You Were Meant To SHINE!

It is ANYTHING GOES week this week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week the Design Team is using Clearly Besotted and/or Lil' Inker Designs products on our projects. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you've got some we'd love to see them! I chose a super pretty stamp set from Clearly Besotted that I had in my studio just WAITING to be inked. I love it!

You Were Meant to Shine

I combined the gorgeous flowers from the Celebrating You stamp set with the super cute Bella Rouge collection from Pink Paislee. This is one of my favorites right now! I absolutely LOVE it! Just look at that BOW!!! LOVE IT!

I colored the flowers with Spectrum Noir pens and die cut the Spellbinders tag to layer over free-hand cut papers. A bit of ribbon and string help to add accent color and then... THAT BOW! *sigh* I love that bow. You can find my complete supply list below.

Now it's YOUR TURN! Create a NEW project and link it up to the ANYTHING GOES challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! WHAT?! Yup. Totally.

Another Butterfly Card

I told you guys I loved these butterflies, right? Because I totes do, dude. And I also love this embossing folder. Crafter's Companion goodness at it's best, folks! LOVE! The stamp set I used on this one is called True Colors and I paired that with the gorgeous Make a Wish embossing folder.

Butterfly Birthday

I colored the image using Spectrum Noir blendable colored pencils (90, 98, 102, 062, 063, 055, 002, 041, 036) on kraft cardstock. I love how the pencils look on the kraft! It's also a good chance to use the white, which is always welcome. HA!

Imagine the Possibilities

When these butterfly stamps from Crafter's Companion came out I KNEW I just had to have them!  I'm a sucker for a good butterfly stamp, in general, but these are HUGE and I totally love that! So, that being said, you may be seeing a few butterflies on my blog for a bit because I'm in love. In. Love, people. For reals.

Imagine the Possibilities

For this card I chose a simple black and white for the butterfly, itself. As soon as I bought these stamps I wanted to do something in black and white with them. They have so many wonderful details! I chose the butterfly from the 'The Butterfly Effect' set and the sentiment came from the 'True Colors' set. I stamped the sentiment with three different colors of distress inks to add both color and movement to the design.

Imagine the Possibilities (detail)

I added a few My Mind's Eye enamel dots and then a strip of Smash Tape along the bottom. And that's that!
I hope you have a truly delightful Friday, folks!

Have a Happy!

Everyone Wants Happiness

Today I have a sympathy card to share with you using some GORGEOUS stamps from Crafter's Companion.  I chose to use the Runway Inspired Challenge as inspiration for this card.  My colors are a bit bolder, but I loved the mix of color, white, and black pops that came from the inspiration photo.  I also liked how elements are a bit here and there, and yet organized at the same time.  Her black shoes grounded the dress perfectly, too.  Awesome!

I used the Stamp It! Australia Birds and Butterflies set with some distress inks and a beautiful sentiment from the Sentimentals Memories are Made set.  I love how beautifully these worked together!

Everyone Wants Happiness

The black mat and sequins added the perfect bit of black grounding in conjunction with the sentiment stamped in black.  I love the color on this, as well.  I splashed a bit of water over the distress inks to give it even more variation and texture.

I heat embossed the butterfly image with white powder and I love how it pops!  It's a fun image to work with.  Sympathy cards aren't always fun to make, but I find that if I have them on hand it's easier than making them when I actually need one.

And with that, I hope you Have a Happy!

You May Say I'm A Dreamer

...but I'm not the only one.  I love that line.  I'm not even a huge Beatles fan (for shame, I know!), but I do love that line.  It has a distinct beauty to it.  And it is one of the stamps in the newest release from Sheena Douglas for Crafter's Comanion.  It is joined by some GORGEOUS butterflies AND we have two floral sets releasing today, as well!  I, of course, gravitated toward the butterflies because I have a butterfly stamp problem.  I love them.  Super lots.  LOL!

You Say I'm a Dreamer

I combined these beautiful stamps with Basic Grey's gorgeous Spice Market 6x6 papers.  I love these papers so much!  I colored the butterfly with the following Spectrum Noir pen colors:  IG5, IG6, IG8, GB5, CT2, CT3, OR2, OR3.

You May Say I'm a Dreamer (detail)

Can I tell you a secret?  I really love this card. I don't know what it is about it, but it just makes me feel good and that, my friends, is a good thing. I hope it does the same for you. Be sure to check out the Crafter's Companion Facebook Page for more inspiration using the new sets!

Have a Happy!

OH!  P.S.  My JustJingle Facebook page is climbing VERY CLOSE to 1200 likes!  I would love to get there!  I will be giving away a fabulous prize once we hit 1200, so head on over and like it and then share the page with your friends!

Today, many of us who have been involved with Skipping Stones Design over the past few years as designers, sketch artists, and friends are showing off some cards using our favorite sets as a simple Thank You to Heather for all she has done.  Skipping Stones is taking a hiatus from releasing new sets, but many favorites will remain available in the store, so don't fret too much!  Heather has been designing GORGEOUS stamps and we love those SO much, but even more than that, we love Heather!  She is a friend and she is fabulous!  Heather, thank you for all you have done with SSD!  You rock!  Skipping Stones was one of my first Design Teams - you made me believe that I could do this!  And for that, I will be forever grateful!  Thank you!

I love the gorgeous Breathtaking Butterflies set. And this sentiment certainly seemed apropos for the occasion.
