My Paper Fairy

I am getting ready for the Crop For Tornado Relief today, as the big day is tomorrow, but I did want to share this little Scrolls Work project with you really quickly! Scrolls Work only has a few days left and everything is 70% off, so go get yourself some great stamps while you can!

Paper Fairy

I stamped the two images and colored them with Prismacolor markers. I then added glitter because, well, REALLY? You have to ask? HA! And used foam tape to stick them together giving them dimension. I love the flower behind her head...it makes me happy. Just say'n.

As for the answers to some questions that came up yesterday...
...Yes, that is my real hair and yes, I really did dye it blue. I love it. It suits me beyond measure. The Hubbums encouraged me to go ahead and do it after talking about it for a super long time and I am so glad I did! It works for me.

...The photos of the street are taken from the Museum of Science Parking Garage roof. The Museum offers this fun event to members every year allowing us to participate in the crazy fun festivities of Boston's Fourth of July celebration without having to deal with the crowds that you deal with down at the Esplanade. It is SO fun and you get an AWESOME view of the fireworks.

...Yes, I mentioned not taking any fireworks photos and there are a couple in the street shots....funnily enough, a town over was doing theirs while the Pops and Martina McBride were doing their performances prior to the Boston fireworks and I caught them way in the distance in those shots. I kinda love that! I didn't take any of the ones we actually went to see because I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the show!

So, there you have it! And...always know that you can feel free to ask questions here! Just remember to put your email address in when you leave your comment so I can reply! I always feel bad when a no-reply blogger leaves me a question and I can't find a way to contact them!

Hee-hee! He's from the museum, too. I love gnomes. Just say'n.

We have had SO MANY fabulous companies send us fabulous donations! We seriously could not be more thrilled!

And...it is a new month and that means a new Guest Sketch Artist over at Skipping Stones!!! And, ladies and gentlemen, it's gonna be a great month! Kim Kesti has joined us with some fabulous sketches! Kim's work is amazing and I am so excited to be working alongside her this month!!! We also have two wonderful guest designers this month! Karen and Karen!!! :-)

Well, that's enough chatter, already, let's get on to the cards!!!

You Make a Difference

I created this card using Lily Bee background paper with a bit of Basic Grey. The stamp set I used is the ever beautiful Cancer Schmancer set for this card. You may have also seen this set used on a card by Renae Curtz in the most recent issue of Paper Crafts Magazine (p.35)! It is really a beautiful set with so many wonderful images and encouraging sentiments.

Happy Fourth of July!

Yes, here in the United States it is Independence Day and there is lots of fun to be had! I hope you all have a wonderful and save 4th as you celebrate! And, for those of you not in the U.S., well, I hope you have a happy 4th of July anyway! And maybe we can all have a happy 5th of July, too. Just say'n.

I do want to share a fun little holiday card I created with a super cute image from 100 Proof Press today before I head off into the festivities!

Happy Fourth of July!

This is the Kids in Wagon image and I colored it entirely with Tombow markers. I love how vibrant the colors are!

Happy Fourth (detail)

The papers are a mish-mash, to be honest...I pulled from the 'ole scrap pile and used red from Cosmo Cricket, blue from October Afternoon, and the white notebook paper is an old one from Scenic Route.

I hope you all have a firework-tastic Fourth of July! Have fun today, folks! See ya later, dudes!

red, white, and blue

I stamped the flag in the center using ink from Tombow Dual Tip Markers in order to have the proper colors represented on my flag. Then I used my Tombow Glue Pen to add Martha Stewart glitter to the stripes and some sparkly Stickles for each star on the flag.

Be Brave {Friends With Flair}

It's Friends With Flair Friday over at Unity and, as usual, I am playing along! I have to apologize for the poor photo quality. You see, I'm wicked smart and I decided to wait until the very last minute to photograph my card and so I did that at about six o'clock this morning and then after taking two very nice shots, my camera batter, which I ever-so-intelligently haven't charged in ages, died promptly, therefore not allowing me to upload the photos to my computer until it is charged....which it will be when I get home from work today. Just say'n. Soooo....that means you get phone shots today. Thank you, my dear friend, Mr. Droid. Just say'n. HA!

Be Brave

I used the She Sprouted Wings set for today's card along with a wealth of happy Crate Paper goodness!!!

Be Brave (detail)

(Does anyone know if there is a Droid app for macro shots? 'Cause I could TOTALLY use one! Just say'n.)

I actually tore paper for this card. That's pretty amazing considering I'm generally NOT a torn paper fan. It usually bugs me. To no end, actually. For reals. But this card kept telling me it needed some torn edges, so I went for it, and voila! By George, I think it was RIGHT! Hmph. Go figure. At least I got to ink the heck out of those torn edges. Inking the heck out of anything pretty much makes me happy. Just say'n.

So, what are you up to this fine weekend? Here in the U.S. we have a holiday weekend to celebrate Independence Day. They keep it quiet, but in England they celebrate us leaving on the 4th of July. HA!!! Anyway...any fun plans? We have some fun plans. I will have photos for SURE! Happy Friday, folks!
