Hey, There!

Let's just cut to the chase, shall we? It's ANYTHING GOES week! Yes, that's right, it's everyone's favorite theme, Anything Goes, on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog this week! The design team is featuring Simon Says Stamp exclusives this week! You don't have to use them to join in, but if you have some, we'd love to see how yo make them shine!

Hey There

Yup. I had a little extra fun with this one. I seriously LOVE these old school sunglasses dies from Simon and I was excited to use them! I paired them, perhaps a bit unexpectedly, with the heart from the I See You stamp set. I love this heart! I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, using colors that were not too strong, but bold enough to peek through the vellum I used in the glasses just a bit. Because... FUN!!!

Naturally, I added some giant googley eyes. Because: Naturally.

Now it's YOUR turn! Create something AWESOME. Use some Simon exclusives if you would like to, and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store. Yup. We like giving those away!

Some Kisses and Stuff

Hello, friends! I have a super fun lovey dovey card today featuring some favorites from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! BUT... before we get there, did you know they are having a sale? 'Cause they are. And you should totally go check it out. For REALS. It's the Ten Things We Love Sale. And, well, we love these things, so you should, too. You will. You DO! Good talk.

And I just so happened to use one of those great sale sets on my card today. HEY! Isn't that fancy and convenient and stuff?! Yup. Totes.

Mwah by Jennifer Ingle

I stamped the grey tic tac toe board first. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment in red embossing powder. I blended some mint ink onto it for a pop of color and then added a few white dots to give the font even more pizzazz. Because: pizzazz.

Thank You Beary Much!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another AWESOME Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! This week, our theme is Create with Critters! We want to see critters front and center on your project this week! The Design Team is featuring Lawn Fawn this week. You know how AWESOME Lawn Fawn is when it comes to critter images! You don't have to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see how you rock them!

Bear Thanks

I pulled out the adorable Party Animals Stamp Set again. It is just TOO cute! I love it! I colored him and then die cut with the Scripty Thanks die to create a layered inset look.

A touch of patterned paper and a few sequins finish off the design. Now it's your turn! Create something adorable inspired by the Create with Critters theme for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store

And if you happen to have your OWN critter at home, don't forget to post a photo! We love seeing your critters!

Here is a recent photo of my little critter, Morgan, cooking with her Daddy. She likes to help. And, obviously, needed to wear a Star Wars apron. Obviously.

Smooches!

So, this Avery Elle Hogs and Kisses stamp set exists, therefore, I had to have it. That makes sense, right? Right. Let's go with that. Glad we had this talk.

RIGHT, though?! For REALS, you guys! Cutest images EVER! I colored this ridiculously-make-you-giggle cow with Spectrum Noir pens. I love how you can mix up the sentiments in the heart. The set was designed really well in that regard. LOVE IT! I used a couple of sheets from the Jen Hadfield Cottage Living 6x6 paper pad. SEE! I DO know how to use patterned paper.

Once in awhile.

Those tiny hearts are cut with the Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Set die. If, for some reason, you do know own this die, go ye to Simon henceforth and drop $7 on them immediately because it is one of the most handy and useful dies in my entire collection. And that's a large collection, trust me on this.

And with that, I wish a wonderful day for you!

Seriously? Thanks.

Four colors. Seems easy enough, right? Create a card using four colors. Well, oddly enough, it was a little tricky. Four goes beyond my CAS two or three, yet falls slightly short of a more layered style of design for me. That, my friends, is why I was excited to try this Paper Smooches Challenge!

I decided to go the clean and simple route, as it is my favorite, for this fun, colorful card.

Seriously?

I die cut these super cute glasses and then adhered thin strips of cardstock behind the negative image to create a fun, playful look. I simply stamped the sentiment from Slang Gang in one of the four cardstock colors (Wisteria from Simon Says Stamp) to tie it in with the image and complete the card.

Seriously? (inside)

The inside has a simple 'thanks' to complete the sentiment.

I had a blast creating this little design. It is fun and playful and sticks to my simple style quite well. I love when a challenge leads me to, not only have fun, but to create a project I love! YAY!

Have a Happy!

It's Ombré Time!

Hello, all, and welcome to another installment of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, brought to you by Simon Says Stamp, your one stop shop for all of your paper crafting needs! *And the crowd goes wild!*

Yup. It's a game show opener kind of day. Why? Because that's just the kind of mood I'm in. And I'm in charge around here. So, that's what you get.

Whatever. You know you love it.

The challenge this week is to use the ombré technique on your projects! The design team is featuring Hero Arts products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but if you've got some on hand, we'd love to see what you do with them!

Ombre thanks by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #HeroArts #RangerInk #JustJingle

I used this AWESOME dot background stamp to create my card for today. I seriously love this stamp! I stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder on white cardstock. I then used distress inks to create the ombé background. I kind of love it. The sentiment is the Simon Says Stamp Painted Thanks die, cut several times, layered, and then I used Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents, and some super fine glitter to make it sparkle. It sparkles. Lots.

Ombre thanks by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #HeroArts #RangerInk #JustJingle

Now it's YOUR turn! Created something awesome based on the Ombré inspiration and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store

That's all for today, folks! Thanks so much for joining us and be sure to come back next week for another fabulous installment of... the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! *Closing Music Plays*

Have a Happy. *wink*

Heh, heh... See What I Did There?

So, here's the thing. I don't usually do sketch challenges. For some reason I tend to struggle a bit with using a sketch for my inspiration. That being said, every now and then I see one that just catches me and I simply MUST give it a shot! This MFT Sketch Challenge sketch, was so very much one of those.

Isn't it fabulous? I had a few ideas, but decided to pull out a few Simon Says Stamp inks and an MFT stamp set I've had for awhile and haven't used yet for my design. I wanted to use a unique color combination, as I've found myself reaching for the same few colors a lot recently and wanted to shake things up a bit. This combo is different, but I kind of love how it turned out!

Just a Note by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #MFTStamps #Cards

I stamped the equalizer image repeatedly to create the 'stripes' represented by the sketch. I then die cut the super cute headphones and added those along with the sentiment to complete my card. I super love punny sentiments. Heh, heh...see what I did there? (Okay, so I didn't do it, so much, as MFT kindly did that for me by offering awesome punny sentiments in their sets, but... let's just go with it, K? K. Glad we had this talk.)

Just a Note by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #MFTStamps #Cards

The colors are teal, pale blush pink, and thistle. I used black and grey on the headphones to keep them neutral, but also to allow them to pop off the patterned background. I had a ton of fun creating this card! I was quite happy for the sketch challenge and the inspiration it provided!

Have a Happy!
