Zip It!

Hello! It is ANYTHING GOES week over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week! This week, the Design Team is playing with Technique Tuesday products this week! You don't have to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them! I decided to use the super fun zipper die that I haven't had the chance to use quite yet!

Birthday Mouse

I used the fun new Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critter Accessories stamp set to create a little birthday scene. I colored with colored pencils for a playful look and then die cut the zipper in the front card panel. I used strips of cardstock on the back of the panel to secure the gift card, but once the zipper is pulled, it is easily removed! This is a super fun way to add an interactive element to your cards!

Isn't this a super fun way to give a gift card?! I love it! I really do! Now it's YOUR turn! Create a NEW project... anything you'd like to make...and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store! You know you want to win that goodness!!! Just be sure the project is new. Backlinked entries will not be counted.

Have a Happy!

Make it SPARKLE!

Happy Christmas Eve EVE! I confess, I am still sneaking Christmas cards into my creating. And I still need to send them, so that works out well, actually. HA! The challenge this week over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog is to Make it Sparkle! Ummm... okay! I LOVE sparkle. For reals, though. I love it. Lots.

The Design Team is featuring Technique Tuesday products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them! Technique Tuesday has a great selection of truly unique stamps and dies. Plus, I happen to adore two of their designers, Cath and Teri. They contribute amazing designs with a whole lot of love behind them. YAY!

Joy to the World

I used the absolutely GORGEOUS Cath Edvalson Garden Leaves Die set for my card. Cath's designs are based on her own papercutting work so they have absolutely incredible details. I love this leaf die so much! I coated each cut with my Wink of Stella clear to make it truly sparkle and then layered them to create a totally unique look. A few Jillibean Soup self adhesive sequins add both color and sparkle to the swag. Those things are a tad bit on the amazing side.

Joy to the World (detail)

The sentiment comes form the Hero Arts Clearly Kelly Fa La La La La stamp set. (Yup. That was officially fun to type. And yup... I totally sang it.) It is heat embossed with a red glitter embossing powder to add even more sparkle to my card design. YAY for sparkle! I used my MISTI to get perfect placement for both the 'joy' and the 'to the world'. I have to admit. I fought purchasing one of those things for a LONG time, but I am a convert. I love that thing!

Now it's YOUR TURN! Create something fabulous and MAKE IT SPARKLE! Link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! I bet you would enjoy some post holiday shopping!

In the meantime, have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for being awesome!

We Need a Little Christmas, Right This Very Minute!

We need a little Christmas, Nowwwww!  Tee-hee!  YAY!  I do so love that song.  And I'm totally cool with diving into making a few fun Christmas things in the middle of August!  It's just plain FUN!  Woot!  Woot!  Today I am sharing a super fun tag that I created with some of Teri Anderson's BRAND NEW stamps from Technique Tuesday!  I love this set SO MUCH!  AND... they were the perfect fit for Cath's Holiday Gift Tag Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!  Love that!

Noel Tag

To stamp the Noel lighter and lighter I used Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Momento Luxe ink on the vellum.  That ink is SO creamy and thick!  I love that I can get such a great gradual color loss with it when stamping repeatedly!  I could have kept going, too!!!  It's so perfect for this technique.

I layered the vellum over a sheet of Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain cardstock.  I love the bit of texture underneath the vellum.  So fun!  The ribbon is a fabulous one from May Arts and the enamel dots are My Mind's Eye.

I hope you have a super fantastic fabulous kind of day!  Today is the start of entire week off for me, so I fully intend to enjoy it!  YAY!

Have a Happy, folks!

CAS-ual Fridays Hunger Games

It's time for a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge!  This week's theme is Hunger Games!  We want to see you use ARROWS in your project!  I pulled out some super fun Avery Elle dies for my arrow card!

Loving Life with You By My Side

I die cut the arrows from cork and then assembled them on the natural cardstock base.  I love that combination!  It's happy making!

Loving Life (detail)

I stamped the sentiment in navy ink and added a few sequins for a bit of glam!  I love the textures, both physical and visual, on this one!  YAY!

Head on over to CAS-ual Fridays and check out what the rest of the team has created!  It's some pretty fabulous stuff, folks!  Then create your own card using ARROWS and link it up for your chance to win a great prize from Simon Says Stamp!

Have a Happy!

Let's Roll.... away....in a grocery cart... carried by balloons....heart shaped ones....

Just sayin'. That sounds like a HECK of a good time to me! HA! I mean, for REALS, folks! Can you just imagine? Picture it with me. You are sitting in the back of a grocery cart, arms around your knees being carried along by a big, wonderful bunch of shiny red heart shaped balloons! RIGHT?! TOTALLY fun. K. So, yeah, that would rock. Why are we discussing this? Well, because I made a card for JUST such an occasion! YAY!

Let's Roll

And now you TOTALLY want to do it even more because the cuteness is SO evident! LOVE! I used the super fun Grocery Cart die from Paper Smooches and the SUPER CUTE Pucker Up stamp set designed by Teri Anderson for Technique Tuesday. LOVE IT!

Let's Roll (detail)

Ummm.... so, seriously. I love those stamps AND I love that die. Actually, that's how this card came to be. I simply loved everything on it so much I had to use it. All at once. 'Cause that's how I roll. HA!

So... are YOU up for a grocery cart adventure today? 'Cause, DUDE, it would rock. For reals.

Have a Happy!
