I am STUCK on You!

So, awhile back, I bought the super awesome Around the House stamp set from Newton's Nook because, well, because it's AWESOME and I totally love it. For reals, though. BUT, alas, it sat there. Sad and uninked. I don't know why, I honestly just hadn't gotten to it yet. Well, due to some super fun challenges, this is the second time you are seeing me use this awesome set TWICE! I used it on the card I posted on Sunday and now you are seeing it again here today on a VERY different card. I love versatility in stamps. I really and truly do.

Stuck on You!

I loved the colors for the Inky Paws Challenge, but none of my Newton's Nook stamps were particularly fall-ish (although, I do super love the new Falling Into Autumn set, so I may have one soon... LOL!) I decided to use the colors on a non-season specific card instead and I absolutely LOVE how it came out! I colored the dispensers with Spectrum Noir markers and kept the design SUPER simple. This one makes me happy. Of course, my ridiculous love of office supplies probably strengthens that bond. For reals, though.

Stuck on You (detail)

If you haven't played with Newton's Nook Stamps yet, you should totally check them out! You can get them directly from the Newton's Nook website or you can find them at Simon Says Stamp, as well! If you'd like to play along with the challenge, there are free digi stamps available so you don't have to buy something to participate!

Today is National Coffee Day! Yes. That exists. Now, before we begin, I have a confession... I'm a tea drinker at heart. Sorry. But it's true. HOWEVER, this past summer I discovered iced coffee and sort of kind of fell in LOVE, soooo... yeah... that happens a couple of times a week now. Amazing in Gold and White with Pastels

Taheerah posted this awesome photo as the inspiration for the Cure For the Monday Blues Challenge and I instantly fell in love with it. Because she kindly extended the deadline, I managed to squeeze a card in for it today! I loved the whites and golds that are dominant in the photo, but the bits of black and pastel colors, like the wall in the background also inspired me. The computer screen made me think to pull out this awesome Newton's Nook Frame stamp and emboss it in gold. The text on the screen led me to search for a mixed font sentiment from WPlus9 and the acrylic chair just SCREAMED shaker to me. So... this is what came from all of that thinking...

DSCN5438

I filled my shaker with some white and tiny clear sequins. I kind of love it. Like, lots. For reals, though. And those Little B flower dies.... LOVE! I added those, as I felt it needed just a *touch* of pink and the floral paper decor in the photo inspired that a bit, as well.

So, there you have it!

Jingle Tags!

I am up over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today with these fun Tags! I used the new Sleigh Bells Stamp set along with the coordinating Bell Tag Fri-Dies. I love how easy it is to cut, stamp, and emboss these tags to create perfect gift additions for the holidays. I left some room on each design to put the name of the gift recipient, as well.

DSCN5419

I sort of love them! Seriously, you guys, this stamp set and die set are so perfect for holiday tag making! I am going to be making a BUNCH of these! LOVE them! You could even write the name where I stamped 'Jingle All The Way' instead of adding a sentiment there if you prefer.

Jingle All the Way Tags

A bit of May Arts sheer ribbon with a lovely gold edge and some gold and natural twine make a pretty topper for each tag and a few Queen and Company bubbles and gem stones add some sparkle without making them crazy. GO! Make some!!!!

You are My S.H.I.E.L.D.

"What Does S.H.I.E.L.D. stand for, Agent Ward?"

"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division."

"And what does that mean to you?"

"It means someone really wanted our initials to spell out 'Shield'."

Yes, folks, the fall television lineup is BACK, and Agents of Shield just so happens to be one of my absolute FAVORITES, so, I thought it would be fun to create a card inspired by the show. 'Cause that's how I roll, my friends. That. Is how I roll.

DSCN3905

To create the SHIELD logo in the background, I sketched it out and then hand cut it. Yup. No machine involved. You could probably easily create a cut file, but sometimes I just like to kick it old school. Plus, when I made this card I didn't actually own a machine that could do that. LOL! The 'you' is a Simon Says Stamp die and then the letters are cut using Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC's dies. I love that alphabet die set! It's a great font and super easy to use! I cut each letter in both black and grey and then layered them so it would have a nice shadow effect that allows the letters to truly stand out.

You are my Shield (detail)

The letters are popped up for dimension, too. I used a bit of Wedding Dress ink around the edges to give the card a bit more depth and interest. I think that finishes it out nicely. This card was SUPER TONS of fun to create!!!

Wanted. Bought. Love. (With GIVEAWAY!)

Today, I am coming to you with a fun installment of "Stuff I LOVE!" Here's the deal, I use a lot of different products. I love some, others, meh. BUT... I really love to SHARE the things I love! So, here are a few things I have been using lately that you simply MUST consider for your stash! I wouldn't lead you astray, folks! I promise!

Simon Says Stamp Teflon Bone Folder Tool

It looks so simple, doesn't it? And yes, I am actually starting out with a bone folder that costs $23.99. And, yes, it is worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY. Seriously, you guys. This thing has great weight to it, it creates smooth, beautiful creases with no shine on the cardstock, it has multiple surfaces so it is great for burnishing, as well as creasing. I love it. For reals. LOVE. IT.

Avery Elle The Everyday Collection 6x6 Paper Pad

So. This paper pad. It's amazeballs. I haven't put it away since it arrived because it is just the very BEST go-to stack of patterns EVER. For reals. The patterns were so specifically designed to work with cards and you can totally tell. I love it. It is not often that I purchase the same paper pad twice, but this one ... I'm gonna need another one. For reals. It's the perfect paper pad. Perfect.

Spellbinders® Pierced Circles, Ovals, and Squares

So, here's the deal. The die for the pierced portion is a totally separate die from the cutting die. GUESS what that means, folks?! That means you can play with or without the pierced part OR you can use ONLY the pierced part. These things became a staple the instant they hit my studio. For reals. I have no idea how I survived without them. LOVE. Lots. For reals, though.

Okay, so I sort of cheated and this isn't just ONE product, but rather an entire grouping of stamp sets, but, for REALS, you guys. I have NEVER reached for the same set so many times as I have with these The Big The Bold sets from Winnie & Walter. The words are fabulous and due to the smaller, extra words, each set is LOADED with potential. And that font...seriously...I can't even get enough of it! I can't!!!! LOVE!

They work wonderfully with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, colored pencils, watercolor, and, well, just stamping in general. The colors are gorgeous. They make me happy. Ridiculously so, actually. Ridiculously so, my friends.

So, while this is hardly everything I love, this does show you a few things that have been making me exceptionally happy in my studio as of late. Why? Because this stuff ROCKS, you guys! And no, I was not asked to share these things, nor was I compensated in any way for this post. My links are affiliate links with Simon Says Stamp, as always, and of course I appreciate you using them if you are shopping with Simon. YAY!

AND...because I have been dealing with a stupid cold, we need to spread some happy, so, I am giving away THREE brand new stamp sets to one lucky Just Jingle reader! They will be three clear stamp sets including at least one set from CAS-ual Fridays, at least one set from Simon Says Stamp, and...who knows what the third will be. And I've been known to toss in an extra goody or two, so ... yeah... that might happen.

To enter:

1. Leave a comment below letting us know which of the above products you are thinking about giving a try!

2. For a second entry Like the Just Jingle Facebook Page and leave a comment there letting us know YOUR favorite studio supply as of late!

Since these are light enough to ship, this giveaway is open world wide. It will close at Midnight Eastern Time Monday 29 September. Feel free to spread the word! :)

JINGLE Bells!

Okay, so the set is ACTUALLY called Sleigh Bells, but we all know that JINGLE bells is what I'm going with here, right? Right. K. Glad we got that cleared up. However, this IS the newest fabulous set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and I am loving it!!!

Soon it Will Be

Okay, so first of all, Silver Bells is my favorite classic Christmas carol of all time. I just love that song! When I saw this sentiment I was so excited! I absolutely LOVE IT! And the bells... yup... stamps WITH coordinating dies! And I love that! LOVE! I created the card base by die cutting a circle with the Spellbinders Pierced Circle dies and then I adhered a sheet of acetate for a clear window.

Soon It Will Be (detail)

I watercolored the bells and then went over them with my Wink of Stella Clear brush to add a BUNCH of happy sparkle! I love it! They just SHIMMER!!!

TAG! You're It!

***This is my second post of the day! Please check out my Pinecone card showcasing the new stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! I kind of love it and want you all to see it. K? K. Thanks. Luvs!***

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Hello, FRIENDS! Today began with sunshine, a pair of Toms on my feet, and an absolutely ridiculously good hair day, so you know what? I am pretty darn sure it is going to be a FANTASTIC day! Let's make it happen! And to add to that fantastic day, we have a fun new challenge for you over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week we are playing TAG! Yup! We want to see tags as your creation, in your creation, on your creation, whatever! Just show us a tag! The design team is playing with Tim Holtz products this week. If you have them we'd love to see you rock them, but if not, that's cool, you don't have to use them to play along!

Create Imperfection Tag

Yup. So you know that happy little CAS box I live in from time to time. Well, I BUSTED that sucker wide open for this challenge! Jumped right on out of the box and went full on mixed media style. I should write a song about it. Psy can sing it. It's gonna be a hit, folks, so get ready for Mixed Media Style: The Song to hit your local radio stations!

DSCN5371

So, you can find the products I used in the links below (or just by browsing the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store), but I want to talk technique for a minute. I used multiple colors of distress inks, applied with the cute little round applicator thingy (yup...totally the technical term) on a standard shipping tag. I then splashed a bit of water on that, which has this neat little reaction and causes those light spots you see. I added some stamped and embossed flowers, then some stamped (and rather messy, mind you) rows of dots before attaching the metal pieces. I also used inks to dye the ribbon and I love that piece so much I think I could hug it. Seriously, though... if you haven't tried to do some of this stuff, it really isn't hard to do... even I managed. HA!

AND... now it's YOUR turn! Create a tag or a project with a tag and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!

And dude, Have a Happy.
