It's Wednesday and Apparently a Miracle has hit my Studio...okay, so just the desk, BUT STILL!
***This is my second post of the day! Please scroll down or click HERE to meet Nancy, the Disgruntled witch. No...really...wait until you meet THIS ONE!***
Yes, folks, it is time for What's on Your Workspace Wednesday!!! And...well, you will have to see it to believe it.
Yes, my desk is still clean. Yes, I cleaned it Friday night/Saturday morning. Yes, I have created MANY things since then. You see, I am trying this new thing where when you finish a project you then put the stuff you took out for the project away. It takes a bit of time, and it feels a bit strange, but oddly, it has kept my desk looking pretty good for a few days now, so I'm going to run with it and see how it goes. The good news is, those with good eyes will see that my shelves are still an utter disaster and the area behind my desk, well, let's just say there is a reason that is NOT in the photograph. Baby steps, folks. Baby steps.
As for projects, well, there is a half finished doll there on the desk, but if you want to see a FINISHED doll, check out my post from earlier! Her name is Nancy. She is a witch. And not just in color. Just say'n. Anyway, I hope you have a super fantastic Wednesday!!!!
Here's another one...slightly closer, just in case you need to be sure this is really happening...
P.S. For anyone thinking to themselves, "That's not really clean at all!" WELCOME! You must be new around here, because if you have seen any previous photos of my workspace, well, let's just say this is GLEAMING! HA!

Nancy the Disgruntled Witch created with Paperclay!
Good morning, folks! I have a fun doll to share with you, but she isn't just *any* fun doll, no, this my friends is Nancy. Nancy is a witch. More on that later, however, what you should know now is that Nancy is my entry in the Paperclay Design Team Call. Let's hope she behaves, although, I have to be honest, from what I've seen thus far, it may be a long day with little Miss Nancy...I mean, REALLY, she can be SUCH a witch! (Pun TOTALLY intended, btw. Just say'n.)
First of all, in case some of you are unfamiliar with Paperclay, it is basically awesomeness that comes in a little black pouch. It's an air dry clay that can be dyed before drying, painted afterward, sculpted, stuck together, and basically played with and manipulated into nothing less than fabulous stuff! It also happens to be what I use to create most of my dolls! So..now we meet Nancy!

*Loud Clearing of throat* *Sound of Jingle being pushed away from keyboard* *Grunting as Nancy makes her way up the stool and to the keyboard*
EXCUUUUUUSE MEEEEE! NANCY? REALLY? NANCY???? What kind of witch name is that, anyway??? I, mean REALLY, people??? Did my parents NOT notice that *tinge* of green in my skin when I was born? Was that not a *subtle* hint that *perhaps* they should give me a good and proper witch name. Well, apparently NOT, because my name is freaking NANCY! Ridiculous. I see no way I will ever gain proper witch respect with a name like Nancy. I mean, what were they THINKING? It was probably a feeble attempt to push me toward their more 'traditional' lifestyle. Figures. Well, I'll have NONE of that. But I guess I'm stuck with Nancy.
*Sound of Jingle mumbling expletives after hoisting herself up from ground where Nancy had pushed her.* *Sound of Jingle reclaiming keyboard after letting Nancy know how things work around here. DON'T TOUCH THE MAC!*
*clears throat* K. So, where were we, oh, yes. Nancy. My newest friend. To create her I sculpted her head from Creative Paperclay and added the features as I went. The eyes are painted and then filled with liquid glass to give them a more realistic look.
Her hat is actually constructed of a funnel that I spray painted a shiny black and then rimmed with May Arts pleated ribbon. A pretty little orange silk May Arts bow adorns the back.
Her body is a little stitched leather torso sitting in a black cauldron as the base. I KNOW, RIGHT???!!! I kind of love that part. To create her clothing I simply used glue (Beacons 3 in 1) to layer various May Arts ribbon, beginning with the lime green as a base, creating the skirt with strips of black, and then adding lace for the bodice. This is all done with glue, no sewing required for the clothing! YAY!
While her face is painted, I chose to use a different Creative Paperclay technique with the arms. I actually added wet paint to the wet clay and mixed it in to create green clay. I LOVE doing this! Then I put holes in each arm to attach them, let them dry, and they were ready to be added to the doll!
Nancy, while a bit moody, as you already are aware, was a blast to create and so easy because Creative Paperclay is THAT easy to work with! I love the stuff! I really do!
And so does Nancy...even if you won't EVER hear her say so.
Just say'n.

Just a little note to say...
Umm...so, yeah, we totally had our groceries delivered for the first time last night and that is AWESOME! Yes, it cost a little bit more doing it this way, mostly because the store that offers it is higher priced than Wal-Mart, which is where we usually grocery shop. However, here's the thing.
We didn't have to go to Wal-Mart.
Go ahead and TRY to tell me that isn't worth the extra money! HA! No, seriously, though. The quality of the food is excellent - even the produce - and the man who delivered it was so nice! He brought the bags right into the house! I do wish there was a way to avoid the bags, as they have everything packed in plastic bags and we bring our own reusable when we shop ourselves. You can even use coupons! You just give them to the driver and they deduct them from your order! Very cool! If you have it in your area and have been thinking about it, give it a try! I'm not gonna lie...I felt a little lazy and I think it's weird that someone else picked out my bananas. Just say'n.
NOW...onto Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday! We have the ever fabulous Cristina Kowalczyk as the Sketch Artist for this month and they are fantastic sketches! It's going to be a great month!
This is the card I created for this week's sketch! I used Birdsong Set for this one. I love it!!! To create the Maya Road tag, I first stamped the image in VersaMark and then embossed it with clear UTEE. Then I misted it with Tattered Angels Cinnamon Glimmer Mist and dabbed off the extra with a cloth and this was the result! SUPER FUN!!!! The beautiful ribbon is, of course, May Arts and the ink for the sentiment is Momento Potter's Clay.

Cristina is the QUEEN of clean and simple and, as you know, I might be trying to make Princess of that same category! HA! I am SERIOUSLY excited about the sketches that we have to work with this month and I promise you it's gonna be great!!!

And THEN...it's HOMEWORK time! You need to create a card using supplies you have at home and this sketch and link it up over at Skipping Stones for your chance to win some free stamps! The chances are really good, so you should TOTALLY participate!!!

A new 100 Proof Press card and an exciting announcement!
Whew! I'm not sure I'm ready for Monday yet, but, alas, 'tis here, thus I shall venture onward with good intention. As you saw via my unusual TWO weekend posts, I had a busy day of crafting on Saturday and then hung out with The Hubbums on Sunday doing fun stuff in general.
I created this little Halloween card using a TON of super fun stamps from 100 Proof Press! I used several of the Halloween border style stamps to create this card. Some I used only part of the border for to get the image I desired.
I used Tuxedo Black and Tangelo Momento inks and the twine is from The Twinery. The sentiment is an SRM sticker.
OH! Guess what?! Tonight we are having our groceries delivered!!! I'm so excited! We thought we would try it, as we really don't like grocery shopping, so we put in an order to give it a shot and they will be coming with them tonight! CRAZY, I tell you! HA!
Also, I have some exciting news! I am part of a brand new design team for Amazing Mold Putty!!! This is an AWESOME company that makes some REALLY cool stuff and I can't WAIT to share it with you!

It has been ONE Productive World Card Making Day!
Whew! Yes, my friends, it is just a bit after midnight and I have had a productive day celebrating World Card Making Day! I got off to a late start, but once I got rolling, I had a BLAST! I created 13 cards today! Several of them are for the World Card Making Day contest and the others you will see throughout this week. I also worked on two new dolls in between cards and they are coming right along! BOY am I a tired little crafter! *WHEW!*
I couldn't go without sharing at least ONE of the cards right away, so here is one I created for Lawn Fawn's WCMD challenge. You simply had to create a Thank You card with Lawn Fawn stamps AND SEND IT! Well, mine won't actually officially be sent until Monday, but I am sending it to all of YOU virtually because I truly thank you for being so awesome. Yesterday's post reminded me just how much I love my blog readers!!! You guys seriously ROCK!!! Thank You!!!
The stamps are Lawn Fawn, of course, and I colored them with Twinkling H2O's from Creative Imaginations. I love the shimmer and I SO wish you could see it better in the photo! The sticker is SRM Press and the twine is, of course, from The Twinery. Yay!!! The label is cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge by Sally the Cricut.
And now, my friends, I am SOOOO going to bed! I'm a seeeeepy, seeeepy, girl! HA! BUT...the good news is, I'm pretty sure I can make more stuff tomorrow! YAY for fun crafty happy weekends!!!!!

Happy World Card Making Day! {Operation Write Home}
Well, folks, it is World Card Making Day and I don't know about you, but I plan on celebrating by, ummm.... MAKING CARDS!!! But, we all need some inspiration, right? So...it just so happens that the folks at Paper Crafts Magazine and the folks at May Arts have the SAME cause in mind for this exciting day - Operation Write Home. OWH allows card makers to create blank handmade cards so they can send them home to their families. Think of just HOW excited a little girl will get when she opens a card from her Daddy! Think about that husband who sits at home worrying about his wife out in the field and gets just a bit of a reminder that she will be okay when he receives a handmade card from her in the mail. These are real people and they need to be connected and this is a truly wonderful way to help them make these meaningful connections with home. I have created this Christmas card with May Arts ribbon and Skipping Stones Design stamps to send to OWH. I hope you will join in by creating a card today and sending it in.
