A Card and an Introduction

I have some exciting news to share! LOOK!

Morgan #dogs #chocolatelabs #rescue #justjingle #puppies

This is Morgan! She is the newest member of our family. She is ten weeks old and a bundle of sheer puppy joy! And exhaustion. Joy and exhaustion. LOL! So far she loves boxes, her stuffie, and is absolutely fascinated by the world around her. It is a lot of fun to watch her discover and learn.

I also wanted to share another super fun card I created with the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. I love this one. It's a bit of a more rustic style than I normally do, but I just love the elements and how they came together!

I did cheat just a bit and used another Simon Says Stamp die with my kit contents, but shhh! Don't tell. *wink*

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend if you are here in the United States, and a wonderful non-holiday weekend if you are somewhere where there wasn't a holiday. HA!

Have a Happy!

Happy Independence Day!

Wishing you and your family a very happy Independence Day! I have a quick card to share with you using the fabulous July Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp!

Three Ships by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #simonsaysstamp #cards

I love the sailboat die that comes in this kit! I combined it with some of the stamps (that border... SO useful!), and the beautiful patterned papers for this design.

Just A Little Boat

Yup. Just a little boat. A little adorable boat. A little adorable boat in red, white, and blue. That is what I have for you today. This adorable little boat in red, white, and blue comes from the super adorable Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. That you need. No, for reals, though. It's awesome. And I super duper love these stamps! LOTS!

Thanks by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #cards #patriotic

To create this fun little design, I stamped the boat and colored it with Spectrum Noir pens. I stamped the water on a scrap piece of cardstock and then colored that with Copics before fussy cutting the waves with my Fiskars MicroTip Scissors. I adhered the waves with foam tape to add just a bit of dimension. YAY!

It's going to be a busy week around here! Lots of fun stuff happening! I wanted to announce the winner of the CanvasPop! Giveaway for those waiting on that fun announcement! The winner is... Taylor! Congratulations, Taylor! Email me for your code!

A Bit of Summer Brilliance

You have heard me speak of my love for IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink before, so this won't be a surprise to you, but, for reals, you guys...it's so gorgeous! And it is a natural choice for summer projects, particularly those with the bit of extra glimmer to them! LOVE THAT!!! I pulled out some fun summer flag stamps to create today's card tutorial. I hope you like it!

Supplies:
(Find links for all products below.)
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink in Rocket Red and Mediterranean Blue
Red and White Cardstock
May Arts ruffled red gingham ribbon
Sequins (red and blue)
Bossy Joscie sentiment Flair
Hero Arts Hooray Stamp Set

Step 1

Trim a white panel to 3 3/4 x 5" and stamp the polka dot banner several times across the card just about an inch and a half or so from the bottom of the panel.

Step 2

Next, stamp the striped banner in Mediterranean Blue IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink between the red banners. Using a stamp press for this helps to easily see where you are working.

Step 3

Adhere a strip of ruffle ribbon across the bottom line of the banners and then glue on the sequins.

Step 4

Create a card base from cardstock. Trim a red panel to 4 x 5 1/4" and adhere to the card base. Adhere your stamped panel to the card. Affix the flair sentiment and you are done!

Hello

Have a Happy!

Happy Fourth of July!

Yes, I'm a day early, but I do hope you will accept my festive greetings, despite.  K.  Thanks.  'preciate it.

This week, the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is to go PATRIOTIC!  Fun, huh?!  I am from the U.S., so, naturally, I went with red, white, and blue!  The Design Team is playing with products from My Favorite Things this week!  SO MUCH CUTENESS!!!

Happy 4th

I do believe I warned you that there would be anchors involved in yesterday's post!  :)  I can't help it.  I love them!!!  AND...even better... this particular die set from MFT has an anchor AND one of those neat boat steering wheel thingies....is that helm?  I think it's a helm.  I should look that up.  Hold on....

..... K.   So, after some research, it appears it is just called a steering wheel.  Hm.  That's less fun.  BUT...when combined with the rest of the steering mechanism, it is, indeed, a helm, which is much MORE fun, so we will go with that.  YAY!

So, what was I saying?  Oh, yes... the die set... it has the anchor, the HELM, a surfboard AND a seashell!  SO TOTALLY FUN, DUDES!  For reals.  Just sayin'.

Happy 4th (detail)

AND, of course, Heidi is offering one lucky participant a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store for playing along!

So, here's the deal.  Create a NEW project based on the Patriotic theme and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!  You may enter up to five unique projects, but backlinking is not not allowed.  You have until Wednesday at 9am Eastern Time to link up!

YAY!!!  It's Friday!!!  I'm happy about that.  For REALS!  We have a brand new challenge for you over at CAS-ual Fridays this week!  It's all about the Red, White, and Blue this week!

I pulled out some stamps I recently got from The Stamps of Life for this one.  I love this Crayons set so stinking much!  I combined the stamps with three little Kelly Purkey sequins from Simon Says Stamp.

hi

Ummm... yup.  Totally LOVING the crayon look of these stamps!  And combined with Ladybug and Bahama blue Momento inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko they look JUST LIKE CRAYON only without the mess.  YAY!  LOVE IT!

Hi (detail)

AND...it just so happens that this week's sponsor is one of my personal favorites, Simon Says Stamp!  One awesome card maker entering this week's challenge will win a $25 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  Woot!
