Moved in. WOYWW

Whew! Well, we are officially moved into the new apartment. I managed to get the kitchen unpacked and The Hubbums got much of the living room in order and got the bed built and the bedroom in order, so that's good. The best part???? We had a brand new mattress delivered yesterday morning! It's the Bob's Furniture version of a Temper-pedic and it's pretty much wonderful! A QUITE welcome good night of sleep after several days of exhaustion and manual labor. Just say'n. I'm still pretty tired and my body still hurts a bit, but all in all, things are looking pretty good at the moment!

My studio, however, is NOT unpacked yet. I got my desk built, but The Hubbums will have to do my large Expedit shelf, as I'd likely build it upside down and inside out. HA! I do have my computer set up and I did take a couple of quick shots of the space with my phone to share with you today.

This is just a corner, but it shows you the half wall that looks down into the living/dining area below. LOVE IT!!! I will have to measure the room to let you know just how big it is. It is WAY bigger than any space I've had before! It's going to be hard to let this one go later on! LOL!

As for my desk, well, this is what is on it right now. A couple of recent deliveries that I finally got to open! That doll is one I won from ThEm DoLLz and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Jen makes amazing dolls and her craftsmanship is just stunning! For reals...the work on this doll is stunning! I was very impressed! Love it!

So...that's the current state of my workspace, how about yours? You can see more spaces over at Julia's blog!

Get Well - This Giraffe Says So

HA!  He's fun isn't he?  I love the crazy colors.  I don't know exactly what made me go with all those crazy colors, but I did and I'm liking it!  SO FUN!

Get Well Tag

I created this tag using the super fun Party Animal set from The Alley Way!  I think it would be a super fun one to simply attach to a teddy bear and deliver to a sick friend!  It's sure to brighten up their day just a big, don't you think?  Or maybe attach it to a bottle of vodka...depends on what kind of sick they are.  LOL!  I KID, I KID!  Sorta.  Just say'n.  HA!

I hope you have a fabulous Monday!!!

A Bundle of Joy!

When I was at a crop last Saturday my friend, Jen, mentioned that she needed a couple of baby cards.  Well, seeing as she is more of a scrapbooker and I'm  more of a card maker, I figured I'd get right on that!  I pulled out this super pretty pale yellow cardstock from Stampin' Up! and paired it with the bold Teal Damask from the Echo Park This & That Collection.

Bundle of Joy

The frame is from the Frames in the House set from Unity.  I stamped it in Juniper CTMH ink.  I then stamped it again and cut out the center, applied the SRM Press Bundle of Joy and banner borders before adhering the oval to the frame.  A bit of May Arts Twine finishes out the hanging banner.

Bundle of Joy (detail)

I don't often get to make baby cards, so this was kind of a fun one to do!

Now...it's FRIDAY!  And, if all goes well, I will be officially moved into the new place by the start of next week.  Here's hoping all goes well.  Just say'n.  LOL!

Genuine and Dependable

I love cowboys.  It's a thing, I guess.  We all have them, right?  RIGHT?????  Please tell me we all have 'things'!  *phew!*  Okay.  I feel better now.  Good to know I'm not alone on that one.  So.  Back to cowboys.  Anyone else have that particular 'thing'?  'Cause, for reals...there is just something about a cowboy hat that'll get ya every time.  I married a man from Colorado.  That makes him a cowboy, right?  He has a hat.  K, so maybe an URBAN cowboy!  HAHAHA!  ANYWAY.... that 'thing' of mine is probably why I really really love the Old Fashioned Fun Diners set from Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  Well, cowboys AND ice cream.  I mean, REALLY?  How can one possibly go wrong with that combination.  You can't.  Just say'n.

Genuine and Dependable

One. Of. My. Favorite. Cards. Ever.

For reals.  I love this one.  It just makes me really happy.  Have you ever made a card that you just really want to keep and never give away?  This is one of those cards for me.  LOL!

Genuine and Dependable

Let's just go over these elements really quickly, here.

1.  Cowboy hat = AWESOME.
2.  LOVE that May Arts twine with just a touch of cowboy knotted in.
3.  Hello, Fabulous Font for that sentiment, anyone?  Yup.  Totally and completely.  I thought so, too.
4.  I {heart} Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. {Heart} it BIG TIME.  Just say'n.
5.  Rounded Corners.  The end.

K.  So that's why I love it.  I hope you love it, too.  I also hope that you pretty much have an amazing day.  K?  K.  Do it.

Simon Says BINGO!

We have a brand new challenge for you today over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! We are playing BINGO!!! The Challenge this week is to use the Bingo card below to create your card - choose any 'bingo' row going vertically, horizontally, or diagonally!

TOTALLY FUN! I choose to use Glitter, Free (I did a stamp), and a Die Cut for my card. The Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog Team is also showing off fun Memory Box Products this week!

I'm thinking of You

I used the gorgeous Birch Background stamp for the image on my card. I LOVE this stamp! It is stamped in London Fog ink by Momento and accented with a bit of Martha Stewart Glitter Glue. I used a Cuttlebug die to die cut the sentiment.  I rounded the corners with my new favorite tool, the Corner Chomper!!!  LOVE that thing!  It cuts through multiple layers and even works well on my heavy weight Bristol and 100 lb. cardstock!  LOVE!!!!

Now it's YOUR turn! Create a card using the Bingo Card as your guide and link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! One lucky winner will win a $50 voucher to Simon Says Stamp!

WOYWW - Not Much, Actually... Just say'n.

So, if all goes well, this may be the last messy shot of my desk you get to see! You see, I have purged a TON of stuff in this moving process and I have these silly visions of a clean, well organized workspace in my new apartment. I get these visions every time we move. Somehow...they never turn out how I'm expecting, but I'm BOUND and DETERMINED to make it happen. Just say'n. For reals, though, you guys. I want to try!!! I really really really do. For reals.

So...there you have it. That's my current workspace. The shelves look both sad and hopeful all at the same time. They will be deconstructed soon so they can be moved and carried up to our 3rd floor apartment and then up to my loft IN said apartment. I'm wicked excited about the new space! It's really quite big and it's all mine!!! YAY!!!

Depending on how productive I am early next week I may be able to show you photos of the new set up in next week's WOYWW! If not then, I will certainly get them up as soon as I'm able. I do need to make an IKEA run for sure before I can get it all set up, of course. Isn't that just an automatic assumption when one moves house? HA! I {heart} IKEA! Super cute stuff for my home AND deliciously yummy Swedish meatballs and Lignonberry juice!!! YUMMMY!!!!

I will have another post up today with a fun card, too! See you then! In the meantime, be sure to check out some more fun workspace shots over at Julia's blog!

Thinking of You

I flipped the sketch on it's side to create my card.  I actually like the slightly off-center thing going on there.  Which is odd.  Because that usually drives me up a wall!  HA!  Don't get me wrong, I love when other people do stuff like that, but I tend to go into panic-attack mode if I put things off center.  Just say'n.

Thinking of you (detail)

And my daily move update:  I loaded a couch onto a truck before I left for work this morning.  Use the time you've got!  LOL!  I hope you have a spectacular Tuesday!!!
