Amber Waves

That may just be the most beautiful name ever given to a stamp set. For reals. And yes, my friends, that is the name of the absolutely GLORIOUS set that we are introducing to you today over at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Seriously. You are going to LOVE this set! It's perfect for Thanksgiving, brilliant for fall, and well, just plain pretty! Here is the first card I created with Amber Waves!

Happy Thanksgiving

GORGEOUS!!! Those wheat stalk thingies are just too amazing! And I have also found that good Thanksgiving sentiments are rare, so I'm thrilled to have this perfect set for Thanksgiving card making, along with thank you's, general fall, and just plain pretty cards.

Happy Thanksgiving (detail)

I used a couple of fun techniques on this card, too. For the wheat, I used three different metallic embossing powders- gold, copper, and champagne. I love how pretty the three of them work together! Also, the 'enamel' dots you see are actually not enamel at all! I created them myself by punching circles from glitter paper and then carefully coating each one with Glossy Accents. Yup! I made my own daggum dots and I love 'em. For reals, you guys. For reals.

Be sure to head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and check out what the rest of the team has done AND enter to win this breathtaking stamp set! ALSO... yesterday's set was SUCH a hit that Michele has decided to put that one up a bit early so you can order it in time for Halloween! Woot! Yup! That means that you can get Spooky before the sneaks are even done this week! AWESOMESAUCE!!!!

Have a Happy!
