This is my sweet baby Thatcher Dragon. Early this past week, she began to get sick. It appeared she had a stomach bug. What we didn't know until Tuesday was that she had a thymoma on her sternum that resulted in myasthenia gravis and megaesophagus. We had her in the hospital and they had begun treatment. On Wednesday night/Thursday morning, she developed aspiration pneumonia. This brought her downhill. Too much. On Thursday, I had to say goodbye to my absolutely beautiful, sweet, loving, kind, amazing baby girl. This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. She was too young and this came out of nowhere. I have honestly never hurt so much. Never. I wish I could express in words how much this little girl meant to me. Her 54 lbs. seems a whole lot bigger now that it is a big hole in our life. My insides hurt. We cry. A lot. I will love her forever. We were the perfect pair, the two of us, both a little crazy. She was there for me. Always.
I miss her.
