Because sometimes we all need a bit of a do-over. For reals, though. This card is up over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today. Have you been keeping an eye over there? There is some fun stuff happening! AND we have a new release coming soon! Woot!!!

Do Over? by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #Cas-ualFridaysStamps #cardsI loved this graph patterned paper and was inspired by it to pull out the Tech Talk stamp set, as I haven't used this one in a while and I just love it! It is just so much fun! For reals, though! I added a couple of silver paper clips I had in my stash as accents, keeping the design simple and perfect for the engineer in your life!

Wow! That's Fantastic!

It's Time for a New Challenge! Wait....I guess I just said that. In the little banner right above this. Oh, well. I said it again. But, for reals, though...it is. It is time for a brand new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! This week we are Making it Masculine! We want to see you create projects for the men in your life! The Design Team is featuring CAS-ual Fridays Stamps products and Waffle Flower Crafts products this week!

Wow That's Fantastic! by Jennifer Ingle #casualfridaysstamp #simonsaysstamp #cards #diy

I pulled out THREE of my favorite CAS-ual Fridays Stamp sets for this card. Yes, three favorites. I have a lot of favorites when it comes to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, what can I say? I stamped using some favorite Simon Says Stamp inks to create a simple, classic design. I have a confession: I don't differentiate between 'masculine' and 'feminine' cards. I make a card for a person. If that person likes blue, I use blue. If that person likes birds or flowers or cake or beer, I choose my images accordingly. I think this card would work wonderfully for any friend who likes bold, clean designs, but we are going to go with masculine for the sake of the challenge, K? K. Glad we had this talk.

A wee bit of washi tape and a single sequin accent the top of the card for just a teensy bit of pizzazz! That's a fun word. PIZZAZZ! Go ahead... say it. No, like, for realies...out loud. PIZZAZZZZZ! Yup. Totally a fun word. Plus the word 'pizza' is hidden in it, so that makes it even more awesome.

Wow. Tangent. Okay, so, anyway... now it's your turn to play along with the challenge! Create something awesome for the Make it Masculine challenge and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! We can't WAIT to see what you do! One lucky participant will win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Yup. That's awesome, too.

Have a Happy, folks!

You Rock!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Happy Wednesday! Today we have a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for you! This week we are creating for the men in our lives! The challenge is to create something masculine or Father's Day related! The Design Team is showcasing Ranger products this week. You don't have to use them for the challenge, but if you have them we'd love to see what you do with them! I pulled out my Waffle Flower Rock On stamp set for this one, for a different look.

You Rock

For this card, I took advantage of some of the unique properties of Ranger distress inks. I stamped my rocks with the inks (and the sentiment, too) and then used a waterbrush to create a watercolor look. I really like how it turned out.

I stacked the sentiment a few times and watercolored the top layer to coordinate with the stamped pattern. I was sure to keep the section over the rock pile lighter, while making the portion over the white darker so it would stand out.

Now it's YOUR turn! Create something fabulous that fits the Father's Day/Masculine theme (be sure it is NEW!) and then link it up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! One lucky winner will receive a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!

Be sure to head on over to the blog for more inspiration! And check out the links below to find the products I used on my card!

Masculine Cards with Crafter's Companion

Have you seen this month's Crafter's Companion challenge? It's all about the masculine cards this month! Some of my FAVORITE CC stamp sets are from the Camden Town Collection and they have awesome options in them for a more masculine look! For this card, I used the Camden Town Male 1 Set (don't let the name fool you, though... these images can be great for the women in your life, too!). I watercolored the image to get the look I wanted and to keep the card simple, but still really beautifully made.

Have a Great Day>

I use Momento Luxe in Nautical Blue for the sentiment and good 'ole Tuxedo Black for the image. I pulled out a silver pen from Faber Castell to add the metallic parts to the van. I really love how this turned out!
