*Today's entire post simply MUST be read with a Southern Drawl. Just say'n.*
Yes, folks, that's right! You have landed your sweet little selves right here on JustJingle in the darned smack middle of the Samantha Walker Blog Hop! And BOY do we have some exciting hoot'n and holler'n good stuff to share with ya'll today! That sure is right! If you came o'r yonder by way of the that sweet 'ole gal, Eva's blog, well, then there you are right on track, my friends! If ya'll would like to begin at the begin'n as might be proper, well, then you are just gonna have to hurry your pretty little heads on over to Samantha's blog to start out the hop. Ope! And don't you go forett'n to hop on along to Guiseppa's pretty little blog right on after you're dun here, hun.
Now, it's time for you to meet a new friend here, today. Her name is Annie. Miss Annie O. Now, I know what ya'll are think'n. Yur think'n that O. stands for someth'n like Oakley. Well, my friends, this ain't Mississipi, this here is Massachusetts. Home of the Red Sox and such, so her name is actually Miss Annie Onassis. But, you see, she likes to short'n that right on down to Annie O. If Jackie could do it why the dickens can't she? Plus...it seems to suit her image better, being that the Oakley everyone assumes may just be a darned good fit for her little self!
Yup! You got it! Miss Annie O. is a country gal, indeed! And a feisty one at that! Would you believe she actually forced me to listen to country music the entire time she was being painted? Well, turns out, she was right, see'n as it was the perfect inspiration to paint those tiny boots, add that wild and crazy ginger top, and, of course give her a root'n, toot'n little cowboy dress made entirely from them there Samantha Walker fabrics over at that darn'd toot'n fabric shop, Riley Blake Designs!
She's even got one of them fancy little beaded necklaces all them girls are wear'n about town and such! That and some of that sparkly eye make-up all around those pretty sparklers right there on her face!
While most country girls would be wear'n their hat for such an occassion as a photo shoot, Miss Annie O., being the crazy lil' thing she's always tend'n to be, has gone done and misplaced her cowboy hat. It's the only thing that holds down that truly unruly mane of hers, too! I tell ya! (P.S. I'm pretty sure that's southern for Just Say'n. Just Say'n.)
She would lose her boots, too, if it weren't for her sleep'n in 'em most nights! She's down right convinced that she just may haffa' jump on outta bed and start shoot'n one of these days. Not sure why, see'n as she lives in a quiet little neighborhood and all, but you know how she can get those crazy hair-brained ideas stuck up in that nogg'n a' hers. These kids never do listen, now do they? I tell ya!
All in all, though, Annie's a good lass. She's just laundry buckets of fun, that girl!
***Okay...you can stop with the accent now. BUT...I hope you really did it because it was SUPER FUN to write that way. Just say'n.***
AND....I didn't JUST make Miss Annie O., I made a fun little Easter card to share with you today, too...it doesn't have an accent...unless you count bunny nose wriggling, but I'm not sure how to type that! HA!
This one is done with the adorable Cottontail collection by Samantha Walker for Creative Imaginations. It's wicked crazy cute. For reals. Just say'n. And PERFECT for Easter!!! I cut the little bunnies out of the paper, gave them eyes and puffy tails and then basically grinned from ear to ear from the sheer cuteness of it all!
Now...you best be fixin' ta head on over to Guiseppa's Blog to check out her amazing work! Don't forget to leave a comment on each post in the hop for an extra chance to win the blog hop prizes!!!
Goodness - what a great post! Jo x
