.  With a good 'ole Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch.

Butterfly Thank You (detail)

I used a lot of white with the color combo again.  I have to admit.  It is easier to do the brown tones with the purple and blue tones if you add a lot of white.  I like white, what can I tell ya?  LOL!  I gave it a bit of texture with the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder.  I like that one a lot because it is super versatile!

Anyway... color your die cuts or punched pieces!  It's a neat trick and super easy to do.  AND...you then have something that is the color you want instead of whatever close-to-what-you-wanted color you could dig up in your stash!  That's ALWAYS a good thing!

Have a Happy!
