Amazing in Gold and White with Pastels

Taheerah posted this awesome photo as the inspiration for the Cure For the Monday Blues Challenge and I instantly fell in love with it. Because she kindly extended the deadline, I managed to squeeze a card in for it today! I loved the whites and golds that are dominant in the photo, but the bits of black and pastel colors, like the wall in the background also inspired me. The computer screen made me think to pull out this awesome Newton's Nook Frame stamp and emboss it in gold. The text on the screen led me to search for a mixed font sentiment from WPlus9 and the acrylic chair just SCREAMED shaker to me. So... this is what came from all of that thinking...

I filled my shaker with some white and tiny clear sequins. I kind of love it. Like, lots. For reals, though. And those Little B flower dies.... LOVE! I added those, as I felt it needed just a *touch* of pink and the floral paper decor in the photo inspired that a bit, as well.

So, there you have it!

Have a Happy!

I Need More Vellum in My Life

Seriously, though. This small 6x6 sheet of polka dotted embossed vellum came in a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and I may or may not have hoarded it. Until now. And now I need more. Because I love it. And it makes me happy. K? K. Glad I shared that with you. Now... WHY do I love it? LOOK!

Happy Birthday

Ummm... because it helped me make this card and I love this card. Lots. It was so totally inspired by the Runway Inspired Challenge photo. The one below. I LOVE this inspiration photo. So much so, I actually created two cards based on it. I haven't photographed the other one yet, so that will come later, but I HAD to share this one with you! I've had these great flower dies in my stash for some time and I hadn't used them yet, so when I saw the inspiration, I KNEW I had to use them! I love them. Lots. I may or may not be in a rather lovey mood today. At least in terms of paper crafting goodness. Or so it seems.

Seriously, though. Isn't that awesome? Bring that dress up above the knee and I would so love it!!!! (That length sort of makes my legs look like tree trunks, so I avoid it. For reals, though. I have big calves and I cannot lie.)

Happy Birthday (detail)

I love the bright, bold florals combined with the woodgrain. Seriously, though. That's pretty awesome. For reals. Oh...and I used clear foam tape to adhere the vellum, placing it strategically behind the die cut elements. I love that stuff. For reals, though.

Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous day.

Have a Happy!

Thank You

I just want to take a moment to thank you all for your support after my last post. I was overwhelmed by the love and comments coming in. Thank you.

Thank You

This card, well, these cards, actually, were therapy for me. I created them with my sweet Thatcher baby in mind. (Not that much else has been on my mind as of late, buy you know...) I used the adorable puppy from the You Are Pawsome set by Simon Says Stamp along with a pretty sentiment from Winnie and Walter's Big, Bold, You set.

Thank You Cards

The puppy is colored with Spectrum Noir pens. I am not great with blacks/greys yet, but this one had to be a black puppy, so I gave it my best shot. I think it turned out pretty darned cute. I added glossy accents to the nose, naturally. The tape along the edge is from Little B Designs. It is mint and silver and I kind of love that. I picked it up at AC Moore. I hadn't been to an ACM in awhile, and they had a really nice selection of Little B tapes.

That's all for today. I am working on getting back into the daily things. But, again, thank you.
