Hello There!

So, here's the deal. Hello is my One  Little Word for the year. You may recall THIS Hello card that I posted just the other day. My word for the year inspired that card AND that giveaway (which ends today, by the way, so be sure to enter if you haven't already!). I used a super awesome Neat & Tangled stamp for that card. And THEN... the latest Little Tangles challenge came out yesterday with what theme? Oh. Yes. Hello.

Wellllllllll.... I simply HAD to create something for it. I mean, FOR REALS. It's my WORD, yo. But, since I had just used Neat and Tangled stamps for that other one I was a bit torn. I decided to use the same stamp again. Because I like it. Nope. Because I LOVE it.

Hello There by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #Cards #NeatAndTangled

I did. I used the Neat & Tangled Origami Map stamp and the coordinating die for the background of my card. I then used the super cute On the Corner stamp set. I used Distress inks to ink the background, splashed some water drops on there for texture, and used Distress Markers to color my image. I don't use those for coloring often, but they seemed to be what I was looking for this time around. I actually hand lettered the sentiment to get exactly what I wanted and I was surprised by how much I liked the results!

So, there it is! Something a little different with a potentially unlikely stamp combination, but I like it! It's fun!

Have a Happy, folks!

Clean and Simple with Pinkfresh Studio

I am showcasing the March kit over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today! I have two clean and simple cards over there. I actually loved this kit so much, I couldn't stop at two! One of these you will see over there, along with one that you will NOT see here!

Love Beautiful Lovely Amazing You

For this one, I layered the dies (created by Spellbinders for Pinkfresh Studio) over the vellum label to create a new, fresh look. I love how this is so simple, but yet has so much interest.

Green Hi

This super fun card uses the feather puffy stickers. Wait. Let's go over that one more time. FEATHER. PUFFY. STICKERS. You guys, for REALS, I love them so much! I combined them with the green striped alphabet stickers for a super fun and super easy card! LOVE IT!

Be sure to head on over to the Pinkfresh Studio blog to see more!

Have a Happy!

Go and Do

First, let me take a moment to say GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!! Whew! That was a crazy game. And an awesome game. Just awesome!

Okay, now let's chat about the card I am excited to share with you today! I picked up a simple background inking technique from Day 6 of Clean and Simple 4 over at Online Card Classes that I just loved and wanted to try out right away. Tasnim showcased it using one ink color, but I wanted to use a variety to create a unique background, so I pulled out my Hero Arts Soft Vanilla, Simon Says Stamp Slate, and Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue and I got started!

Go and Do

I used a strip of post-it tape to mask as I inked and I just love how these colors worked so beautifully together! I then pulled out the Neat & Tangled Oragami Map stamp and the coordinating die for the focal point. I stamped the map on vellum and heat embossed and then die cut the entire thing and adhered it with Kool Tac Clear Foam Tape so the adhesive would raise the map, but not be visible. I seriously love that stuff, you guys. For reals.

Go and Do (detail)

I trimmed a strip of cardstock the length of the card and heat embossed the sentiment on it before adhering it to the card. A few sequins finish it off with just a bit of sparkle.

You guys, I can't even pretend that I don't love this card. Because I do. Lots. For reals, though.

That's all for today! We are getting another foot of snow today, so... yeah. *sigh* HA! BUT, at least the PATRIOTS WON!!!!! YAY!!!!!

Have a Happy!

Gold Foxes and Such

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

We have a fun new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! This week we are making it SPARKLE! Because... GLITTER! Okay, so you don't HAVE to use glitter, but you do need to make your project sparkle in SOME way and as far as I can tell, there is pretty much no reason to NOT use glitter. I mean, really, folks. It's glitter. LOVE! Anyway, the design team is featuring Neat and Tangled and Jane's Doodles stamps this week. You don't have to use them, but if you have them we would love to see you rock 'em!

Foxy Thank You

Soooo... remember that part where you were saying how much you hated glitter because of the mess? (Okay, so I totally know only a few of you were saying that, but run with me on this one, K? K. Thanks. I appreciate your support. I really do.) Welllll.... it just so happens that this beauty is done with precisely ZERO loose glitter and precisely LOTS of sparkly goodness! Glitter paper, folks. That's right, my friends, glitter paper. Specifically, an absolutely GORGEOUS new die from Spellbinders called Foxy cut from DCWV Glitzy Glitter paper. Why, yes, yes, folks, I am in love. Thanks for noticing my glow.

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Hiya! I have a quick one for you today, but it is stuffed with silver linings! No, like, literally...it's a cloud... with a silver lining.

DSCN4998

I used the super cute new Clouds set by Miriam Prantner for Neat and Tangled. I kind of love this set. It is super stinking cute! I combine the stamps with some great papers from the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine Paper Pad and a great Postage Stamp Frame dies from Simon Says Stamp. I used a silver pen to add the outline or, lining, if you will. I kind of love it.

And there you have it! I should probably add some pun about silver linings or something witty, but, what can I tell ya, folks? I'm plumb out of puns today. It happens. I know. Sad story. Sad. Story. But, alas, I still can provide adorable card-ness, so there is that. I do what I can to please. HAHAHA!

Have a Happy!!!
