Tag! You're it!

Well, the great Bossy Joscie is sponsoring CAS-ual Fridays this week, so you KNOW I wasn't going to miss out on that one!  I love creating gift tags, but I often forget about them until the last minute around Christmas time.  I've been doing a few this year and I am loving it!  They are so much fun!

Winter Wishes Tag

I used Tami Mayberry's Simple Snowflakes clear set for this tag.  I love that fabulous snowflake sentiment stamp!  YAY!  I then added a simple, die cut accent from a Studio Calico kit and, of course, the Fancy Star Flair from Bossy Joscie!  I finished off the tag with some super fabulous chevron ribbon from May Arts and a bit of twine from The Twinery!  Here's my confession...I just recently discovered this way of adding the ribbon to a tag and I LOVE IT!  So cute!

Now I just need to decide who's gift gets this fun tag!  YAY!  I hope you have  super fabulous day!  The Hubbums and I will actually be in court this morning to hopefully resolve the Road Rage Incident that happened just after we moved.  Praying for the right outcome, that's for sure!  See you all tomorrow!!!!

Elie Saab Inspired Warm Thoughts

Have you seen the Runway Inspired Challenge blog?  It's kind of awesome, actually.  I have been following since it started, but, somehow I haven't actually played along and I decided that I needed to fix that problem, so I created a card inspired by the current Elie Saab Spring 2012 Inspired challenge to share with you today!

Here is the inspiration image.

I loved the pinks and blues against the black and I also like how, despite the black, the look has a soft, wispy feel. I pulled out my Momento Rose Bud, Teal Zeal, and Danube Blue inks along with some black cardstock to recreate that feel in card form.

Sending Warm Thoughts

I stamped the snowflakes from the Simple Snowflakes set by Tami Mayberry for Gina K. Designs onto the card, masking areas with washi tape. (The clear is currently sold out, but you can get the rubber for the same price!) I then misted the stamped snowflakes with a bit of water to give it a watercolor look, removed the tape and allowed that to dry. I cut strips of black cardstock to add the bold lines and then stamped the sentiment in black along the side. A pink May Arts ribbon finishes it off, much like the pink shoes in the photo! (Okay...on my blog they look kind of reddish, but on the original post with a white background, I was seeing pink. Either way, still a pop of color.)

Sending Warm Wishes (detail)

I had SO much fun with this challenge! Here's hoping you will see me participating in this one more often now that I got started! Have a happy Tuesday!

For my card I wanted a clean and simple look that really popped using Tami Mayberry's newest stamp set, Simple Snowflake. I stamped the border image and embossed with white embossing powder from Stampendous! I did the same with the sentiment, rounded a couple of corners, and ended up with a really pretty card!

A Warm Hello

I love white on kraft, I just think it looks SO pretty! And it works so well with these GORGEOUS stamps!

It's time for a Brand New Tami Mayberry Release for Gina K. Designs!

And I'm officially in love.  Can you be in love with a fabulous winter stamp set?  'Cause I'm totally in love with this fabulous winter stamp set.  Just sayin'.  The Tami Mayberry Team is joining forces with the Gina K. Team today to inspire YOU with this gorgeous set called Simple Snowflake!

I chose a soft color palette to show off the gorgeous snowflake sentiment stamp in this set!

Winter Wishes

I punched the circles and adhered them somewhat randomly and then stamped the sentiment image directly on the card. A bit of twine made the perfect finishing accent!

AND...for those interested in an update...we have made it through the worst of Sandy quite well. We still have power, although, last I heard my parents are out, as are several other people we know. My sister had also lost power and I'm not sure if she has it back yet this morning. Power has already been restored in some areas, while I believe others will likely be waiting a few days. We will see how it goes. We were fortunate to not lose ours, as many in our town did. There is quite a bit of small debris around, but, again, nothing as dangerous as it could have been, so that is all good. We are thankful.

Show Me The Stamps! Blog Hop Time! LOVE IT!

***This is my second post of the day! Be sure to click here or scroll down to see the cutest Itsy Bitsy Spider ever! :)***

Well, this is an exciting day!  The Tami Mayberry team and the Beth Silaika team have come together for a super fun blog hop featuring Tami and Beth's super fun stamps!  YAY!  Today Tami's group is showing off the Take Note set!  I decided to combine that set with Tami's fabulous You Go Girl! set for my fun card today!

Love it!

I stamped the 'blah, blah, blah' chatter in the background on pink cardstock and then added some fun neon washi for some super color popness!  Just sayin'.  For the frame, I got a little tricky!  You see, I have the clear version of the Take Note set (which you will need if you want to manipulate your stamps like this), but...even with the clear version...you have to be a bit brave to achieve this look.  I cut out the middle.  LOL!  Yup!  I took a pair of scissors and cut out the middle part of the stamp.  This left the border and allows me to manipulate it into fun new shapes like this one!  I do suggest only doing this if you have grid block available, as you will need a bit of a guide to get it straight after it's been cut.  (Unless you have an amazing eye, but I don't, so I use my Fiskars stamp press grid!  YAY!)

Love it!  (detail)

And here's Little Miss Sassy a bit closer!  Hee-hee!  So fun!  So...head on over to the other blogs in today's hop for even more inspiration!  FUN TIMES, folks!  FUN TIMES!

I Really Wanted to Keep it Clean.... {WOYWW}

You know how it goes, right?  You get a new space and you are bound and determined to keep it all sparkling clean all of the time.  I do this every. single. time we move.  Every time, I tell you!  LOL!  And that's quite a lot, actually.  But, alas, it simply isn't possible for me!  HA!  So...here you have it...the current state of my workspace!

WOYWW Oct. 2, 2012 (1)

This is the broader view...it's crazy, I telly you!!!  CRAZY!

WOYWW Oct 2, 2012 (2)

Let's see...a few favorite things in there... a new Paper Smooches stamp set that I'm totally loving, my Corner Chomper (LOVE IT!!!)  Some fun ink colors I used on a couple of cards recently, including the one I posted yesterday, a snack box of gold fish I was supposed to alter ages ago... YUP!  All in all...some pretty darned fun stuff!  LOL!

WOYWW Oct 2, 2012 (3)

And on this side, we have a pile o' washi tape..always a good thing, some Lawn Fawn Halloween stamps that are still begging for ink, a set of Tami Mayberry stamps that I've been having fun with, the remnant scraps of the card that will go live today at 9am eastern, some Eyelet Outlet brad cuteness, and glitter.  Because there should always be some glitter around somewhere!  YAY!

So, that's that.  To see some more, perhaps slightly tidier workspaces, be sure to check out Julia's blog!

As for me, I'm not feeling so hot today AND I have to go to the dentist... This day should be interesting to say the least.

Make It Happen!

Today is the official release day for Tami Mayberry's brand new Take Note set! I showed you a fun card using these great stamps last week and today I want to show you one that is a bit outside of the box for this fun set of stamps!

Make It Happen

For this one I took a note from Miss Amy Tsurata. She's always using fun tags in creative ways on her cards, so I thought I'd give it a shot! I'm no Amy, but I think it turned out rather fun!

You might have noticed that there is no rainbow in the Take Note set. Nope. There isn't. BUT...there IS a nice, straight line stamp. A line stamp? You say? Yup. A line. A straight line. AND...when you get the clear stamps you can manipulate that line to be anything you want it to be! I used it several times in different colors to create a child-like sketch-style rainbow! TOTALLY FUN! I used the small heart stamp for my 'raindrops' and stamped the 'make it' portion of the sentiment at the top of the tag before adding the 'happen' portion with Thickers.

Make it Happen (detail)

AND...there is even more Take Note inspiration today coming from the Gina K and Tami Mayberry Design Teams! You can check it all out over on Tami's blog!

Bright and Happy Friday!

Yes.  It's Friday.  Yes.  I feel the need to announce that because I am SO happy about it.  Just sayin'.  AND...it's a rainy Friday here in Mass, but that doesn't mean it can't be a bright and happy day, nonetheless!  So, here is my card for today!

Bright and Happy

Bright and Happy!  BRIGHT AND HAPPY!  Bright and Happy!!!!!!!!  Yup.  I'm totally feelin' it today.  Actually, I did yoga for the first time in like months this morning, and I had totally forgotten how AMAZING it makes me feel!  I've been working out and stuff, but it's not the same.  The yoga extends to mind, body, and soul and MAN do I feel good today!  REALLY Really good.  For reals, folks.  For reals.

Bright and Happy (detail)

I made this Bright and Happy card with Tami Mayberry's Lighthearted Wishes stamp set!  LOVE this set!  (I think I've said that before...like lots....but...the thing is.... it's totally and completely and utterly true, so I'm saying it again.  Just sayin'.  Again.  HAHAHA!)  I paper pieced the little lamp with Crate Paper papers and added a strip of Queen & Company washi tape and May Arts burlap string to accent it.  I like the pop of color it's got got going on there with the lamp.  I also coated the base of the colored lamp with Glossy Accents.  FUN stuff, folks.  Fun stuff.  For reals, though.  It's fun.

K.  SOOooooo...as you can see I'm already pretty hyper due to that yoga session this morning, AND.. the cupcake truck is going to be around the area of my office today so I'm TOTALLY going to be hitting that sucker up for some afternoon sugar!  It oughtta be a FUN day!  Just sayin'.

K.  That's all.  I'll stop rambling now.  Have a super fantastically wonderfully spectacular Friday, friends!!!!

Thinking of you on a Global Scale {Tami Mayberry Blog Hop!}

Tami Mayberry has just released a brand new stamp set for Gina K. Designs called Take Note!  This is SUCH a fun set!  It's great for card makers, but SO FABULOUS for scrapbookers, too!  I can TOTALLY see this set as being a PERFECT Project Life tool!  I had some fun with this great set creating this card!

Thinking of You

I particularly love that the frame and the paper lines are two different stamps!  There is SO much flexibility with that!  I also brought in the sentiment from the AWESOME Lighthearted Wishes set for this one!  The globe is October Afternoon (Boarding Pass collection) and I love that I was able to stamp that cute arrow directly on the chipboard cutout!  SO FUN!

Global Thinking of You (detail)

This was a fun little card to put together.  I have a feeling I'm going to be pulling out these neat paper sheet stamps a lot...they are so easy to use (particularly if you order the clear set) and you can do SO MUCH with them!  I have more ideas spinning, so stay tuned!  :)

Here is a look at the entire set! I'm telling you..it's a great one!
