Happy Independence Day!

Wishing you and your family a very happy Independence Day! I have a quick card to share with you using the fabulous July Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp!

Three Ships by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #simonsaysstamp #cards

I love the sailboat die that comes in this kit! I combined it with some of the stamps (that border... SO useful!), and the beautiful patterned papers for this design.

Just A Little Boat

Yup. Just a little boat. A little adorable boat. A little adorable boat in red, white, and blue. That is what I have for you today. This adorable little boat in red, white, and blue comes from the super adorable Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. That you need. No, for reals, though. It's awesome. And I super duper love these stamps! LOTS!

Thanks by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #cards #patriotic

To create this fun little design, I stamped the boat and colored it with Spectrum Noir pens. I stamped the water on a scrap piece of cardstock and then colored that with Copics before fussy cutting the waves with my Fiskars MicroTip Scissors. I adhered the waves with foam tape to add just a bit of dimension. YAY!

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day to all of my US readers! I am lucky enough to be on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog on this super fun holiday (The 4th of July is one of my absolute favorites, actually) and I have a fun, patriotic card to celebrate!

Awesome Flag

I pulled out a few different sets to create my fun flag design. I love how it is whimsical and artistic and just plain FUN! I used one of the flowers from Wallflower to create the star field and then used a super fun border from Countdown to create the dancy pantsy stripes. (Yup, that's what we're calling it. Because I want to, that's why. And it's my blog and I get to make these decisions. For reals, though. Dancy pantsy.) I used post it tape to mask off the areas while stamping. The sentiment is from my favorite sentiment set, Wait for It. If you don't yet own this stamp I am concerned. Very, deeply concerned. You should have that checked.

Awesome (detail)

A few sequins add to the celebratory feel of this card, along with the embossed sentiment on the wavy banner. It's just a happy-let's-have-a-party kind of card. So go ahead... have a PARTY! Happy Independence Day!

OH! And to celebrate, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is offering FREE shipping all weekend! Just use the code FREEDOM at checkout!

Have a Happy!

Wanna See My Hamburger Cupcakes??????!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am a WEE TAD bit excited to share these with you! They are HAMBURGER CUPCAKES!!! I had SO much fun making them!!! Seriously, I think this was the highlight of my Fourth of July weekend! They took a really long time, but it was SO worth it to see how they looked when they were done! Even the Hubbums loved them! He wanted to eat one right away and he NEVER does that!!!! The great inspiration came from the one and only Bakerella. I was worried that I couldn't make them look good enough, but I am SO thrilled with the results! I will totally make them again! Yes, a lot of work, but SO much fun! Oh....and it made for a messy kitchen, too! LOL!

Here are the photos!

The buns are yellow cupcakes, the burgers are brownies, and the ketchup, mustard, and lettuce are, of course, frosting. They are topped with sesame seeds and I made some fun picks since I was taking them to a 4h of July party! The french fires are sugar cookies! Yum!!!

SEEEEE!!!! Seriously? Aren't they the cutest things EVER???!!!! I love them. What did YOU make for the holiday? Anything way fun? I did!!! Hee-heee!!!!
