I'll Never Forget Your Kindness

I had a thank you card to create and the Paper Smooches December challenge was exactly the inspiration I needed to get started! The challenge this month is FLOWERS and I had this AWESOME Paper Smooches Single Rose die. I love this die and I've had it in my stash for quite some time and hadn't had the chance to use it, so I jumped on this one!

I'll Never Forget by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #PaperSmooches #Cards

I die cut the rose several times from black cardstock and adhered the cuts randomly on a white panel. I love that this is an outline die! It made for a seriously awesome black and white background. I then used a sentiment from the Spreading Sunshine Clear Stamp Set, embossed in pink on vellum, for the focal point of my card.

A bit of gold thread behind the sentiment adds just a pop of texture and interest for this fun design. I had a certain recipient in mind for this card, so I hope she loves it!

Thanks to the Paper Smooches challenge for the inspiration to use my new flower die on this card!

Just a Quick Thank You

I will be honest.  I haven't yet decided if I like this card or not.  I don't hate it.  Not so sure I love it, either.  Maybe it will just land there...somewhere in the middle.  LOL!  That happens sometimes, right?   Right.  K.  One thing I CAN say for this one is that it is super quick, great for someone who isn't into florals or cute and pretty type stuff all of the time, and it is easy to create, too!

Tread Thank You

The double chevron pattern is from the Camden Town Male 2 set from Crafter's Companion.  Umm... in case you haven't noticed, I am a BIG fan of these Camden sets!!!  Love them!  I love how this is intended to be tire tread, but it can so be used as a simple pattern, too!  LOVE that!  The sentiment is a sticker!  WHAT?!  Yup.  That easy, my friends.  That.  Easy.

Thank You (detail)

I used a touch of glitter paper at the top for a bit of sparkle.  Sparkle is good.  For reals, folks.  For reals.

Be sure to head on over to the Crafter's Companion Facebook page for lots of inspiration!  Let them know that Jingle sent you!

Have a Happy!

Baby Got Background

Yup.  That's my post title for the day.  Yup.  It's awesome.  Obviously today is going to be awesome because of it.  For reals, though.

That title, however, is not JUST for being awesome, it is to tell you about the brand new Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp!  We are challenging you to create your own backgrounds this week!  No patterned papers - you can use plates, stencils, stamps, or whatever you'd like to create your own background!  The design team is showcasing stencils and Gelli plates this week, so you are going to have some AWESOME inspiration!  I decided to play with a stencil and some embossing pastes!  DUDE!!!  It was messy.  I don't usually do messy, but I had a BLAST with this one!!!

Merry & Bright

I used both the black and the pearlescent embossing pastes from Dreamweaver.  I started with one, allowed it to dry, shifted my stencil (after cleaning it, of course) and then did the second color.  Seriously, you guys.  WAY FUN STUFF!!!

Merry & Bright (detail)

SO... here's the deal.  Create a NEW project with a background created by YOU and link it up to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog!  Be sure to include a link back to the challenge in your post.  You can enter up to FIVE times.  Please turn off your word verification so I don't have to punch your blog in the face.  Hmmm....  other than that, HAVE FUN!!!!

One lucky participant is going to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  DUDE!  That's flippin' amazing!  So join in.  What do you have to lose?!

You Are Special

Speech Bubbles. They are really rather amazingly fun little things. I must admit to being a little on the super-way-over-excited side when I saw that The Stamps of Life was releasing a perfectly sized and shaped set of Talk Bubble Dies to coordinate with the talk4phone stamp set! I LOVE them!!!

You Are Special

I kept the color scheme on this one basic in black and white. Why? Well, because I happen to rather like black and white AND I think it works brilliantly with the simplicity of the design I used here, as well. I die cut several of the bubbles and adhered them all over my white card base. On the one bubble in the corner, I stamped and embossed my sentiment to be sure it would really stand out. I kind of love it. Lots. For reals, folks.

You are Special (detail)

Seriously, though... you should totally check out these awesome stamps and dies! It's definitely a set you NEED in your life. Just sayin'.

And with that, my friends, I wish you the best of weekends! I hope it rocks!

Have a Happy!

I Couldn't Be Happier

I am excited to be up over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today!  I have a pretty little card to share with you.  One that simply allows you to celebrate with someone special!  Those are the best kind sometimes, I think!

I Couldn't Be Happier

I pulled out the Beanstalks set and the Frankly set for this elegant design.  I kept it classic in black, grey, and white with just a touch of sparkle.  I LOVE glitter tape!!!!

Couldn't Be Happier (detial)

Check out the supplies I used for this card in the links below.

Skipping Stones Design - A Thank You {Giveaway}

***This is my second post of the day! Be sure to check out my sneak peek below!***

Today, many of us who have been involved with Skipping Stones Design over the past few years as designers, sketch artists, and friends are showing off some cards using our favorite sets as a simple Thank You to Heather for all she has done.  Skipping Stones is taking a hiatus from releasing new sets, but many favorites will remain available in the store, so don't fret too much!  Heather has been designing GORGEOUS stamps and we love those SO much, but even more than that, we love Heather!  She is a friend and she is fabulous!  Heather, thank you for all you have done with SSD!  You rock!  Skipping Stones was one of my first Design Teams - you made me believe that I could do this!  And for that, I will be forever grateful!  Thank you!

Life

I love the gorgeous Breathtaking Butterflies set. And this sentiment certainly seemed apropos for the occasion.

Life (detail)

So, with that, I say thank you, Heather. You rock! Just sayin'.
