It's one Seriously Busy Week around here! Seriously.

So, here we are on Wednesday and WOW! All I can say is that I had a remarkably productive night last night and I still am not completely caught up with all that needs to be done project-wise, but I am okay with that because quite frankly, I love every last minute of it! YAY!!!!

This is my current workspace. Considering the flurry of creative activity that took place last night, quite frankly, I'm surprised it has this much space left! HA! Do you SEE those mustaches, though????? Seriously. The Hubbums and I were totally walking through Target and I rarely buy supplies there because, well, quite frankly, their selection generally sucks, but all the way from the main aisle these babies caught my eye! When I was magnetically pulled toward them, The Hubbums followed (You know how that goes, right? The magnetic draw toward something fabulous? K. Just check'n.), and even when he saw them he immediately said, "If you want those you can get them." SCORE!!!! They are wicked fun! We were laughing as I considered wearing one to work! HA!

You can also see the simple bracelet project I created there, as well! I almost feel guilty calling this a 'project' because it was SO simple, but sometimes I think that seeing the simplicity in things is an art form in and of itself, don't you?




I created this using one of the gorgeous Gothic Arches from Retro Cafe Art Gallery. I dotted on a bit of Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue and added glass glitter to accent the arch after painting it with a copper paint pen. I heated the glitter to tarnish it a bit, but I think I would like to tarnish it a bit more, even. Then I added a Tim Holtz jump ring and strung it on a gorgeous piece of May Arts ribbon and I am in love! So simple, and yet so pretty!

It's Skipping Stones Release Day!!!

I created this card with the new Everyday Blessings set. I just love the images on this set. I know, I know! The other day I was all up on making summer last with bright and sunny cards and now I have a fall card for you today, but just LOOK at it! *sigh* I guess fall can be happy, too. K? K. Good. I inked the May Arts burlap string to match the image that I stamped in the same color.

Zombie Dolls and my Blogiversary GIVEAWAY! *CLOSED*

It is Monday. It is raining. I had a super busy weekend. I woke up with a headache. So, one might think that today would be a gloomy kind of day around here, but I simply will not have THAT. Nope. Not here. Not today. Just say'n. You see, three years ago, in August I had this crazy idea that I should start a blog. I jumped in and, well, here we are...many wonderful friends, several amusing posts, and a whole lot of projects later. I can't even really tell you how much I LOVE blogging and the community that I am a part of because of it. You guys are seriously awesome. THAT, my friends, is why I have decided to give away one of my dolls to one lucky Just Jingle reader. It just so happens that I recently surpassed 100,100 hits, too, so that's pretty exciting, and worth a zombie doll, too! YAY!



I'd like you to meet Zelda, Zinnia, and Zeppa! They are sisters, of course, however, it seems they have been infected with a pesky little virus...you know...the one that turns you into a zombie and such.



It all began with Zelda, here. You see, she was out having her hair done and made a quick stop at Starbucks to grab three caramel apple ciders to bring home to her sisters and out of NOWHERE this random bloody guy starts moving toward her. Being that she is a bit naive and quite polite, she nodded, smiled and said hello, wanting to not discriminate against the bloody and such. You know how it goes. Well, he didn't have much to say, but he seemed to want to give her a hug, so she let him. Ooopsies! (*bite*) Zelda is a zombie. Just say'n.



Well, Zelda went on her way, as the virus hadn't set in all the way quite yet and she really wanted to bring those ciders to Zinnia and Zeppa. When she walked in Zinnia thought Zelda looked a bit strange, but knowing she had just had her hair done she didn't want to say anything, so she embraced her warmly (*bite*) and eagerly accepted the cider her sister had just set down on the table. Hmmmmm.....Zinnia was a zombie. Just say'n.



Never one to miss out on any of the fun, Zeppa, after hearing her sisters chatting, came out, saw the caramel apple cider and gave her sister a HUGE hug because caramel apple cider is her favorite and...(*bite*). Yup. You guessed it. Zeppa is a zombie. Just say'n.



*Sigh.* Zelda, Zinnia, and Zeppa. Three sweet girls, now....the Zombie Sisters. Just say'n. BUT, they simply refuse to be nothing but gross, so they like to stay stylish with their vintage floral print dresses and, of course, flowers in their hair...at least as long as their hair stays on their heads...However...you should be aware, next time someone brings you your favorite drink from Starbucks..a simple thank you will do. Just say'n.

And now for the fun part! One of you will win either Zinnia or Zeppa! You see, I simply HAD to break these three up, as their 'kindness' seemed to be spreading! Yikes! So, I sent Zelda off to my partner in the last doll swap I participated in and now I would like to send one of the other girls off to one of you to care for!

U R Special {Friends with Flair Friday}

No, really. You are. Just say'n.

Now, I don't know about you, but I keep seeing people talk about how they are ready for fall weather... and I just have one thing to say about that. I'M NOT!!! I love summer and I want it to last as long as it is willing. We tend to get short summers here in Mass, so I am enjoying the pleasant August weather! So, I decided to stick with Summer for my card today! Are you all cool with that? K. Good. (Yes, I'm assuming you all said yes, because I can't imagine that ANYONE would ever possibly disagree with me, as I am always right on these matters. Just say'n. HA!)



I started out with several sheets of Echo Park papers from the Summer Days collection. These are just too fun! The stamps are Samantha Walker's Sweet Life stamp set for Unity. I stamped them on the Echo Park paper with Momento inks and added chalk details for a bit of dimension. Oh...and sprinkles, of course. 'Cause ya GOTTA have sprinkles! Just say'n.



The giant fabulous pink and white ribbon is from May Arts and I {heart} it big time. For reals. I added a simple sentiment sticker from Cosmo Cricket. (Tip of the Day: If you want to add a sticker and give it dimension, use a soft bristled paint brush to brush the sticky back with cornstarch. This will eliminate the stick and allow you to use foam adhesive to adhere your accent. One of my favorite tricks!)



So, there you have it...my piece of extended summer! So far, so good. Today and tomorrow are expected to be beautiful low 80's kinda days - *sigh* - love it! Let's hold on to summer a long as we can...changes come around real soon and then we're .... (Oh...wait...I think that's sixteen that he was holding on to, oh, well. I prefer summer to sixteen. Just say'n. HA!)

Shrine and Frozen Charlotte Pendant Goodness

Hello, my dear friends! I am actually quite excited to share three pieces with you that I just LOVE!

First off, have you entered the Shrine project contest over at Retro Cafe Art yet? 'Cause folks, I have some more inspiration for you! And this one is SO cute!



I created this fun little pendant using the itty bitty House Trinket Charms. You get three in a pack, so you can have LOTS of fun with these littles! I added the hole with my Crop-a-Dile. The image in the center is from the Dollie Meadows Collage Sheet and the entire pendant is wrapped in copper foil tape. The chain and the jump rings are both from Tim Holtz' Ideology line. *love!* I filled the shrine with Diamond Glaze over the image.



In addition to my little shrine pendant I created two Frozen Charlotte pendants, as well. Have I mentioned how much I adore these little dolls??? 'Cause I totally love 'em. Just say'n.



The first of the two is created with a full doll on a Tim Holtz Keyhole with a trinket pin and is backed with the Coffee Break Designs Masonite Wing Cutouts. I coated them with PealEx and sealed with a matte sealer. This one is called 'On the Wings of Angels'.



The next one uses very similar materials. I used just a doll head for this one instead of a full doll and added two crystals for a bit of sparkle.





This one is called Portrait of a Butterfly.

So, there you have my three fabulous pendants! I really do hope you like them, as I am sort of in love with them! HA! Also, if you are interested in purchasing any of them, please let me know via email and I will get in touch with you.

I hope you have a super fantastic Thursday! I, incedentally, am eating Sour Patch Kids at 8:30 in the morning. Probably not the best choice as I was at the dentist yesterday and, well, let's just say I will be returning shortly to have those fillings done. Just say'n. HA!

I Guess I'm Just On a Tea Kick This Week! {SSD #88}

Well, it's time for the 88th sketch from Skipping Stones Design! We, once again, have a fabulous sketch this week and some really fun cards to share with you! And, as my title suggests, (or blatantly states...something like that...HA!), I am apparently on a tea kick this week! My card yesterday featured the Queen of Tea and Cake and today's card is Good To the Last Drop!



Yup! I pulled out the ALWAYS super fun Funny Coffee Vol. 1 set. Yes, I'm aware it is supposed to be coffee, but I always see tea because we don't drink coffee in our house. HA!



I paper pieced the cup with some cute Crate Paper patterns and added a GORGEOUS silk May Arts ribbon to the card.



Wanna know something kinda funny? I really HATE coffee rings on counter tops. No. Seriously. They drive me insane. If I see one at work I HAVE to clean it up. It's just one of my many issues, but seriously, they make me crazy. Just say'n. Why is that funny? Well, I kinda love the coffee ring stamp in this set and I used it a lot! HA! Apparently when it is ink it just doesn't bother me that much!
