Thank You For All You Do - It's Sketch Tuesday with Skipping Stones!!!

And yes...that also means it is officially HOMEWORK DAY! Hee-Hee! That is quite fitting seeing as The Hubbums has his first day back at school today. He won't have students until Thursday, but still. LOL! Yesterday was supposed to be his first day, however, due to hurricane issues, yesterday got cancelled. Kinda funny, actually....first day being cancelled. The kids would have loved it if it was THEIR first day! HA!

As I said, today is Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday and today is also our FINAL sketch with the fabulous Terri Anderson! That makes me a bit sad because I have loved these sketches! It really is a great one and for once in my life I stuck pretty darned close to the sketch, too! HA!

As soon as I saw the fabulous circles I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do! They simply HAD to be stitched! So, I traced the circles onto the cardstock with pencil, used my paper piercer to add the holes, as I didn't trust my ability to move my sew easy tool in a circle...ha! ... and then stitched each circle in a different color of fabulous baker's twine from The Twinery! I chose to use the seriously beautiful Everyday Blessings stamp set for this card and it was perfect!

Thank you (detail)

The papers are all American Crafts and I used Momento ink to stamp on them. It's simple and happy, and I love that. Just say'n.

Now, remember it's HOMEWORK DAY! That means that YOU need to create a card using THIS sketch and then head on over to Skipping Stones (Sketch #91) to link up your card for your chance to win some free stamps!

And, today is a bit of a sad day, too, as we are saying goodbye to the Skipping Stones Design team to bring in some fabulous new faces! So, make sure to visit all of the designers and the fabulous August Guests, too, and check out their cards and leave some love on their blogs!

  15. Fabulicious. Your hand punching and sewing looks great. I wouldn't trust my sew easy to do a circle, either....ha! (Heck, I can't even get a straight line out of the thing.)
