Love You More

Have you SEEN the most recent embellishment kit from Pinkfresh Studio? You guys, I love this kit so much! I have a post up over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog showcasing TWO cards using this kit. I will show you one here, but you are just gonna have to venture on over there to check out the other one! (I'm mean like that. HA!)

Our Story

I used a patterned paper from the Up in the Clouds collection for the background and then used the rub-ons directly over the pattern for the sentiment. I absolutely LOVE that you can so seamlessly overlap rub-ons to create your own sentiment! For REALS, you guys!

I love all of the texture this brings, too! The canvas tag combined with the shiny gold flair is just so much fun! LOVE THAT!

AND... Pinkfresh Studio is GIVING AWAY a one year subscription to the kit! WHAT?! Yup! This is an Instagram Giveaway so, yes, you have to have IG in order to enter. Be sure to check out Pinkfresh on Instagram for your chance to win!

This is the current kit. You guys!!! Are you seeing all of that goodness? tons of embellishments, stamps, dies, stencils.... *sigh* It's a very good thing.

Have a Happy!

How About a Little Stencil Action?

I have been playing with stencils a lot lately.  I have to be honest, I was reluctant when they first started coming back into play, but after receiving a few of them, I was HOOKED!  I had NO idea I would love them so much, but they allow you to add pattern and design to your projects in so many different ways using a huge variety of media, and THAT, my friends, makes the a wonderful, versatile tool that happens to also be rather inexpensive in the long run!  LOVE!

Hugs

For this card, I used the mini fish scales stencil from The Crafter's Workshop along with the AMAZING gold color wash from Heidi Swapp!  her color washes are seriously the best.  I don't know why, I have no explanation for you, I just know I struggle with others and I LOVE the Heidi Swapp ones TONS!  To get the look, I secured my stencil over the panel and then sprayed at an angle from the bottom right toward the top left.  I love the ombre look it created!

I stamped the sentiment from the Scripty Sayings set by Paper Smooches in Charcoal ink over the gold.  I then added a shiny gold flair from Bossy Joscie that I accented with a die cut heart covered with glossy accents.

This card was a LOT of fun to create and I really love the way it turned out in the end.  So pretty!  Have you pulled out stencils and given them a shot yet?  If not, you TOTALLY should, dude!  They are fabulous!

Have a Happy!

In a Word

This week we are examining the coming year over at CAS-ual Fridays.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for this one.  I had contemplated comitting to a word this year, but hadn't settled on one.  As I was attempting to clean up the post Nov/Dec disaster that was my studio, I came across this flair button on my desk.  There it was.  My inspiration!  The Hubbums' and I have been discussing some things lately and our 'narrative' has come up in the conversation several times.  It is interesting what you can and cannot picture yourself doing based on your narrative.  So, what makes that possible?  Well, changing your narrative!  So this year, I am going to focus on my STORY!  Well, okay, OUR Story, but you know what I mean!  *wink*

My Story

I used some fun new Studio Calico papers, the inspiring Bossy Joscie flair, of course, and the Big Thanks stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays to pull this one together.  I had to add some sparkle because, well, quite frankly, if it's MY story it will most CERTAINLY have sparkle!

So...have you considered a word yet?  Well, come on over and join in the In a Word challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays!

A little bit of Love!

The Hubbums' and my wedding anniversary is tomorrow. Thirteen years. Yikes! I thought that made a pretty darned good excuse to share a lovey card today! (Not that I need an excuse, but, whatevs. HA!) This is a simple little card I created using some awesome Bossy Joscie flair and some great heart dies from Simon Says Stamp!

iLove You

The bottom edge of the card is cut with the curved edge die (I LOVE that thing!!!!!) and then I added a simple outline with my Uniball Signo white pen. (I LOVE that thing, tooooooo!!!!!) I love how simple this card is and yet how playful it is, at the same time! YAY!

iLove You

I hope you and your family had an absolutely delightful Christmas! I was fortunate to receive lots of fun new crafty goodies, so I will be sharing some stuff made with those soon! YAY!!!!

Have a Happy!

A DASH to the New Year!

We have an EXTRA fun week for you over at CAS-ual Fridays! This week we are joining forces with the 10 Minute Craft Dash! The theme is Happy New Year! So...here's the deal... create a Happy New Year card that is CAS so you can link it up to CAS-ual Fridays and IF it takes you less than ten minutes you can link it up to the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge, too! Woot! Woot!

I, always being up for a good challenge, was indeed able to keep my card making under the ten minute mark. Actually, I'm super awesome...I kept it under FIVE! (It's Christmastime, people! Ain't nobody got time for NUFFIN'! LOL!)

Ummm... this card is sparkly. I {heart} sparkly! I used a pretty silvery flair from Bossy Joscie as the dropping ball. YAY!

And...I even have proof of my time. Here is the screenshot of the stopwatch on my phone.

So, I do so hope you join us! This was a wicked fun one for me!

Note? Note? Note?

Any Little Rascals fans out there?  The movie, that is.  If so, you will appreciate that title slightly more than others.  If not, that's O-TAY!  *wink*

Today I have a simple and super fun card that I created using some great patterned paper and some awesome Bossy Joscie flair!

a Note>

Umm... hello.  I love that flair AND that patterned paper sososososo much!!!  For reals, though.  Love it!  And these colors make me happy, too.  LOTS of happy! I'd love to tell you who makes that paper, but I have honestly completely forgotten. It's either from the My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste collection or maybe the Glitz Color Me Happy? Not sure. Buy both, though. HA!!!

AND... that is all I have for you today.  I hope you have an absolutely DELIGHTFUL day!

Have a Happy!

Many Thanks... no... like... for reals...

Happy Monday, folks!  I have MANY THANKS for you today!  No, like, for reals... I used a LOT of fabulous Paper Smooches thank you stamps on this card for my theme project with Imagine Crafts this month!  It was totally fun!

PS Thank You complete

I assembled all of the stamps together on my Fiskars Stamp Press and then stamped them with VersaMark and clear embossed them before inking over the panel.  I love how this turned out!  So fun!  You can see the full tutorial over on the Imagine Crafts blog.
