The design team is featuring Art Impressions products this week. You don't have to use them, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them! They have some pretty fun stuff! Both hilarious and adorable! And if you love to color there are SO many awesome options for you!

Naturally, I chose a puppy stamp set. Naturally. I also decided to challenge myself to a one layer design. I used the Cat and Dog mini Front and Back set for this card. I love that you can add the puppy butt to the inside of the card!!!! I de cut the clouds (Memory Box Puffy Clouds), being sure to only partially cut the one with the puppy in it so his little head would stick up!

Now it's YOUR turn! Create a super fun something or another and link it up for ANYTHING GOES week! One lucky participant will win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp store! WOOT!!!! That's an awesome prize, folks. For reals, though.

Have a Happy!

Wishing You Joy

Wow! So, I apologize for the few days I took off. I was in Phoenix at the Spellbinders Design Team Retreat and it was AMAZEBALLS, you guys. For reals. I can't even BEGIN to tell you just how amazing this trip was! I am so inspired to start creating!!!

I know several of you have been waiting for me to announce some winners! I have two to announce, so let's get right to it!

The winner of the Winnie and Walter $30 Gift Certificate is....  DEEPTI! Congratulations, Deepti! I will pass your name and email address on to Winnie & Walter so they can send you your prize!

The winner of the copy of Gossamer Ghost by Laura Childs is.... Kelly Latevola! Congratulations, Kelly! I will be emailing you for your mailing address so I can send this out to you!

Whew! That was fun! Now onto another card that was inspired by the Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop.

Wishing You Joy

One lesson focused entirely on one layer cards. This is generally a weakness of mine. While I do CAS, I usually have some layering of some kind on my cards, so I was excited to take this challenge. I loved the partial die cutting that Jennifer showcased, so I went ahead and tried it for this fun card! I used a Spellbinders® circle die along with a great matching stamp and die from Avery Elle to create my window. I inked inside the window and then heat embossed the sentiment.

I used a scalloped circle die from Spellbinders to create a mask to do the inking on the inside of the card. I love how this adds just a touch more style to the inside. I am kind of loving this whole partial die cutting thing, so... I am fairly certain you will be seeing more of it around here. Because it's awesome. For reals, though.

I am just getting all caught up and back into the swing of things, so I am hoping to have a full week of posts for you this week. Thanks for stopping by! And as always...

Have A Happy!!!

Because BUNNIES!

Seriously, though, you guys. The latest Lawn Fawn release has so much cute in it I think it may explode. Yup. It will explode and rainbows will fly about everywhere due to the cuteness that is the new Lawn Fawn release. No, I don't design for them, I just get really excited about unbearable CUTENESS! I was fortunate enough to win some of the goodies from this release and I just got around to playing with them! I was inspired by the Lawnscaping Challenge: One Layer Cards to do something EXTRA simple!

Merry and Bright

Ummm.. BUNNIES!!!! Oh. EMM. Gee. They are so stinking adorable, I can hardly STAND IT! They worked perfectly for a simple, easy to mail card! I stamped the bunnies, the tree, and the sentiment and then colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I. just. love. I added a touch of  paper from the Snow Day 6x6 paper pad.

I did add a tad bit of sparkle with my Wink of Stella on the little garland on the tree. Sparkle makes me happy. For reals, though.

ALSO... I wanted to let you guys know that I have a few more de-stash mystery boxes ready to ship. They are Medium Flat Rate USPS Priority boxes that I can ship to US addresses only. I am asking $45 SHIPPED for these boxes. (That is around $30 for the product! WHAT?!) They are SUPER stuffed and include both new and gently used stamp sets (over ten in each box), patterned paper, embellishments, ribbon/twine, some even include dies, inks, and more! Please email me if you are interested in purchasing one of these boxes!

Have a Happy!

Hot Dogs! Hot Dogs! Get Yer Hot Dogs Heya!

There you go. A tiny piece of Fenway Park right there in my blog post title. HA! For Father's Day we went to my parents house and had a simple cookout. Since I may or may not have waited until that morning to make a card for my dear sweet Daddy, I decided to make a card to suit the day! AND...Paper Smooches Sparks just so happened to post an Anything Goes Challenge, so I pulled out some Paper Smooches stamps and had a bit of fun on this one layer card.

Happy Father's Day

I didn't have a PS sentiment that was working for me, so I pulled this one from a Kelly Purkey set, but I LOVE how cute those hot dogs and that burger from the Alfresco set are!!!! LOVE, dude. Totes. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I used mostly solid colors instead of doing the more common blending and such except for on the bread. That needed a couple of colors to make it look right, but other than that I love how simplicity totally wins with this card! It makes me smile.

Happy Father's Day (detail)

So, basically, this card just makes me happy. And it makes me want a burger. Burgers are happy.

I hope you have a pretty darned fantastic day. You can find the products I used on my card in the links below.

Have a Happy!

You Are the Best!

Yup.  YOU!  All of my readers.  You are the BEST!  And... we have a brand new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for you today! WHY?  Because we love to inspire you and to offer you a chance to win a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  Woot!

This week, our challenge is all about GIRLS!  We want to see you create a Mother's Day or Special Girl project and link it up!  Mother's Day is at the end of this month in the UK and, well, here in the US and Canada, I am quite sure Mom's wouldn't mind an extra card in the mail!  Or, perhaps you have a sister, grandmother, or close friend who could use a bit of happy!  Let's make it happen!

You are the Best

I decided to have some fun with some Simon Says Stamp exclusives for my card.  I also decided to work with florals.  And masking.  LOTS of masking.  LOL!  I used the new inks in Cotton Candy, Doll Pink, Mint, and Audrey Blue along with the super pretty Life is a Journey stamp set.  I masked the flowers as I stamped to create a fun layered look.  To stamp the border, which I actually did first, I laid down several of the flower stamps and then stamped the Cotton Candy strip.  I stamped the Doll pink strip, overlapping them, as the cotton candy was light enough to simply overstamp it.  I really like how it looks!

All participants are entered to win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!  Just make sure your creations is NEW and you include a link back to our challenge!  The winner is chosen randomly!  YAY!

Why are you still here?  Go make a girly card for a special girl in your life, dude.  Do it.  Link it.  Make it happen.

Have a Happy!!!
