Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

After all, it IS the BEST time of the year!  *wink* *wink*  I have a super fun new card for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps today!  I really love the Funky Round Fri-Dies and decided to pull those out along with a sheet of wood veneer to create a fun tag for my card!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

I cut the large tag and the center circle and then used my Spectrum Noir pens to color the outside frame before piecing them back together.  I stamped with StazOn ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noirs.  That adorable little green bow is from American Crafts.  I LOVE IT!  SO CUTE!!!

You could totally do these as just gift tags or even turn them into super cute ornaments!  Whoa!  (Yup.  Totally said that in my best ever Joey Lawrence voice.  Out loud.  While typing this post.  For reals.  Just keepin' it real, folks.  'Cause that's how I roll!)

Head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for LOTS of inspiration!!!  And to buy awesome stamps.  Just sayin'.

Have a Happy!!!

Holiday Greetings!

I am absolutely LOVING my December Simon Says Stamp card kit!  I made this card just for fun and I absolutely love it!  I combined the card kit with the super cute Layered Tree dies and stamps for this fun holiday card!  I just love making Christmas cards!  I really and truly do!!!

Holiday Greetings

I used papers from the kit, including that awesome woodgrain cardstock!  I LOVE that stuff!!!  For reals, you guys.  For.  Reals.  I used just a little bit of wood veneer for the tree trunk.  I just though it was a fun way to fancy up the tree a bit.  My Wink of Stella did all of the work to add glisten and shine!  YAY!

And that's all for today!  You can find the links to the fun stuff I used for this card below!

White Woodgrain with a Touch of Navy and Mint? Yes, please!

Hello, friends!  Happy Monday!  So... my Simon Says Stamp January card kit arrived last week and I couldn't WAIT to play with that goodness, let me tell you!  I instantly fell in love with the STUNNING woodgrain cardstock.  This stuff is GORGEOUS!  I decided it was instantly necessary to create a card that really let it shine, so I turned to the most recent challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays - the Thank You challenge.

Thank You

To create my card I began with a really pretty heavy weight navy cardstock (Night Mist)as the base. I then added the beautiful woodgrain cardstock, with one corner rounded, as the background layer. A adhered one of the kraft circle stickers from the kit and then stamped a little button from the Very Special stamp set, cut it out, and adhered it with foam tape. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set, Heyday Sentiments.

Thank You (detail)

I love how the woodgrain paper just shines on this card! And the colors... I am really liking the navy and mint combo with the bright white! That's pretty fabulous! Just sayin'. You should probably try those colors. You will like them. I promise.

I hope you had a stupendous weekend! Don't forget to head on over to Fresh Squeezed Stamps to check out the new releases each day this week AND enter to win the new sets! For REALS!!!

Jingle Out.

Simon Says Give Thanks!

Tee-Hee...that sort of sounds like Simon is ordering you to be thankful.  I don't think you need an order.  I think you already are!  And THAT, my friends, is why this week's challenge should be a piece of cake!  (Or, perhaps a piece of pumpkin pie, as it is.  LOL!)

This week we are creating Thanksgiving and Thank You cards over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! It's that time of year and a great time to make some really great thank you cards! I decided to play with some super pretty papers and fun embellishments for my card today!

Forever Thankful

I used the beautiful Authentique Carefree 6x6 pad for this card. I just love the gorgeous papers! A few brads and pearls from Eyelet Outlet made the perfect embellishments, too!

Forever Thankful (detail)

As per usual, the fabulous folks over at Simon Says Stamp are offering one lucky participant a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!!! YAY!

To enter, simply create a Thanksgiving card, or, if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, create a Thank You card and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog by Wed. 21 Nov, 9am Eastern Time!
