A Stitchy Hello

I have a quick post today sharing a card I created using another fun technique from Online Card Classes Clean and Simple 4. Jennifer McGuire shared some tips on stitching to add texture. She used stamps and dies as her guide, but I had a fun stitching guide on hand that I haven't used in awhile, so I pulled that out again to play!

I stamped the critter from the new Waffle Flower Crafts On My Mark stamp set along with his shadow in grey toned inks from Simon Says Stamp. I then used the We R Memory Keepers stitch guide for the hello. Instead of following the simple outline, as suggested by the pattern, I created a unique design with the stitching and had some fun with it. I love how it turned out!

I added a couple of googly eyes for a playful feel and mounted the panel on a mint cardstock base to tie in the mint in the sentiment. This came together rather quickly and was a lot of fun to create!

Bling it On!

Hello, friends! It's Wednesday and that means that it is time for another awesome Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! That's right, folks, it's that time again and we have a fun one for you this week! We challenge YOU to BLING IT ON! Yup. We want to see you SPARKLE! The design team is using fun products from KaiserCraft on our projects this week. They have LOTS to choose from!

Merry Christmas Tree

I combined the absolutely GORGEOUS papers from the Base Coat 12x12 paper pad with some other awesome papers from Teresa Collins for my card.

Confession: I love the papers. Lots. BUT...I didn't buy them to make cards. Nope. I totally bought that entire paper 12x12 paper pad to use as the backdrops for my card photos. Yes, my friends, my secret is out! I, indeed, do not have all of those cool walls of brick and wood in my home. HAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, though, if you need awesome photo backdrops, this paper pad is PERFECTION.

I used the awesome Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames Die set and did some hand stitching with DMC gold thread, with which I have fallen head over heels in love. Shhh! Don't tell my husband. K? K. Whew! That was close!

I have good news. YOU, yes, YOU, my friends, could potentially win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store! WHAT?! Yup. Totes, you guys. Totes. All you h ave to do is create a project using 'Bling it On!' as your inspiration and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. We know you are awesome and we want to SEE IT! Dude. Do it. For reals, though.

Have a Happy, folks!

Feeling a little Foxy

Have you guys SEEN these awesome Sew Easy Templates from We R Memory Keepers? Simon Says Stamp carries four of them and I am in LOVE! This one caught my eye, not only for the fox (because.... FOX.), but also for the super cute mustache, the diamond, the giant ampersand, and the amazing hot air balloon. I'm digging the flower and the arrow, too, actually. So, yeah... basically, I had to have it and at that price, who would turn it down? For REALS, you guys! Awesomeness!!!

Stitched Fox Birthday

I wanted the stitched fox to shine on this, so I kept the design SUPER CAS. I chose to do the stitching with burlap string from May Arts in black and a rust color. The sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti Lots to Say set stamped in black hybrid ink. I love that sentiment set!
