Thirty-One October

31 (2)

Ooooo!!!! I can't wait! But I wanna wait 'cause I don't want it to be over yet. I just love Halloween! It is just so much fun and one of the BEST holidays to craft for, in my opinion! It makes me happy. I created this super fun shrine with one of the new kits from Retro Cafe Art. It is the mini-dash Halloween shrine kit and it comes with the bat and the spider! So fun!

DSCN3191

I had to stock up on black glitter because when I saw this one I just KNEW I wanted to cover it with fabulous black glitter!!! I added one of the Gravestone ATC Border Overlays to the front after painting it black and spritzing it with a bit of smoke glimmer mist.

31 (5)

Those fabulous trees are also painted black and then spritzed with a bit of shimmer. I also pulled from two digital collage sheets for the background and the heart accent. I used the bird image from Happy Hallow 3 and the wonderful heart came from Happy Hallow 5. I LOVE THESE!!!

This piece was seriously fun to create! Seriously. No. For serious. Just say'n.

WOYWW 31 Aug 2011

And, for those who have stopped by from WOYWW, you can see the aftermath of this, and obviously several other recent projects! HA! Of course, what would WOYWW be without playing a good game of 'figure out what all that stuff on Jingle's desk is'. HA!!!! I hope you all have a super fantastic Wednesday!!!!

Don't forget about the Shrine Kit Contest at Retro Cafe Art!!! You could win some AWESOME prizes!

Thank You For All You Do - It's Sketch Tuesday with Skipping Stones!!!

And yes...that also means it is officially HOMEWORK DAY! Hee-Hee! That is quite fitting seeing as The Hubbums has his first day back at school today. He won't have students until Thursday, but still. LOL! Yesterday was supposed to be his first day, however, due to hurricane issues, yesterday got cancelled. Kinda funny, actually....first day being cancelled. The kids would have loved it if it was THEIR first day! HA!

Thank You For All You Do (close)

As I said, today is Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday and today is also our FINAL sketch with the fabulous Terri Anderson! That makes me a bit sad because I have loved these sketches! It really is a great one and for once in my life I stuck pretty darned close to the sketch, too! HA!

As soon as I saw the fabulous circles I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do! They simply HAD to be stitched! So, I traced the circles onto the cardstock with pencil, used my paper piercer to add the holes, as I didn't trust my ability to move my sew easy tool in a circle...ha! ... and then stitched each circle in a different color of fabulous baker's twine from The Twinery! I chose to use the seriously beautiful Everyday Blessings stamp set for this card and it was perfect!

Thank you (detail)

The papers are all American Crafts and I used Momento ink to stamp on them. It's simple and happy, and I love that. Just say'n.

Now, remember it's HOMEWORK DAY! That means that YOU need to create a card using THIS sketch and then head on over to Skipping Stones (Sketch #91) to link up your card for your chance to win some free stamps!

And, today is a bit of a sad day, too, as we are saying goodbye to the Skipping Stones Design team to bring in some fabulous new faces! So, make sure to visit all of the designers and the fabulous August Guests, too, and check out their cards and leave some love on their blogs!

Theoretically, this Hippo could have done this in my Basement yesterday. Just say'n.

***Don't Forget to check out the great GIVEAWAY HERE!!!!

Well, Hurricane Irene has come and gone and we were fortunate to have no major problems. Our basement flooded, however, it is unfinished and we fully expected that to happen, so we were pretty prepared for it. As of this morning, the humidity down there was down to 65% and some areas of the floor are dry. The lower areas are still puddles, but they will be fine in a day or two between the pump and the dehumidifier. We never lost power at our house, although, MANY people did. My parents lost it all day at theirs. I don't know if they have it back this morning or not yet. We did have at least one tree down - it actually snapped in the middle and the top part fell down so we have a giant 'half-tree' in the backyard. It's kind of funny looking. Another tree is leaning A LOT, but we can't see if it broke due to the growth all around it, so it might just be forever leaning oddly or it could be broken. None of these fell anywhere near the house, though, so that's good. So, that's what happened in my neck of the woods. How about you?

Happy Birthday Hippo

I felt that this card was appropriate for today, seeing as this fun hippo could have taken this bath in our basement yesterday! HA! He is a fabulous image from 100 Proof Press! The image is called Splashing Hippo! YAY! (#5657-W) Seriously. I love him. I used some great EAD Stickers for the sentiment on this card! Love them!

Happy Birthday Hippo

I used inks as watercolors with my waterbrush to add just a bit of color to the image. I love how it makes it pop! And then I simply added some black and blue twine from The Twinery to finish it off!

I am linking this card to the following challenges:
Less Is More: Take Three - Week 12, Off Center; Week 28, One Layer with Ink; Week 29, Things that Move
CASual Fridays: Use Stickers

I {heart} You. And that's why I need your VOTES!!! :-) *Pretty Please???* (Giveaway)

You guys know I love you, you really do. I know you do. Because you are all awesome like that. Just say'n. That being the case, I know you will also like this card I have to share with you today. AND, that being the case, I'm *HOPING* you will VOTE for me!!!! *Please?* *Pretty Pretty Please?* I promise I am TOTALLY making the cute face! Tee-hee!

You see, Momenta had this awesome contest on their facebook page where they asked you to use their new Design Your Own Stickers. They are WICKED cool! They come in a variety of styles in plain white. Then, you hop onto their website, MyMomenta.com, and you find the template (super easy), and either choose a pre-created design, create your own with the HUGE variety of options they have available, or download the template and make your own in photoshop or a similar program.

{heart} YOU

I decided to go with a pretty mottled grey for my letters and then I added glitter over three of them to make the 'you' pop out from the rest. This was SO much fun and really quite easy to do, too! I love that I can have letters on hand and then make them match ANYTHING I want to use them on!!!

{heart} YOU

I wanted to make the stickers the star of the show, so that's how I came up with my design. I love these things! They rock!

So, if you are awesome, too, I'd love for you to vote for me! You can vote once a day, so I *might* just be mentioning this little contest over the next few days, but only because the prize is AWESEOME and I'd love to win! And...as an added incentive, I have decided to share the prize if I win! So, each time you vote leave a comment on this post letting me know you voted (once a day)and each time you will be entered to win! I will only be able to offer a prize *IF* I am the winner, so spread the word and VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

Feel free to leave other comments, but be sure to mention that you voted if you do!

Thank you!!!! I {heart} You!!!!! You are pretty much awesome.

Jingle Out and stuff.

Just say'n.

Whew! Finally getting my project inspiration again! {WOYWW}

I was doing fine with cards, but for some reason any and all 'other' project inspiration seemed to run out the window! I am happy to say that last night (after making a card) I felt the urge to get started and pull out the glitter! Glitter always helps, if you ask me! So, today, I actually have something in progress on my desk.

DSCN3119

That's my brand new BRIGHT PINK cutting mat that I got in a prize package. I love it! Thanks Elmer's! You rock! As you can see, I am busy working on a fun Halloween shrine piece using a fabulous kit and some extra pieces from Retro Cafe Art Gallery! I am not quite sure where this piece is going to land yet, but it is all starting to come together. I had a brilliant idea late last night (while in bed, of course), but I'm not sure if I can execute it well, so we shall see what is to come. We shall see!

WOYWW 24Aug2011 (2)

A few more of these fabulous pieces may work themselves into this piece. I love Halloween!!!! I'm so excited to be working on fun Halloween projects!

Let's see...other than that, all I can tell you is that I am super hyper today and, therefore, typing at a rate that is quite impressive if I do say so myself! That's what a frozen caramel latte thingy from Honeydew does to you when you don't usually drink coffee at all. HA! (Let's just say I was a very sleepy girl and now I'm NOT!!!!!!!!! Just say'n.)

So, I hope your Wednesday is super duper fantabulous and I hope you check out the other post I posted before this one because it's an adorable and hilarious squirrel who lives in a trash can and eats like a people. Just say'n.

Bye now.

Jingle out.

P.S. If a couple of you would be so kind as to look at that little Facebook widget and like my page, that would rock. I've been hovering SO close to 600 and just can't seem to make it over the edge! HA! Figures.

K. Jingle really actually out this time.

Just say'n.

Out.

A Snowy Window in August? Sure. Why the heck not!

It's Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday, folks, and that means a fabulous new sketch and some fabulous new art for you to check out!

To see the complete list of participants check out my Blogs For Boobies post! The current bid on my set of goodies including THREE of my cards, a set of stamps, and an altered dress form is $21! I know you guys can beat that, so GET BIDDING!!! Don't forget that every stamp set purchased from Skipping Stones through today will generate a $2 Donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation to help our cause!

Now, onto today's sketch! When I saw the sketch I had one of the 'Great Idea' kind of moments where I pictured a window and snow falling...yadda....yadda....yadda...So...I went with it. I'm not sure how I feel about the outcome yet. I think the picture in my head worked a bit better than my actual execution, but, I can't say that I hate it, so ... I guess it's still up in the air. HA!

You are Snow Wonderful

I created the window itself from Real Wood by Creative Imaginations. The curtains are, coincidentally, made from curtains. HA! I tied them with a bit of red burlap string from May Arts. I used two fabulous Skipping Stones stamp sets for my scene, Uplifting (for the background) and Sassy Snow, which just so happens to be on Overstock Sale right now!

Snow wonderful (detail)

SO...here's your HOMEWORK! Head on over to Skipping Stones and check out the sketch for today. Create a card and link it up for goodness sake because you could win FREE STAMPS!!!! Free stamps are a TOTALLY GOOD thing! Just say'n.

I think Mondays are Better with Winners and with Tricycles...Just say'n.

Well, here we are, once again on Monday. Fortunately, this week looks to be slightly less busy, to that's a good thing. This is The Hubbums' last week off before school starts again, so routines will be changing a bit again and then settling back in.

I have a super fun card to share with you today! It has bikes on it and bikes are cool. Okay, so they are *actually* trikes. Trikes are even cooler than bikes. Just say'n.

Playground Adventurer

*LOVE. THE. TRICYCLES.* For reals, you guys, are they not just the cutest things ever?! They are. Trust me on this. I know these things. I'm a trained expert in cute and fabulous. Just say'n. The image is the Tricycle from 100 Proof Press. I stamped it three times because once simply wasn't enough. HA!

playground adventurer (detail)

Because the tricycle was so awesome I didn't feel this card needed a lot more. A bit of gorgeous orange baker's twine from The Twinery and a fun sentiment created with Making Memories stickers finishes it off. Yay!

I also have a couple of winners to announce today! YAY FOR WINNING!!!!

The winner of the handmade Zombie Art Doll is: Jennifer Stewart! (She has fun things on her blog! You should probably visit it. Just say'n.)

And the Winner of the Samantha Walker Apron is: Sally Morgan! (She makes super cute cards!!! Seriously. Go see.)

Congratulations to both winners! If you could please email me with your name and mailing address I can get your prizes out to you this week!

Also, don't forget that the Blogs for Boobies posts are all still open! Bid on your favorite cards (and more!) for your chance to help this great cause and get a treat for yourself! You can find my Blogs for Boobies post HERE!

I am linking this up to the Things That Move Challenge over at Less is More!

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

Going Girly and Gutsy in the Moxie Fab World

Girly and Gutsy? Yup. I've totally got that! When I saw this Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World I was instantly inspired! The lines of those chairs and the colors really caught my eye. I had to jump in and play!

Girly and Gutsy Hi (detail)

A mustache on a girly card? HECK YEAH, dude. Love it. Just say'n.

This is the fabulous trigger image. Umm...those chairs???? Yes, please. And the fabulous combination of the soft yellow, pale pink, and strong, grounding black just made me happy. I chose to go with a shaped card, as the fabulous chandelier was just too good to miss! The fascinating lines of those chairs led to some fun with baker's twin below the bold mustache. TOO FUN!

Girly and Gutsy Hi Card

Basically, I loved this trigger and I had a ton of fun creating a Girly and Gutsy card for it! Thanks Moxie Fab! You pretty much rock!

Loves & Kisses

Many Thanks - A Single Layer Card with 100 Proof Press

Okay, so here's the deal. I really love this card. No. For reals. I don't know what it is, but I REALLY love this one. It makes me feel good. It makes me want to sit, and breath. Is that weird? I'm pretty sure that's weird. Oh, well. I'm pretty used to being weird. Just say'n.

Many Thanks

*sigh*

Cool, breezy day. Comfy sweater and a favorite pair of jeans. A rocking chair. Singing birds. Crisp air. The scent of Apple Crisp wafting in the air. Pumpkins tumbling from the garden.

*sigh*

Many Thanks (detail)

The challenge over at Less is More was to create a single layer card using ink. Well, I sorta use ink a lot, so I wanted to do something I don't usually do, so I did a bit of masking and then spritzed the text image, stamped in distress ink, with just a bit of water to make it run. Ummmmmmmmmm....yeah. I'm totally in love. Then I stamped the rocking chair image in the middle with StazOn in chocolate. {heart.} Both of those gorgeous stamps are from 100 Proof Press. The handwritten letter is just too awesome!!! As for that bow. It's some kind of corn husk type thing that came on a gift I received. I really love it! If I could find a roll of that stuff, I'd be thrilled! It has such amazing texture! The sentiment is a sticker from SRM Press. The perfect finish!

***This is my SECOND Post for the Day! Don't forget to check out the Pixie CUTENESS in the previous post!***

It's Time for a Pixie Dust Studio Sneak Peek AND a new Challenge!

Yes, the Pixies have a lot of fun stuff going on this week!  There is a brand new release coming out tomorrow and I have a little sneak peek for you today!  The release is called The Candy Jar!!!  How awesome is that?  Pretty darned awesome.  Just say'n.

Here is a peek at that set.....

Candy Birthday

I used a nice big SRM sticker in the middle for the sentiment and pretty much went wild and crazy with the twine on this one. I {heart} twine. I really really really do. Just say'n. The papers are from Echo Park.

Candy Birthday (detail)

AND, not only is there a new release coming tomorrow, BUT, there is also a new Pixie Dust CHALLENGE!!! Yay!!! For this challenge, the Pixies want you to come up with a Tween/Teen Dream! Yup! That's right! Create a card for a teen!

16 is all about YOU!

I chose to use the Miss Britney image for my card and I LOVE how she turned out. You see, I don't have fancy Copic markers. Nope. I have Tombow markers, though, and they worked some magic for me on this image! I was so excited when I completed her coloring!

Miss Britney 16th Birthday (detail)

The fabulous white numbers and the sentiment sticker are SRM again. LOVE THEM!!!

So, head on over to the challenge blog and the Pixie Dust Studio blog to see the other fabulous creations the Pixies have put out there for you!!! It's a WHOLE lot of cuteness, folks!

Happy Thursday!

Blogs for Boobies Auction Cards

Blogs for Boobies Auction Gift

*"How to place a bid on a card/project"

Step #1
Find the comment section or linky on the blog that shows the "Blogs 4 boobies" card or project that you want to buy. *Please note you may only bid on the card/project shown in the specific "blogs 4 boobies" post. *Any bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.

Step #2
Once you are in the "blogs 4 boobies" comment or linky section fill in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card/project. We recommend a starting bid of $5 or more. Remember your bid includes shipping as well as the card/or project. 100% of the money your bid will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Step #3
Next to your $ bid please type in your email address. During a silent auction bidders sign their name next to their bid. Typing your email address is the electronic equivalent of signing your bid. Also it will help the blogger contact you if you are the highest bidder.

Step #4
Watch and wait.
Once you have entered your bid/comment sit back and wait. If someone out bids you then you may bid again. Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. Mountain time August 23rd

* Please note that the participating stampers/bloggers will probably re-post their Blogs 4 Boobies card/project on the 23rdof August. When the blogger re-post their project then the bidding will continue on the NEWEST post and that comment section.

Things to keep in mind:

Near the end of the bidding you may not see bids as they come in. Most blog have a comment feature where the blogger must approve comments before they are published. So bid high. You might have the highest bid that is published, but someone might have outbid you in an unpublished comment/bid.
The blogger/designer will declare who has won the silent auction. Skipping Stones Design will send you an invoice for your donation/bid amount. Please pay that invoice as soon as possible, so the designer can get your card/project in the mail to you.

Remember 100% of your bid will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
