Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

So.  Hi.  I'm the new kid.  Yup.  I, upon the encouragement given by Jen, am participating in this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge thingy.  Okay... so they don't include the thingy part, but that's always what it's been in my head, so there you have it.  Keepin' it real, here, folks.  Keepin' it real.

The theme is WREATHS!  I'm not a big wreath person.  I don't even hang them in my house, although, I have made a few and I do appreciate their beauty very much.  I wanted to create my own wreath for my card, so I pulled out a couple of small PTI sets and made a heart wreath!



The adorable little heart is from the Heart-2-Herat #5 set, as is the bow.  I love them!  SO CUTE!!!  I sketched a circle lightly in pencil and then stamped my hearts and bow to create the wreath.  I then erased the pencil line after it was dry.



The sentiment is from the Tag-Its #9.  I stamped it and the bow in gold Delicata ink.  I love that stuff so much!  It is popped up on a simple rectangle panel over a strip of gold glitter tape.  LOVE!!!

So... there you have it.  I'm the new kid at the PTI party!  Woot!  Woot!

It's Your Special Day!

Happy Friday!!!!  I love Friday.  I really do.  I'm even more fond of Saturday and Sunday, actually.  Just putting that out there.  I do, however, have a super-dee-duper fun card to share with you!  Woot! (Oh, my goodness! I just saw the date and it's totally like JUNE 7th!  When the heck did THAT happen.  Yikes!)  Well, anyway.. moving on to funness .....  (Yes, I know that's not actually a word.  I like to generally disregard limitations and/or restrictions on super funtastic linguistics.  Just sayin'.)

This week we have a fun challenge for you over at CAS-ual Fridays!  It's all about Banners & Flags!  I pulled out some fun Papertrey Ink dies for this one and a SUPER cute stamps from There She Goes Clear Stamps.

Shh!  Don't tell anyone!  I totally colored on this card, dude!  Like.. for reals!  I used Spectrum Noir markers to create that cute bit of adorableness.  I love that this particular creature really has no 'real' color so he can totally be teal and nobody can even argue with me about it.  Not even a little.  YAY!  the papers are from the American Crafts Hip! Hip! Hooray 6x6 pad and they are TOTALLY fun and full of awesomesauce colors.  I stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Crafter's Companion paper because those are the BEST combo for coloring with alcohol markers!  LOVE!

ACK!  Hello, Mr. Happy Pants Cuteness!!!!  (Okay...so according to the package he's actually a she named Phyllis, but I kinda like Mr. Happy Pants Cuteness, so I'm going with it.  You with me on this one?  Woot!  Woot!)

A Happy Hello

Hello, friends!  I hope you are having a spectacular Tuesday!  Tuesdays should be spectacular, should they not?  I say they shall henceforth and forthwith and such.  And, for this spectacular Tuesday I have a bit of a Happy Hello to share with you today.


Squeee! How much fun are these papers? Totally fun. That's how much. Completely and totally. I so love them. Yes, they are from the American Crafts Yes, Please collection in the Amy Tangerine line. LOVE! I cut out the cameras, and the clouds and sun to create the accents on this card. The chevron border is one of the strips from the top of the sheet. Is it just me, or does everyone else feel like you are TOTALLY getting a freebie with those fun little border strips? It makes them more fun to use. Totally.


I stamped the sentiment in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Smokey Grey and the small heart is stamped in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaMagic™ Chalk Pigment Ink in Pixie Dust. I just like that color because it's called Pixie Dust. Not gonna lie. HA! The stamps are from the super cute Hello, Foxy mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink.
