Come Rain or Shine

Hello! Come Rain or Shine we always have a new challenge for you each week and that is exactly what we have for you THIS week! A Come Rain or Shine themed challenge! Woot! The Design Team is featuring Avery Elle products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you've got some, feel free to use them in your project for the challenge this week!

Like, you have no idea!

I pulled out a fun Avery Elle stamp set, but then I just kept going! I used a few different manufacturers together on this one and I love how well they all worked together! My little chicks and the grass are from Avery Elle, the umbrella and the raindrops are from Mama Elephant, and the sentiment stamps are from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I colored everything with Spectrum Noir markers and added a strip of Amy Tangerine washi tape to accent the design. Isn't it fun to bring together what you have on hand for a totally new design? And it is so CUTE!!!

And now it's YOUR turn to create something fabulous! One lucky participant is going to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store! You know you want THAT fabulous prize!

Wrap It Up!

Hello, folks! It is TIME for a BRAND NEW CHALLENGE on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! This week we want to see you WRAP IT UP! We want to see you use ribbon, twine, and/or string on your projects this week. The Design Team is featuring May Arts products. You don't have to use them to play along, but we'd love to see them on your projects if you have some around!

I decided to do something other than a card this week, which is pretty odd for me, but you know how it goes... sometimes you just go WILD AND CRAZY folks! Wild. And Crazy.

These wood tags, THOUGH!!! For reals. I absolutely love these things. They are from the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers collection and you can't buy any because I want them all. Wait... not, that's not what I'm supposed to say... well... fine. I'll share, then. You can find them here. Hmph.

I colored them with a chalkboard marker, but you could also use Chalkboard Paint to create the black chalkboard surface. I then stamped and embossed them with the Winnie & Walter Happy Christmas stamp set images. This stamp set was a perfect one for these fun tags! Finally, I stapled May Arts gold string and burlap string to the back of the wood slice with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to finish off my tags. I seriously want to make lots of these. LOTS, I tell you!

Because Adorable Fox

It's Wednesday and that  means it is TIME for a NEW Challenge!!! This week will be tricky for some of you and perhaps not-so-tricky for others. We are challenging you to use NO Patterned Paper! That's right! You can create your own patterns using stamps or stencils or whatever, just no printed patterns. Let those 6x6 paper pads rest this week! The Design Team is featuring Taylored Expressions products this week! I picked an adorable Little Bits Fox die and I LOVE HIM!

The Happiest by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #JustJingle #TayloredExpressions

Isn't he adorable?! He totally is. TOTALLY! I wanted a bit of extra somethin' somethin', so I added two strips of the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers Mini Washi Tape below my fox. I LOVE these tapes. For reals, though.

Because They Brought Us Together

I am sure many of you have heard the news that Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Magazine will no longer be publishing after February of 2015. This magazine has been such a huge part of so many lives, including my own. The editors have worked hard to not only create an amazing publication, but to bring together a community of crafters. I have met some of my closest friends through my connections due to Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking and they have helped me in many other ways, as well, including making me feel confident in my work. Today we have this amazing blog hop to bid the magazine farewell and to congratulate the editors for a job well done.

High Five!

I couldn't bring myself to create a goodbye or even a thank you card because those felt too 'finished'. Instead, I created this HIGH FIVE! card. You deserve it, folks! A high five to you for all you have done and a high five to you for all you WILL do. Jennifer, Stacy, Susan, Kerri, Holly, Matt, and Melinda - Thank you. You guys are amazing. High Five!

You may have come from the Operation Write Home blog, if not, you may wish to head back to Jennifer McGuire's blog for the start of the hop. Next on the list is A Creative Journey! Happy Hopping!

Have a Happy.

Supplies:

Patterned Paper: Shimelle Collection
Sticker: Amy Tangerine
Die: Spellbinders Pierced Circle
String: May Arts

Go Shawty, it's Your BIrthday!

Okay, I know I said I'd step away from the neon, but I PROMISE I made this card before I said that.  Promise.  For reals.  And it is SUPER CUTENESS, anyway!!!!  HA!

FIRST of all, these stamps EXIST, dude!  No, like, for reals.  Awesome. flippin'. stamps.

Go Shawty

And they are singles, so you get one image and it's companion sentiment and there are LOTS of hilarious ones!!!  They were designed by the super fab Erin Schriener for Unity Stamp Co. and you  need them all.  Well, I did, anyway.  HA!

Go Shawty (detail)

I did, of course, use the new Neon inks from Tsukineko for this one, but I mixed it up by using my waterbrush to color the image in with the inks.  I love how it turned out!  Lime sherbert, anyone?

I am linking up to Friends With Flair Friday because, well, this card obviously need sharing.  Obviously.

ALSO....I am hosting a Jamberry Nails Party and I am having a BLAST with it!  The party closes tomorrow (Saturday night), but I wanted to give my blog readers a heads up!  All the standard nail wraps are buy 3 get 1 free!  These things last about 2 weeks even WITH constant crafting (as in, my level of production, here, folks....).  AND, they are wicked super cute to boot!  Head on over to my online party to check them out!!!  A friend of mine recently became a consultant and I am trying to make this a super successful party for her!

Have a Happy, friends!

A Happy Hello

Hello, friends!  I hope you are having a spectacular Tuesday!  Tuesdays should be spectacular, should they not?  I say they shall henceforth and forthwith and such.  And, for this spectacular Tuesday I have a bit of a Happy Hello to share with you today.

Happy Hello

Squeee! How much fun are these papers? Totally fun. That's how much. Completely and totally. I so love them. Yes, they are from the American Crafts Yes, Please collection in the Amy Tangerine line. LOVE! I cut out the cameras, and the clouds and sun to create the accents on this card. The chevron border is one of the strips from the top of the sheet. Is it just me, or does everyone else feel like you are TOTALLY getting a freebie with those fun little border strips? It makes them more fun to use. Totally.

Happy Hello (detail)

I stamped the sentiment in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Smokey Grey and the small heart is stamped in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaMagic™ Chalk Pigment Ink in Pixie Dust. I just like that color because it's called Pixie Dust. Not gonna lie. HA! The stamps are from the super cute Hello, Foxy mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink.

I hope you have a super fabulous and absolutely spectacular Tuesday!

Have a Happy!

Heat Embossing on Patterned Paper - Yup. Totally doing it.

And totally LOVING it.  So, yeah, basically, for this card I started by stamping a large, solid diamond on patterned paper and then heat embossed it with a bold, red-toned embossing enamel.  I love that part!!!

Thank you for Everything

I used some awesome stamps from Hero Arts (see links below).  I LOVE this set!  Seriously.  It's just so USEFUL!  I also totally love that paper and the colors, and, well, basically... you understand.  I know you do.  'Cause you guys are just cool like that.  *sigh* Thanks for being cool like that.

Thank you for everything (detail)

So. That's what I have for you today. I love this one. Not gonna lie. I hope you love it, too! YAY! AND...I hope your day is super fantastic! It is certainly a BEAUTIFUL morning here in Massachusetts, so I'm looking forward to enjoying a few moments today. Moments. That's what it's all about.

Have a Happy!

P.S.  I have lost the source for that sentiment.  If anyone is able to tell me what it is, that would pretty much ROCK!  Thanks!

How About A Dash of Gourmet Color?

I think that sounds like a perfectly lovely way to begin a week, so let's go for it!  We have a brand new color challenge for you over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps and it is a pretty one!

Right? Right. Very pretty! I pulled out my Truffles Thinking of You set with this super pretty bunch of flowers for my card.

Thinking of You

I used a subtle pattern paper with black and white for the grey tone instead of a solid grey. I like how it reads as a grey due to the small pattern.

Thinking of You (detail)

This image looks so pretty embossed in green! It makes me happy! Be sure to head on over to the Gourmet Rubber Stamps blog to link up your own creation and to check out what the rest of the team has created!

Have a Happy, my friends!!!

Jingle Out!
