Dashing Through the Snow

For this one I used some super pretty Simon Says Stamp inks along with a great polka dot patterned paper from the Basic Grey Fresh Cut collection. A few little Hero Arts gem stones add just a bit of sparkle to the design.

Animal Antics Coming Your Way!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Yup! It's time for a brand new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and this week we are having some fun with Animal Antics! We want to see you using critters of all types in your projects this week! The design team is using some fabulous goodies from Stampendous! Stampendous! offers a LOT of adorable critter stamps, along with beautiful florals, gorgeous vintage, and even fun steampunk designs!

Hooray!

For my card I combined this adorable House Mouse Gifts to Tie stamp with a great sentiment from My Favorite Things' Birthday Greetings set. I watercolored the image and then added a big 'ole splotch of watercolor before stamping the sentiment. SO fun! Some quick work with my Wink of Stella brush adds just a touch of sparkle!

One lucky winner will, of course, win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  WHAT?!  Yup.  Totes, dudes.  Totes.

You can find the links to the products I used on my card below!

Because This is Our City

4.15.2013 2:49pm

Today we remember those lost, we celebrate those recovered, and we encourage those continuing their recovery. We are Boston Strong. This is our city.

Boston Strong

I created this card as more of a celebration than anything else. Around here, we take a lot of pride in our city. It's a big thing. We did that before, but we do it even more now. The colors are taken from the Boston Marathon colors.  Gotta love neon yellow and blue! The Boston Strong stamp was a limited edition from Hero Arts that was available for some time last year. The background is the Basic Grey/Hero Arts Highline Chalkboard stamp.  I used Tsukineko Radiant Neon inks.

You're Not My Friend

Today I have the last of my Stamping Royalty cards to share with you. Well, except for the Season's Greetings Category because I can't share that one, but you will see it in the July issue of Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine! Woot! Woot! This one was for the Friendship category. I pulled out the Highline Chalkboard Background stamp from Hero Arts/Basic Grey for a bit of fun technique play on this one!

Hello, you're not my friend.

I stamped the mint background and then, on a second panel, I stamped and clear embossed the background again. I inked over it with grey ink after embossing to get a reverse look and then used an iron to remove the embossing entirely, giving me the image in reverse. That was SO MUCH FUN!!!! I die cut the word Hello from the reverse panel and lined it up perfectly to sit on top of the same spot to make it seamless. I LOVE how this one turned out and that I ventured into new territory, too!

I hope you have enjoyed this week of my Stamping Royalty cards! I had SUCH a good time creating these and was super excited to share them, as I really put my all into them! I love them. All of them. For reals. I can't even help it.

In other news, I have a giveaway winner to announce! The winner of my Crafter's Companion prize is... Carol L! Congratulations, Carol! Please email me with your full name and mailing address so I can get this out to you!
