So Incredibly Grateful

Have you SEEN the November Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp? Have you SEEN IT? Well, it is fabulous. For reals fabulous.

Actually, I'm not even going to say too much, I'm just going to show you this card that I made with it. Because... THESE STAMPS, YOU GUYS!



I used the gorgeous leaf stamps with several different embossing powders to create a layered, embossed design on the Kona Coffee cardstock and layered that over one of the pretty patterned papers. I am in love with those leaves. Lots. Lots of love for leaves. And such.



AMIRIGHT? I am. You don't even have to answer that. Those leaves are awesome. Those stamps are awesome. This kit is awesome. Basically...

Everything is Awesome.

And I'll just leave that right there. *wink*

Winter Wonderland

The January 2015 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit has been revealed and it is a good one, folks! First of all.. THAT INK PAD! Seriously. You want it. Trust me on this one. The stamps are absolutely fabulous and the papers? Yup. LOVE those! Seriously, this is such a great kit!



That gorgeous grey-toned snowy paper caught my eye right away! I used that along with the Simon Says Stamp Smoke cardstock to create this fun design. The white sentiment is stamped with that gorgeous white pigment ink. I LOVE how strong the white color is on the grey background! I mixed the Perfect Pearl Pigment with some water in the Mini Mister and added shimmer to the entire card with that! LOVE IT! For reals, though.



You can *almost* see a hint of the shimmer on the patterned paper in this shot, but the truth is, I simply wasn't able to really capture that on camera and that makes me sad. BUT... I can see it in person and that makes me happy, so there's that.

Happy Thoughts from a Happy Card Kit

Hello, friends! I hope you all had a truly wonderful weekend! Today I have some happy thoughts from a happy card kit! Yup! The brand new Simon Says Stamp July 2014 Card Kit is now available and it is FABULOUS!!! I jumped right into mine with a couple of fun cards. I simply could not WAIT to play with this kit!

Yes, I am in LOVE with this kit!!! The colors? Awesome. The stamps? Fabulous! The ink? HOLY INK in a CARD KIT, BATMAN! The stickers? For REALS I want more. The papers? Yup. Those are awesome sauce, too. So, there you go. A great big bundle of FANTAWESOMULOUS! (That's a pretty fun word...go ahead...say it out loud. You know you want to. It's okay, we're all friends here.)



This is the first card I created with the kit. I LOVE these stamps so much it hurts. LOVE them!!! I was truly playing when I created this card, so I used a bit of everything in the kit. LOL! I used a couple of patterned papers, I used the tape, a sticker, one of the little stars, the ink, the stamps, AND the cardstock. Yup. I had fun. HA!

Find Your Happy

Is that just not the greatest sentiment EVER?!  I absolutely LOVE it!  I thought it would go well with a simple design, so I used it on this card.


I kept it simple, but added just a touch of elegance with the pretty little Allegro Corner die cut from Simon Says Stamp.

I have another card for you today, too! This one really utilized the elements in the Simon Says April 2013 Card Kit. Kits are awesome like that! Everything is gathered and coordinated for you making life SO EASY sometimes! Love it!


What I particularly love about kits is that, at least for me, they tend to challenge you to step outside your norms. I have been sharing cards I've made using the Simon Says April card kit all week and I had SO MUCH FUN creating these cards! I used WAY more patterned paper than I normally do, there is far less simple white and simple black than one usually sees on my cards, and yet... they are all still ME! And I LOVE that! This card, for example, I used an envelope on my card! DUDE! I totally wouldn't normally do that, but I love it! And what a great place to tuck a little gift card! I did add the Harrington Vine die, and I did use a sentiment from the Beautiful Words set instead of the the Happy Every Day set that came with the kit... wanna know a secret? That's TOTALLY OKAY, DUDES! You can mix it up! You can have fun with it! But what is awesome is that a kit is a super fantabulous source of inspiration and I do so love that! It's pretty great. Just sayin'.

So, try one! That's my advice to you! You can subscribe if you want, or you can maybe just pick up the May Kit to give it a shot! It's a GORGEOUS one, that is certain!!!

You Make Me Smile

I have a fun little card for you today that I actually created using the February Simon Says Stamp Card kit a bit ago.  I just never got around to blogging it for some reason.  Hmph!  HA!


I went for a more collage style on this card, as I loved the pretty pattern papers and wanted to really let them shine along with that super fun polka dot envelope!


I really like this card. I don't know what it is about breaking out of my comfort zone now and then, but it just feels good to make something a little outside my usual style now and then. Does that even make sense? LOL! The soft colors, the collage design, the doily... really? a DOILY?! Not usually my kinda thing, but it all came together nicely for this one. I hope you like it, too!

Don't worry... tomorrow I will be back to my CAS happiness! LOL! Oh...and we filmed another Craft Dash video for the current challenge, so that will be coming up in the next few days, as well. Lots of fun stuff going on around here!
