Sweet & Sassy Christmas in July Blog Hop!

*Note: This is my second post for today. Scroll down for more inspiration!*

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is celebrating Christmas in July!  I got to play with the SUPER adorable Cocoa's Christmas set!  I LOVE this adorable stamp set! I did a bit of paper piecing and a bit of coloring on my image and then added some sparkle by heat embossing the red ornaments with Stampendous! tinsel embossing enamel. I love the sparkle!

Cocoa's Tree Merry Christmas

The bottom of the card is wrapped with May Arts twine and I channeled Jennifer McGuire just a bit and decided to do some clusters of gem stones around the card! SO FUN! The sentiment is one of the BRAND NEW SRM stickers! Love those things!

Yes, that's right! This week over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog we have a fun new sketch for the challenge! It's a great one, too!

The team is playing with goodies from My Favorite Things this week, and I chose the fabulous Mini Wavy Pennant Dies! They are SO FUN!

A Banner Hello

I first put assorted washi tapes onto cardstock, and then ran them through my die cut machine to get the adorable flag cuts! The papers are all from the Basic Grey What's Up! line! The sentiment is from the Studio Calico/Hero Arts Hooray! Set.

Just Whipped This Up.... real quick like...

You know. How one goes into the kitchen and 'just whips something up' real quick. Yeah. I don't do that. Like...ever. BUT...I do like to bake now and then, and that's super fun! I even experiment a bit from time to time...with results that taste good sometimes, too! HA! But...alas, last weekend The Hubbums actually whipped up some Snickerdoodles and I couldn't resist creating this fun little gift set!

Just whipped this Up

If you happen to get the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Newsletter, this may look familiar! If not, WHY NOT?! It's STUFFED with inspiration every.single.time. Just say'n. I created this fun set using the FABULOUS In The Kitchen stamps! {HEART!!!} A bit of May Arts jute ties it all together! WAY FUN!

Now...I'm sad to say those snickerdoodles are LONG gone, so I should start preparing my statement to get The Hubbums to make some more because they were pretty much wicked crazy good. Just say'n.

A Handy Trick for Solid Stamps

Hmmm...let's see... we have changed the schedule up a little bit over at SSD so I don't have a specific post for today and I'm SO used to posting my SSD post on Tuesday, I wasn't sure WHAT to bring to you today.  That being said, I decided to share a tutorial that I did last week for the SSD blog!  HA!  Yes...I get stuck in my ways at times.  Just say'n.  So...here you are...a tip, a trick, and a tutorial all rolled into one happy card!

Okay, so we all have them in our stash...those solid stamps that never seem to transfer ALL of the ink onto the paper.  If you are like me, this drives you crazy, as you would like to have a nice, full, solid image.  I have the solution for you today!  VersaMark!

DSCN8398
Yup! That's your solution! Nice and easy. No. I'm not making you heat emboss, although, that is also an option! :-) Simply ink your stamp with VersaMark first and then....

DSCN8399
...without cleaning it, ink it up with your colored ink! I used both black and grey to demonstrate. This double ink layer gives you a beautiful, smooth ink application with your solid stamps! I love it!

DSCN8404
Now, if you choose to heat emboss another image over this, be sure to heat set it first, as the ink will be more wet than your simple dye ink because the VersaMark is still sticky! I say this, because that is what I chose to do to finish my card.

Butterfly Thinking of You
For my card, I stamped the coordinating butterfly stamp over the background stamp with VersaMark and then heat embossed that portion with Snow Pearl Embossing enamel by Stampendous!. I mounted the butterfly on a simple pale pink card and stamped the sentiment for a beautiful finish! This beautiful stamp set is the Breathtaking Butterflies set!

Jingle Out!

Oh...and the Stamendous! team is having a bit of a contest, and I would LOVE to win, so if you would so kindly click on THIS LINK (it goes to the Stampendous! website of happy things!) just once or 500 times, that would be GREAT!  kthnxbyenow.  Just say'n.

A Ticket To a Happy Birthday! Tami Mayberry and Clearsnap Blog Hop!

***This is my second post for today! Please be sure to check out my Night of the Undead shrine piece below! Thanks!***

So...what happens when you take FABULOUS stamps, like say...those designed by Tami Mayberry for Gina K. Designs and then combine those with FABULOUS inks, like say, Clearsnap? Well...you get FABULOUS RESULTS, that's what happens. Just say'n.

Clearsnap has generously agreed to sponsor the Tami Mayberry Design team and the CPS team! I KNOW, totally awesome, right? Right. Totally. Today, we are bringing together the two teams to share some wonderful inspiration with these products! SO EXCITING! AND...Tami has a prize on her blog, too!

Ticket to a Happy Birthday

For my card I pulled out the super fun Ticket Trio stamp set, which comes in red rubber or clear polymer, along with some great ink colors! I love how vibrant Clearsnap colors are!

Ticket Birthday detail

I used the plum, guava, and cornflower colors from the Stephanie Barnard ink line! Such pretty colors! I added just a bit of twine from The Twinery, to finish it off!

Next on the hop you will want to head on over to Ceal's blog! You can find the full hop list below!
