Because Diners are AWESOME, That's Why!

What? They are. Diners are wicked crazy cool and there really isn't a thing you can say to make me think otherwise. I am particularly fond of those that have actually been around forever and a day, as opposed to the cheap imitation, 'styled' diners that you see so often. I mean, if they make a good burger, I'm okay with that, but I really love the good 'ole fashioned hole in the wall style diners. We have several of them in Worcester. We go to our favorite one for breakfast every weekend! We get a FULL breakfast for each of us for $6 total. Yup. $6 for two of us. THAT, my friends, is a great diner! And the food is good, too! ANYWAY...my love for diners explains why I love this 100 Proof Press image so stinking crazy much!

Of course, the 5 & Dime collection from October Afternoon certainly isn't hurting that obsession at all, either. Just say'n. The stamp is quite simply called Roadside Diner and it is freaking AWESOME! For reals. No. Really. Just say'n.

And...you know you probably have a BUNCH of congratulations cards to send out, seeing as it is graduation season and all. OH...speaking of congratulations cards...please please Please Please PLEASE PLEASE spell Congratulations correctly. Seriously, people. It has never and will never have a 'd' in it. I don't CARE if the word 'graduation' has a 'd' in it and the two are often used together...that's simply not how words work. It is a 'T'. A big, fat, BOLD 'T'. And if you abbreviate it to 'Congrats' because, quite frankly, fitting a five syllable, fifteen letter word on a card can get pretty tricky...it STILL HAS A FREAKING 'T' IN IT and it STILL DOES NOT HAVE A 'D' IN IT!!!!! K? K. *whew!* So glad to have that off my chest.

Now...CongraTulations! You made it through this post! HA! Thanks, friends! You guys pretty much rock! Happy Weekend!!!

    I have to agree on the diner thing...I grew up in mostly southern states but there were several my family loved and to me there's nothing like a tasty, cheap, filling diner breakfast!!! The card rocks and I love you for speaking up on the spelling of congraTulations!! There are a couple others that peeve me like "definately" what?!! it is spelled "definitely" and you don't where a dress, you wear it and...Oh, sorry-lost it for a moment there!

    I am also a huge fan of diners! We have very few left here. Sadly, we are inundated with the silvery, overpriced replicas of the old ones, but - ugh. Your cards, as ALWAYS, are amazing! And, THANK YOU! Everyone calls me the 'Grammar Police' (I am an editor) because I'm always so meticulous about spelling and phrasing. I try to be casual in emails and blog comments, but I admit this freely - bad grammar hurts my eyes (and ears.) You and I are avid readers, one reason we are so in tune with words. And your 'rant' made ME happy!

    LOL, you crack me up.
    I am the worlds worst speller, that is why I have a dictionary beside me and do a spell check on my posts before I sent the out.

    But if its still incorrect, I'm blaming it on being Canadian...can I get away with that, lol.
