BUT...before I get to that, I want to remind you that the Blogs for Boobies auctions all end today (specifically at 8:00pm Eastern Time August 23rd) so get your bids in! To see the complete list of participants check out my Blogs For Boobies post! The current bid on my set of goodies including THREE of my cards, a set of stamps, and an altered dress form is $21! I know you guys can beat that, so GET BIDDING!!! Don't forget that every stamp set purchased from Skipping Stones through today will generate a $2 Donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation to help our cause!
Now, onto today's sketch! When I saw the sketch I had one of the 'Great Idea' kind of moments where I pictured a window and snow falling...yadda....yadda....yadda...So...I went with it. I'm not sure how I feel about the outcome yet. I think the picture in my head worked a bit better than my actual execution, but, I can't say that I hate it, so ... I guess it's still up in the air. HA!
I created the window itself from Real Wood by Creative Imaginations. The curtains are, coincidentally, made from curtains. HA! I tied them with a bit of red burlap string from May Arts. I used two fabulous Skipping Stones stamp sets for my scene, Uplifting (for the background) and Sassy Snow, which just so happens to be on Overstock Sale right now!
SO...here's your HOMEWORK! Head on over to Skipping Stones and check out the sketch for today. Create a card and link it up for goodness sake because you could win FREE STAMPS!!!! Free stamps are a TOTALLY GOOD thing! Just say'n.
You simply MUST check out what the other Stamp Tramps have created! Why, you ask? Because they ROCK, that's why! Silly, silly people.
