I am super excited to share today's card! I pulled out some watercolor crayons to try something a little different and I LOVE how it turned out! This week, the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is COLOR BLOCKS! I used a stencil to watercolor my blocks of color for the background of my card. LOVE IT!
I used a watercolor panel and then secured my stencil over it before coloring each spot with the water color crayons. I then used a waterbrush to create the watercolor look. I SO love it! For the sentiment, I die cut the bubble tag die and stamped part of the sentiment, I then die cut the happy die in several colors and glued the layers together to give it a nice girth. I really love this technique!
Be sure to head on over to CAS-ual Fridays to check out the amazing inspiration and to link up your own awesome CAS card showcasing color blocks! I can't WAIT to see what you've made! You can find the products I used on my card (or similar) in the links below.
Have a Happy!

ReplyDeleteLove your card...I am totally digging stencils at the moment. I really like the soft colours you used. Cx
ReplyDeleteYour post encouraged me to pull out a stencil and try watercoloring pencils to fill it on. It is lovely. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: what is the best way to pop up the sentiment? Some of the handwriting dies are so dainty. I am not sure that pop dots would work.
This turned out awesome Jingle!! Love your watercoloured squares!!
