Black Dogs are the GREATEST!

Did you know that black dogs end up in shelters longer than any other color dog? For some reason adopters shy away from black pups. Personally, I think that is ridiculous because black dogs (labs, in particular) are WONDERFUL! I have my super great buddy, Wyatt (along with my chocolate lab, Morgan), and he is a great big ball of love. He's also a 100 lb. lap dog, but, alas....

The Newton's Nook and Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration stamp set had this absolutely perfect little Turkey Day pup and I could not resist using him to create a fun Thanksgiving card! I colored him, black of course, with Copic markers and simply stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.

The background is Simon Says Stamp Fractured stamped in grey ink. Nice and simple. While this particular Thanksgiving stamp set is no longer available as it was a limited edition for Stamptember, don't you worry your little puppy loving head... you can check out the Newton's Nook collection at Simon Says Stamp and find ALL KINDS of cute critter stamps that you will just love!

Since this is such a simple card, I only took the one shot. Also... Wyatt was literally hunting me down because I got caught steeling treats for the photo. So... I will share a photo of Mr. Wyatt, since he inspired my card! YAY!

Coffee = Smiles

That's how math works, right? I mean, it must be. Because we all know it's true. Coffee = Smiles. And today is the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and THAT makes me smile, too! Because basically a whole bunch of talented crafty folks come together and post super fun projects showing off yummy beverages. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa... they all apply. And I am HERE for it, man!

If this is your first visit, WELCOME! I'm Jingle and you can find me on Instagram, too

You guys! I even pulled out my Dunkin Donuts scrunchy for this one. Because of course I have a Dunkin Donuts scrunchy. Do you not?

I created this card with a wonderful amalgam of products from different places. That wonderful coffee cup is from the one and only Erin Lee Creative. I don't know if her coffee stamp set is available anymore, but her Harry Potter stuff CERTAINLY is, so you should just go buy that now because it's freaking amazing. The little mouse is an undeniably adorable stamp from the Simon Says Stamp and Colorado Craft Company Stamptember exclusive. Ummm.... CUTENESS! You can find all kinds of sets with these cute mice designed by Anita Jeram. They are incredibly adorable. And that sentiment. That wicked cute freaking sentiment? Yeah, that one is a wood block stamp from Simon Says Stamp so not only does it look adorable on a card, but it looks wicked cute on my shelf, too! I die cut the tiny heart from the Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts die set - this is a super useful set to have around. I highly recommend it.

I colored this one with Copics. Shadows and I aren't actually really good friends because, well, quite frankly, I have very poor spacial orientation and struggle with the entire concept of 'where is my light source', but I think this one turned out pretty cute. All in all, I had a super fun time creating this card! Now, head on over to the Coffe Loving Cardmakers Blog to check out all of the amazing creations out there!

TOADally Awesome

So, as it turns out, frogs are cute. Well, some frogs anyway. Particularly the adorable frogs in the Toadally Unfrogettable stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I mean... JUST LOOK AT HIM!

He is colored with Copics and, well, he's just pretty much the cutest thing EVER! Nice and simple design for this one, but I feel like that image and the fun sentiment did all the work for me, so... simple it is!

I hope you have a hopping good Monday! Hee-hee.... see what I did there... cuz frogs.... cuz....

okay. I'll go now.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and Imagine Crafts Blog Hop!

Hello, all! Today the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps design team and the Imagine Crafts design team are coming together for a super fun blog hop with LOTS of inspiration for you! If you came from Monica Edwards' blog, you are already on the right track! If not, you may want to hope on back to the Imagine Crafts blog to start from the top of the list!

Hugs by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle

I pulled together some fabulous stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and some of my favorite inks from Imagine Crafts to create this fun card! I stamped the Tin Roof background diagonally on the corners of my panel with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics. I then stamped the sentiment from the MWAH! stamp set with Cardinal VersaColor pigment ink and clear embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. Because I was able to stamp the sentiment in a bold color and emboss it for extra dimension, I was able to stamp it over the pattern without it getting lost.

Created with #RelightApp

Be sure to leave a comment on my blog, along with the others along the way! CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is giving away a fabulous Gift Certificate and Imagine Crafts is offering a wonderful prize, too! YAY!!!

Your next stop on the hop is Teresa Abajo! Happy Hopping!

Just a Little Note

Hello, friends! I have a brand new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps card to share with you using the new Pretty Posies stamp set! I am IN LOVE with these stamps and dies! In. Love. I tell ya.

Untitled

I colored the flowers with Copics and then die cut them. I adhered them to my card and trimmed the edges for a fun border look. Shhh... don't tell anyone, but I only used two flowers total - time saving AND awesome looking! WHAT?! Totes. For reals.

Untitled

I used a bit of adhesive on the base of the leaves so I could curl up the tips a bit. I love how that adds a natural, finished look to them!

These stamps are currently out of stock, but check out the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for info on how to secure yours now!

Also, don't forget that you can save 15% off your CAS-ual Fridays Stamps order using code JINGLE2016. That is one heck of a good deal, ya'll!

Here is my confession: I accidentally used a stamp that was discontinued. And here is the good news: The discontinued one is the giraffe and NOT that amazeballs sentiment. And that is the good news because, YOU GUYS! That SENTIMENT! You need it. For reals. It's hilarious. It would be great paired with some of the images of friends in the Art Impressions line. Seriously. LOVE IT!

A Primary Rotation

It's a chilly Monday morning and it looks like we may be getting one heck of a blizzard tonight and tomorrow! That means extra time at home and THAT means extra crafting time! (This is me attempting to see the bright side of over two feet of snow coming this way. *sigh* LOL!) Today I have another fun card for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash to share with you. This one was challenging, but turned into something I really enjoyed working through! I was inspired by the In Rotation challenge.

Primary Hello

Let me begin by saying that this card is not perfect. And I debated sharing it. BUT... you know what? I'm proud of it anyway, so I AM sharing it. Because it's kind of cool, you guys! For reals, though! Instead of basing my rotation on the center of the card I actually used the giant chevron from the Winnie & Walter V is for Chevron set to create a rotation in each quadrant of the card. I then colored them with THREE Spectrum Noir pens. Just three. I allowed the coloring to overlap to create new colors. LOVE!!!

Primary Hello Process

As you can see, the coloring was SUPER bright and bold. Which was awesome, but also a bit strong. I layered a sheet of vellum over it and then die cut the Hello cutaway several times to create the sentiment over the vellum. It's simple, but I like it. I tried several things without the vellum and the background was just too strong. I haven't decided if I am glad I went with it or not yet. HA!

Primary Hello (detail)

That design, though, you guys. That's why I shared it, despite the imperfection. That design is just plain COOL! And it was fairly simple to do... just a hollow chevron stamp. And a few pencil guidelines. LOL! Don't forget to try fun new things with your stamps! Pretty awesome stuff can come from it!

Have a Happy!

Paper Piecing Really is Fun

I have a secret. I really love fussy cutting. No... for reals, though. I mean, I am ALL about the dies. (Go ahead...take a moment to turn 'All About the Bass' into All About the Dies in your head...I'll grant you that moment....   Done? K. Good. Fussy cutting....), but sometimes it is just plain FUN to do some good old fashioned machine-free fussy cutting. And that, my friends, is what I had in mind when I created this card.

Hello Neighbor

I used the amazing sThis Awesome House stamp set from Winnie and Walter along with a bunch of different Crate Paper papers to bring this all together. I love how the patterns all come together and create this adorable little house! I also made sure to keep the colors neutral so this card could easily be used for anyone!

Hello Neighbor (detail)

I placed bits of vellum behind each of the window panes to give them a more glass like look and to prevent the house pattern from showing through. I also used a gold Wink of Stella to add some gold in some areas and Copics to add the grey toned stones. The background was created by first layering the patterned papers and then cutting them with the Spellbinders Pierced Rectangle dies to get that great pierced and embossed border. I love how that finishes it off so fabulously and gives definition to the patterned paper edges.

And that's all for today, folks!

Have a Happy!
