Warning: Christmas Card Overload is On The Way

It's true. You will be seeing a LOT of Christmas cards around here this month. The simple fact is, I need to make them FOR people and I need blog content and I have limited time to play, therefore, you get to see ALL OF THE CHRISTMAS CARDS! You are cool with that, right? Right. Good. 'Cause it's TOTALLY happening.

Happy Holidays

I've had this Simple Stories DIY Christmas paper pad hanging about for a bit now and I hadn't cracked it open yet, so I decided I needed to fix that problem! I pulled out some fun dies and these fun holly shaped Doodlebug Sprinkles to create this layered bit of insanity. HA! It's no really insane...it just has a lot of layers and actually required me to think about the final design before adhering stuff and, well, quite frankly, that's not something I often do. I just start tossing bits and bobs together until a finished card appears. HA! No, for reals, though.... that is basically my process, so pre-planning....that's kind of HUGE for me.

Happy Holidays

So, let's chat about these dies for a minute. I used three different dies and layered them to get this cool looking ornament. I started with a basic circle die in white. I then stuck the enamel shapes down and layered the Holly Wreath over the circle. The white on white adds dimension and texture without making it too busy. Finally, I cut the Happy Holidays from black cardstock and layered it over the wreath. I love how the colors on this card worked out. They just make me happy. And there is just SO much dimension!!! LOVE it! I cut the silver ornament topper from DCWV glitter paper and then added a bit of May Arts silver string to finish it off. This card actually came together very quickly and it so doesn't look that way! It was really a fun one to create!

That, my friends, is what I have for you today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Have a Happy!

Go Your Own Way

Yes, that's right, folks! It's time for a brand new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! This week we are ALL over the place! No, for reals, though... the theme is TRANSPORT IT! Yup. Planes, trains, and automobiles, my friends! If it transports stuff, we like it! The design team is using Simple Stories products this week. You don't have to use them to participate, but if you have some we would love to see how you rock them!

I decided to go with lots of fun stickers for my card! This one was super easy to pull together and it's a fun one! The sentiment is stamped with the Be My Guest alphabet stamp set from Waffle Flower Crafts. I LOVE that font so much!

I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the card windows to add sparkle, which, unfortunately, does not show in the photos at all, but just trust me on this one. It's sparkly and cute. I promise. *wink* *wink*

Now it's YOUR turn! One lucky challenge participant is going to win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! DUDE! You know you want that to be you and you can't win it if you aren't IN IT! So... get on that and stuff.

Have a Happy, folks!

Jingle Out.

(Yeah, apparently I'm bringing that back. At least for today.)

Hello, Buddy!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Hello, BUDDY! Yup. YOU! It's good to see you! So glad you stopped by. Would you like a cupcake?! Some tea? K. DUDE. That would rock. We should do that sometime, for reals, though. For. Reals. ANYWAY.... We have a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for you and it's probably your favorite one!!! It's ANYTHING GOES week! Woot! Woot! The Design Team is featuring both CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and Technique Tuesday products, so, naturally, I decided to use BOTH. Because I'm a fan. Of both. Winter Schminter!

That is all I can even say.  There is another storm coming on today.  Ugh.  #winterschminter #mugoftheday

Yup!  That's what's on my tea mug today and that, my friends, is exactly my current sentiment.  We have another storm coming in today.  I'm less than pleased to say the least.  HA!  Seriously, though, you guys, I am so totally done with this whole snow and cold thing.  I have heard rumors buzzing that it may get up into the high 40's later this week.  I am way more excited about that than any normal person should be.  For reals, though.

So... in that rebellion, I have a summer time card to share with you today using some fun stamps from Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

Surf and Sand

I used some great papers from Simple Stories for this one, along with some burlap string from May Arts.  I love the beach.  I miss the beach.  I am SO READY FOR THE BEACH, people!  Anyone with me?  Let's go.  Like, nowish?  K.  K.  I'll grab my suit.

And with this, I wish you a warm day!  Weather that warmth be from a good cup of tea, a yummy pot pie, or the sun shining on you from above, I wish you warm!

Have a Happy!
