Winter Wonderland

The January 2015 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit has been revealed and it is a good one, folks! First of all.. THAT INK PAD! Seriously. You want it. Trust me on this one. The stamps are absolutely fabulous and the papers? Yup. LOVE those! Seriously, this is such a great kit!

Snowy Thanks

That gorgeous grey-toned snowy paper caught my eye right away! I used that along with the Simon Says Stamp Smoke cardstock to create this fun design. The white sentiment is stamped with that gorgeous white pigment ink. I LOVE how strong the white color is on the grey background! I mixed the Perfect Pearl Pigment with some water in the Mini Mister and added shimmer to the entire card with that! LOVE IT! For reals, though.

Snowy Thanks (detail)

You can *almost* see a hint of the shimmer on the patterned paper in this shot, but the truth is, I simply wasn't able to really capture that on camera and that makes me sad. BUT... I can see it in person and that makes me happy, so there's that.

Head on over to the Simon Says Stamp store to check out the kit, along with LOTS of other awesome new stuff!

Have a Happy!

Noel and a GIVEAWAY!

Well, the Christmas season is definitely in full swing. I know this because I am drinking eggnog flavored coffee as I type. Yup. Eggnog iced coffee. It's kind of fabulous. For reals, though. BUT, Christmas is a time for giving, sooooo.... I have a GIVEAWAY! Yes, my friends, I am giving away two gorgeous Spellbinders® die sets today! But first, a card...

DSCN6202

I created this fun window card using the absolutely GORGEOUS Heirloom Reflections Die set. This set has four BEAUTIFUL ornaments (two dies each) in it and I just love them! They are so pretty! I combined them with some DCWV Glitzy papers and the and the BoBunny Candy Cane Lane paper pad for a simple, but very stand-out card! I love how this turned out! The ornament is hung in the die cut circle so it sort of spins in the window. So fun!

What's that? You really love those dies and you want them? OKAY! I can help you with that! I have both the Heirloom Reflections set AND the Holiday Greetings die to give away to ONE lucky winner! It's my Christmas present to YOU, my readers!

I Cheated. Totally, dude.

Today's new release from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is AWESOME! It is a super fabulous die that coordinates with the beautiful Truth Is stamp set, which happens to be one of my personal favorites in the CAS-ual Fridays line! Naturally, I didn't use that stamp set. At all. HA! For reals, though, you guys, as SOON as I saw the dies, this idea popped into my head and I HAD to make it happen. Cupcakes. It had to be cupcakes.

They Say It's Your Birthday

Ack! Isn't that fun? Yes, they are supposed to be super pretty flowers, and they are...and you will see them used that way over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog, but I just HAD to do something totally fun with them! These are SUPER versatile dies...trust me... go check out the inspiration! *wink* *wink*

Inspired by Debby Hughes

Don't forget to enter my current GIVEAWAY! Go to THIS POST for more information!

Wow! Day 1 of the Holiday Card Workshop over at Online Card Classes was AWESOME! I was super inspired by the designs, and made this fun card, inspired heavily by Debby Hughes, last night. The sketch/layout is all hers, as are many of the components. I switched up some of the colors and a created a 'dip dyed' look on my snowflake rather than on the tag like she did, but I am LOVING the look! I need to do that more often!

Happy Christmas

I used the snowflake dies from Avery Elle, with which I am IN LOVE, along with a great tag die from WPlus9. Debby used a cute stamped snowflake as the center of the die cut snowflake, but I chose to use a heart flair button from Bossy Joscie, instead.

Happy Christmas (detail)

For the sentiment, I wanted Happy Christmas, rather than Merry Christmas. Mostly because Happy Christmas just makes me happy. For reals, though. SO, I pulled out the Spellbinders® Holiday Sentiments dies (you have the 'merry' option, if you prefer that) and created the white on white look. I LOVE those dies so much!

You can find the links to the supplies I used below! These are affiliate links and your support is appreciated!

Because Creamsicles are Delicious

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Mmmmmm! Yes. They. Are. I'm a big fan. Which is funny, because I'm not actually a huge fan of oranges, I mean, they are okay, but not something I reach for often. And the orange flavored jelly beans really aren't my favorite, either, but for some reason, the minute you mix an oragey flavor with creamy goodness, I am in heaven, my friends! HEAVEN! I do so love creamsicles. And creamsicle flavored drinks with alcohol in them. For reals, though... those are awesome. Just sayin'.

ANYWAY, when my August kit from Simon Says Stamp arrived at my door, I saw creamsicles as soon as I this stamp set fell into my  hands! And what better way to create that refreshing, creamy look, than with watercolors?! Yup. I'm in love. With creamsicles. All over again.

So Cool

The new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, yes, afterall, that is the reason we have gathered together today (Nope, not MAAAWAIGE this time, folks.... or for this thing called life... nope, not that one today, either. Although, now I do really want to listen to Prince all day and watch the Princess Bride. K. Tangent done. Moving forward.). Right. New challenge. It's EMBOSS IT! Yup! We want to see you emboss! You can heat emboss, dry emboss, use embossing paste, WHATEVS, folks! Just EMBOSS IT!

you're cool (detail)

I used the super awesome matt dull embossing powder from Wow for my image and then watercolored over it to create a resist. For the textured background, I mixed embossing paste with glitter, because glitter, and then spread it over a stencil to create the dotted background. I kind of love it. Lots. For reals, though.

You're Cool (detail2)

And now it's YOUR TURN! One lucky participant will win a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Yup. Dudes. You know you want that. SO, all you need to do is create a NEW project (up to FIVE) with the EMBOSS IT! theme and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! Happy Crafting, folks!

You can find the links to the goodies I used to create my card below!

All that Glitters

***Don't forget that I have Giveaways Monday through Friday this week so check posts for those!***

It's time for this months Use your Stash Design Team reveal! The challenge this month is an easy one for lots of you, so I hope you will jump in and try to win the great prize! All you have to do is pull out your GLITTER! Glitter is a good thing! A very good thing! I love it! I even love when I finish a project and I'm covered with it! LOL! I'm kinda like a little girl in that respect!

Here is the layout that I created for this challenge and I hope that you are inspired enough to jump in this month! It's easy! Just create a layout using Glitter and post it to Mr. Linky over at This Post!

"30"

I apologize for the horrendous photograph. This one gave me fits! Lots of black with a big flash of candle light in the middle will do that to you! LOL! Oh, and the very lovely reflective glitter helped a lot, too! LOL!

To create the glittered line border beneath the photo I simply used a ruler with my Sakura Glue Pen and drew a few lines and sprinkled Pink Paislee Pixie Sticks glitter over them. Then I drew a few more glue lines and did the same in another color until I had three colors! I love the way it came out and it really wasn't hard at all! Then, I added a glitter border to my American Crafts Thickers by outlining them with the glue pen and sprinkling glitter on those, as well.

Here are some close up photos for you!

Here are the supplies I used for this layout:
Patterned Papers: BoBunny, Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Sassafrass Lass
Glitter: Pink Paislee
Glue Pen: Sakura
Thickers: American Crafts
Pen: Uniball Signo
