Marley and Marley, WhOOOOOO!

Hello, folks!  Happy Monday!  I have another one of my World Card Making Day entries to share with you today.  This one was for the Season's Greetings category.  I absolutely LOVE this card.  Love it!!!  It was a BLAST to create!  I used a photo of the two Muppet characters as a guide to create my design and then hand cut the pieces to get the look I wanted.  SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Marley and Marley

I loved using the textured papers to add to the look of my design.  The chains are jewelry chains that come on a large spool.  I picked them up at Michael's and they turned out to be so perfect for this one!  LOVE!!!

So, there you have it!  And, just like my fox card, I am calling it a non-winning WCMD entry rather than a reject because, DUDE... this is WAY too awesome to be a reject!  For reals!!!  I love it.  I made it.  It makes me happy and I know it will make someone else happy, too!  YAY!!!

Have a Happy!

Oh...and just in case you need a point of reference... let me introduce you to AWESOME!

Ribbon Carousel Holiday Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

Hello, folks!  Today I am participating in the super fun Ribbon Carousel Holiday Blog Hop!  We are all sharing photos of our carousels AND there is a chance for you to WIN a Ribbon Carousel of your own!  I LOVE mine!!!!  I actually have two... an older one that I was given and a brand new one that I just loaded up with my twine spools!

Ribbon Carousels

I love how easy it is to see all of my ribbon and twine on the carousels and that they look so PRETTY!!!!  Also, it keeps the spools well organized in a small space, which is always a good thing!

Would you like to win your very own Ribbon Carousel? Here is what you need to do:

Visit the Designer’s blogs that are participating in each day of the blog hop and comment on their posts as you go. One of the Crewmate’s Holiday blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Crewmate’s Holiday Blog Hop post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more Crewmate Blogs you comment on, the
better your chances are of winning your very own Ribbon Carousel! The Blog Hop will be open
until 11:59 PM Eastern Time Monday, November 25th with the winners being announced Tuesday
morning on the Ribbon Carousel Blog.

Already have a Ribbon Carousel? Share a photo of YOUR Ribbon Carousel on our FaceBook
page OR email it to info@ribboncarousel.com, and we'll share it for you! You'll be in special
drawing for your choice of a Ribbon Carousel or 4 packages of spools!

Be sure to head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog to see the full hop list for your chance to WIN!!!

Crazy Eights

Hello, folks! The all new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge starts today and it's all about EIGHT! Yup! Thanksgiving has eight letters in, as does Hanukkah and Hanukkah has eight nights, too, so, well, it's just a time for CRAZY EIGHTS! Simlply create using EIGHT of something. It can be 8 letters, 8 of a specific embellishment, 8 colors, 8 of ANYTHING! Be creative and have fun with it!

I chose 8 each of some different wood shapes to create a pretty Hanukkah card.

Happy Hanukkah

Yup! Eight triangles, eight diamonds, and eight gold circles. I love how this card turned out. It's just so pretty!

What Does The Fox Say?

So, Paper Crafts Magazine recently had it's World Card Making Day contest and the winners have been announced.  Unfortunately, none of them were me.  HA! (No, but seriously, I'm TOTALLY cool with that.)  BUT... I really loved the few cards that I had sent in for that super fun contest, so I am going to share my cards with you guys!  YAY!!!  Today I am showing you the card I submitted to the 'Love' category.  Admittedly, it doesn't SCREAM love, but I HAD to do it, so it happened.  LOL!

What Does the Fox Say?

I used some great heart dies from WPlus9 to cut the white and orange pieces for the face.  SO FUN!!!  The alphabet stamps are from The Stamps of Life.  I punched simple circles with a hole punch for the eyes and then just cut a super thin strip with my paper trimmer for the whiskers and trimmed them to size.  I added just a touch of texture with an embossing folder and I SOOO HEART HIM!!!!!  For reals.  Love.

What Does the Fox Say (inside)

The inside of the card is finished, as well, with the answer to the question, of course!  I used a great speech bubble die from Simon Says Stamp and the Handwritten sentiments set from Avery Elle.  This card just makes me smile.  #thatisall

#thatsnotreallyall  First of all... one really shouldn't write with hashtags.  Seriously.  Who WRITES this blog, anyway?!  Secondly, I hope you like my little card.  Even if it did stick that song in your head for the rest of the day.  HA!

Have a Happy!

Sparkling!

Hello!  Welcome to Wednesday, folks!  This week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is a SKETCH challenge!  Yup... we give you the layout, and you make magic happen with it!  The design team is using Jane's Doodles and/or Authentique products this week, so if you have those, we'd love to see them, but you don't have to use them if you don't.  Use what you've got, folks!

Here is the sketch that Heather created for us this week:

And here is the card that I came up with using it!

Sparkling Like a Star

I used the Authentique Glistening Collection and I LOVE IT!!!!  The colors are so pretty in this collection and the journaling card combined with the great patterns made it SO easy to come up with a fun card design!  I added a bit of sparkle on the journaling card by tracing over some parts with the Wink of Stella glitter brush.  I do so love that thing.  I really do.

Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to check out the awesome inspiration for today!  I think you will enjoy seeing the various ways the team used the sketch!  It is so fun to see just how DIFFERENT the designs can turn out using the same basic template!  YAY!

One lucky participant is going to win a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  Yup.  That's an awesome prize.  For reals, folks.  So...what are you doing here?  Go make it happen, dudes!
