A Card and an Introduction

I have some exciting news to share! LOOK!



This is Morgan! She is the newest member of our family. She is ten weeks old and a bundle of sheer puppy joy! And exhaustion. Joy and exhaustion. LOL! So far she loves boxes, her stuffie, and is absolutely fascinated by the world around her. It is a lot of fun to watch her discover and learn.

I also wanted to share another super fun card I created with the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. I love this one. It's a bit of a more rustic style than I normally do, but I just love the elements and how they came together!



I did cheat just a bit and used another Simon Says Stamp die with my kit contents, but shhh! Don't tell. *wink*



I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend if you are here in the United States, and a wonderful non-holiday weekend if you are somewhere where there wasn't a holiday. HA!

Enjoying the Journey

Yup. It's important. Enjoying the journey. Each day is a part of it and, in a way, a journey in itself. I honestly think it is so important to not be constantly waiting for Friday, waiting for our favorite season, waiting for vacation... waiting...waiting...waiting. Nope. Stop waiting. Enjoy THIS moment. Breath it in. Be.

Here... Smile. No, like, for reals, do it. Right now. Now laugh. Even if it's fake, just laugh. Even fake laughter actually makes the body feel better, happier, and more alive! And the best part is...then it can turn into REAL laughter and be even MORE fabulous! 

Enjoy. The journey.

You're My Lobster!

Yup!  That's right!  It's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!  And today is one of my FAVORITES!  This week we want to see your CAS creations!  Yup.  My favorite, dude.  What is CAS, you ask?  Clean And Simple!!!  Just the way I like it!  The Design Team is showcasing Kelly Purkey products this week, so if you have any, we'd love to see them, but you don't have to use them, as long as your project is CAS!



I tried to go even a little more CAS than usual to step up to the challenge this week!  I LOVE this lobster stamp, so I was excited to create this fun card.



I colored the stars with my new Wink of Stella clear glitter brush.  I am in love with that thing!!!!

Hiya by the Sea!

I love summer.  I really and truly LOVE summer.  I love the hot weather, I love the beach, I love the long days... I just LOVE SUMMER!  I have been particularly enjoying THIS summer.  The Hubbums and I have spent some extra time together, we've been doing some super fun things together, and pretty much that just makes me a happy girl!  YAY!  I recently made this card for a Paper Crafts call, and while it didn't get in, I still kinda love it.  It's outside my usual style, but I just let the inspiration carry me and this is where it landed!  Love it when that happens!



I carved a wine cork to create the star that I used to stamp the background and I used Momento Luxe inks for that to get a really nice, creamy impression.  I love that ink!  I added some fun embellishments and a cutout from Authentique's Fresh collection.  It's so whimsical and fun!  I just love it!  I also added a touch of Bossy Joscie map flair.  YAY!



This was a super fun card to make and it reminds me of just how wonderful summer by the sea can be!  I love it!  I hope you have a spectacular start to your week!
