I Love This Heart

Okay, WAIT! Before I begin, I want to tell you about something kind of super fun... I am on the CardMaker Magazing blog! WHAT?! Yup! And I think that's pretty awesome! I am featuring the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit over there along with some tips on using journaling cards in your card making, so be sure to head over and check it out!

Speaking of the October Simon Says Stamp Card Kit... You need it. For reals, though. I have been playing with it a TON, and I am so in love with it!

Thanks by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #Cards

This heart stamp from the I See You stamp set is absolutely amazeballs and I love it super duper lots. For reals. Lots. And Lots. I colored it with Distress Markers, splashed some water to add some visual texture, and then outlined it with the Viva Decor Paper Pen in black. After that dried, I layered Glossy Accents over the entire thing for a sort of stained glass look. It makes me happy. It really does.

I used some of the embroidery floss behind the heart over that gorgeous patterned paper. A simple sentiment is all this one really needed!

If you haven't checked out this kit, seriously, you totally need to go buy it. It's that simple. I promise. This is probably my favorite one ever. For reals.

Little Yellow School Bus

As I have my pumpkin spice coffee with my pumpkin harvest crisp yogurt for breakfast (yup...I'm totally ONE OF THOOOOSE), I wanted to share another fun little card I created using the Simon Says Stamp Back to School stamp set. You could easily change this sentiment out to be a cute teacher thank you or even an encouraging lunch box note for your kiddo!

I colored the image using Copics and and Spectrum Noir markers. I added the little smoke puffs and the road lines by hand. P.S. That was scary. HA! The windows of the bus are coated with glossy accents to add just a little bit of shine!

Beep! Beep!!!

It's ANYTHING GOES time on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! The Design Team is playing with Penny Black products this week. I absolutely HAD to get this stamp when I saw it!!! After all, I DO drive one! *insert winky face here* You don't have to use Penny Black to play along, bug if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them!

Life is Better With Friends by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #cards #PennyBlack

This is the Penny Black Miniful Hedgehog stamp. You guys. It's a Mini Cooper. And a hedgehog. And a couple of other cute animals, to boot. For REALS, it is fabulous. For reals, though. For reals. I used my Tombow markers and a waterbrush to watercolor the image. This was a new method for me, but it was a fun one to try and I like how bold the colors are! The Sun is from the Simon Says Stamp My Sunshine stamp set and the sentiment is borrowed from the MFT Tickled Pink stamp set. Don't be afraid to mix and match those stamp sets! Even if they are from different brands!

I added the 'chrome' with a silver pen and then used Glossy Accents to create a glass look over the windows once the watercolor had dried. Because this is all on watercolor paper, it stood up very well to all these treatments! Love that! You can find my complete supply list below.

Now it is YOUR turn! Create something fabulous (just make sure it is NEW, no backlinking is allowed), and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Yup! It's THAT easy! We can't WAIT to see you there!

Anything Goes!

It's Anything Goes week over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog this week! I know, I know, everyone's FAVORITE! YAY!!! The design team is using Lawn Fawn products this week. You don't have to use them to join in, but we love to see you use them with us if you have some!

When I saw THIS adorable card by Tracey McNeely I was super inspired. I absolutely loved it and used it as the jumping off point for the two cards I created for today! One is HEAVILY inspired (read: copied) and the other came after that one because I was just plain old having fun with my Lawn Fawn stamps! YAY! I do so love it when that happens!

Happy Trails

For this one I stamped my trees and colored them on my panel and then stamped, colored, and die cut the little trailer. SO fun and a clean and simple design that makes me smile!

(Confession: My Glossy Accents weren't quite dry when I took this shot. There's no minute like the last minute, right? HA!)

Get Well Soon

And then this one. Oh, white, glorious white. I do love white space. Tracey's card was definitely the driving force on this one, but it had to be made! I simply cut the white panel, rounded the corners, and stamped the sentiment. I then stamped and colored the Rx bottle and die cut it, adding it with foam tape. A bit of Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents adds sparkle and shine to the heart! LOVE IT!

Now it's YOUR turn! Anything Goes, so you have NO excuses! Make something new and link it up for your chance to win a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!

Have a Heart

We have a brand new challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! Today we are bringing out the LOVE! The theme for the challenge this week is Have a Heart! We want to see hearts on your project somewhere! I played with some super fun new goodies for my card and I just love how this one turned out!

Sending You My Love

I am still loving this adorable Little Monsters set from Simon Says Stamp! Seriously, though, you guys. It is just TOO CUTE! I colored him with Spectrum Noir pens and mixed in a bit of paper piecing. You can find my complete supply list at the bottom  of this post. I then added a giant sentiment sticker and it is AWESOME! For reals, though, I love that sticker.

Sending You My Love (detail)

The design team is showcasing Wink of Stella and Glitter Ritz products this week and I've incorporated both on my card today! I added some clear Wink of Stella to the eyes and then coated them with Glossy Accents for a shimmering, shiny look. The glittery hearts are enamel hearts that I coated with Glossy Accents and covered with red Glitter Ritz glitter! SO MUCH FUN!

And now it's your turn! One lucky participant is going to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! That lucky participant could be YOU! Create a card based on the Have a Heart theme and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog for your chance to win! I can't WAIT to see what you create!
