Shake It Up!

***This is my second post for today! Be sure to check out the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Calling All Sistahs blog hop and giveaway below!***

Happy Wednesday, friends! This week we are SHAKING IT UP with Simon Says Stamp for the Wednesday Challenge! The Design Team is using We R Memory Keepers products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them!

I pulled out my Fuse Tool to create a one of a kind pineapple shaker. I added cardstock below the first layer to create the pattern on the pineapple, and then removed the card so that I could fuse the edges of the pineapple. I filled it with super fun sequins and beads from Lucy's Cards. I love these sets! They are so perfect for shakers!

For this card, I decided to play with the inside a bit, too! I used the We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Pop-Up to create a gift card holder inside my card. I used some pineapple vellum to keep with my theme. This was SO much fun to make! This is designed to hold a gift card perfectly! You can use it as a pop-up in a card or by itself.

Now it's your turn! Create an awesome project featuring a shaker of some kind and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!

Hoppy Easter!

Hello, friends! We have a fun Pinterest Mood Board to inspire you, this week, for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! Whether the weather agrees or not (hee-hee...see what I did there?), Spring is coming this week for half the planet, and daggnabbit, we are going to celebrate that!

This week we want to see you created something inspired by this Pinterest Mood board! Choose one image, or a group of images to inspire your design. The Design Team is featuring Bazzill Basics products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but we would love to see them if you have some on hand!

Hoppy Easter

For this fun little Easter card, I used a few Bazzill products, along with an adorable stamp set from Mama Elephant. You can find my complete supply list at the bottom of this post. I fussy cut the bunny from cardstock and accented him slightly with a Copic for just a bit of visual interest.

You Were Meant To SHINE!

It is ANYTHING GOES week this week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week the Design Team is using Clearly Besotted and/or Lil' Inker Designs products on our projects. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you've got some we'd love to see them! I chose a super pretty stamp set from Clearly Besotted that I had in my studio just WAITING to be inked. I love it!

You Were Meant to Shine

I combined the gorgeous flowers from the Celebrating You stamp set with the super cute Bella Rouge collection from Pink Paislee. This is one of my favorites right now! I absolutely LOVE it! Just look at that BOW!!! LOVE IT!

Shine (detail)

I colored the flowers with Spectrum Noir pens and die cut the Spellbinders tag to layer over free-hand cut papers. A bit of ribbon and string help to add accent color and then... THAT BOW! *sigh* I love that bow. You can find my complete supply list below.

Now it's YOUR TURN! Create a NEW project and link it up to the ANYTHING GOES challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! WHAT?! Yup. Totally.

Planting Love and Groot, Yes, That Groot

Today I am SUPER DUPER EXTRA wicked excited to be on the Spellbinders blog showcasing a brand new and totally fabulous die from the Laced With Love collection called Planting Love. Here I am showing a fairly traditional use for this gorgeous die. I absolutely LOVE this tree! AND...the set comes with an entire plate of tiny hearts that you can add to the heart shaped tree. WHAT?! Yup. Totally fabulous, folks. For reals.

I die cut the tree from Planting love several times from brown cardstock and then once from woodgrain paper from DCWV.  I then stacked the cuts to create a ton of dimension and depth for this die. I am SO IN LOVE with it!!!! I used various elements from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge Collection, with which I am also in love. Seriously, though, you guys...awesome dies + awesome paper? What more can a crafty girl ask for?! A bit of May Arts silver string finishes off the design perfectly! And guess what? Yup. I totally love that, too. Are you feeling the love yet? 'Cause it is all up in this blog today.

HAHAHAHA!!!! I totally just said that. *sigh* That was hilarious. Okay...moving on, for reals, though...

Love Ya (detail)

This shot shows that depth from the stacked cuts. I so love this look. If you  haven't tried it yet, you simply MUST. It has such an awesome impact on the simplest of projects!

BUT, my friends, that's not ALL this gorgeous Planting Love die can do, oh, nosiree, BOB! It can also be Groot. Yes. That Groot. THE Groot.

THIS crazy, baby, bobble-headed, dancing in as pot Groot.

Groot Sneak

Wanna see more? Wanna know how I made him? Well, then I suggest you venture on over to the Spellbinders blog and check out that tutorial, my friends! Don't forget to leave a little love while you are there!

You guys rock, you know that, right?

Have a Happy!

You Are My Sunshine

The latest challenge from Lawnscaping is a texture challenge. I pulled out some of my favorite textured woodgrain paper along with some puffy stickers and some watercolor paper/paints to create my fun, textured card. It has a lot going on, but I like it. It's a fun one.

You are my Sunshine

I stamped, watercolored, and die cut the car, trailer, and trees and then added them using foam tape. I adhered some of the puffy stickers directly to the card and lifted the sun up with foam tape for added dimension. It's just kind of whimsical and playful!

You can find links to the products I used for my card below.

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Hiya! I have a quick one for you today, but it is stuffed with silver linings! No, like, literally...it's a cloud... with a silver lining.

DSCN4998

I used the super cute new Clouds set by Miriam Prantner for Neat and Tangled. I kind of love this set. It is super stinking cute! I combine the stamps with some great papers from the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine Paper Pad and a great Postage Stamp Frame dies from Simon Says Stamp. I used a silver pen to add the outline or, lining, if you will. I kind of love it.

Silver Lining (detail)

And there you have it! I should probably add some pun about silver linings or something witty, but, what can I tell ya, folks? I'm plumb out of puns today. It happens. I know. Sad story. Sad. Story. But, alas, I still can provide adorable card-ness, so there is that. I do what I can to please. HAHAHA!

Have a Happy!!!

Hello, friends! It is time for a brand new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and today it's all about SPOTS and DOTS! Yup! We want to see you polka! HAHAHAHA!!! Yup. DANCE, people, DANCE! No, but for reals, grab your favorite polka dots, spots, dots, etc. and make something fabulous! The Design Team is featuring Paper Smooches products this week. You don't have to use them to enter, but we would LOVE to see how you rock that cuteness if you have some on hand!

Cheer up, Grumpasaurus!

Ummm.. dinosaurs. I kinda love 'em. For reals, though. Make it a spotted dinosaur and you've just got pure and utter CUTENESS!!!! To achieve that look, I first colored my image with Spectrum Noir pens and then used the colorless blender to remove color to create the spots. I love this technique! It's fun, gives great texture, makes you look all fancy, AND... it's wicked easy. HA!

Cheer Up Grumpasaurus (detail)

If you look closely, you may be able to spot the bit of glimmer on the horns of my little speckled friend, there. Yup. Wink of Stella in action, baby! I do so love that thing.
