A Freestyle Thank You

Winnie & Walter is having a HUGE birthday bash with a bunch of awesome challenges! I have some cards I will be sharing this week as I play along with a few of the challenges. I am a HUGE fan of Winnie & Walter (no, I don't design for them... just absolutely love them), and I am excited to play along! You can find the full list of challenges for the birthday bash HERE.

Thanks

I created this card with Gayatri's CAS + Freestyle Collage challenge in mind. I love this style and like to play with it now and then. I used the 'Thanks' sentiment from The Big, The Bold and You set. I fussy cut it freehand to add more to the collage feel. I used papers from the Serendipity 6x6 paper pad, with which I am, naturally, in love. For reals, though. It's AWESOME!

Thanks (detail)

I added a bit of DMC silver thread with the layers of paper pieces for some texture and a bit of sparkle. If you don't have these metallic threads in your stash, I STRONGLY urge you to buy a set! Seriously... they are totally a staple in my life now. I love them. Lots. The puffy heart stickers are from a great pack I picked up at Target from K&Company. I LOVE THEM!

It's good to be back to a traditional schedule after the holidays! I am looking forward to a fun year ahead!

Have a Happy!

Simon Says PIN IT!

Happy Wednesday, folks! My day is beginning with a blueberry crumble coffee and some berries and vanilla yogurt. That's a good way to start a day, if you ask me! Just sayin'! Being Wednesday, I, of course, have a fun new Simon Says Stamp Challenge to share with you! Woot!

This week the theme is PIN IT! That's right! We want you to use pins and clips of all kinds on your project! Clothespins, push pins, paper clips, clothespins, etc. Have fun with it, dudes! (Speaking of Pins! Do you follow me on Pinterest? 'Cause I'm totally there and you totally should. 'Cause it would make me happy. Just sayin'.)

I pulled out a set of K & Company Smash Clips that I bought ages ago and hadn't used yet. They are super cuteness!

Adventure Awaits

Ummm, yes. Yes, I AM in love with that super adorable whale. K. I confessed. But, seriously, the CUTENESS of it all! You must be in love with him, too. You simply MUST be! For reals, folks. For reals. This card is entirely stamped with the exception of the cute little clip added at the top. Super easy, super fun! Love that!

Adventure Awaits (detail)

AND, as per usual, the amazingly generous Heidi is offering one lucky participant in this week's challenge a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!!!

So, here's the deal... create something NEW using pins or clips in some awesome way and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. All the cool kids are doing it, dude. You can enter up to FIVE times! Be sure to link up before 8am Eastern next Wednesday. And don't forget to head over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog for some awesome inspiration, too! YAY!

OH! And if you've made it this far, I'm curious what you think of the larger photos I've used in the last couple of posts. Are they too big? Do you like them? Too much? Let me know! I'm curious! Thanks!

Have a Happy!
