I'd Like to Introduce, Elayna...

Elayna

This is Elayna.  She is a cloth and clay doll that I created for a wonderful new friend that I discovered through an art doll swap!

Elayna (Upper)

Elayna is a sweet spirited girl with a love for a simple vintage way of life.  She loves to read and takes great joy in creating her own clothing.  She also likes to sparkle a bit, though, as you can see by her shining diamond necklace.

Elayna (side)

She takes pride in her large collection of books.  Elayna particularly loves her classic fairy tales!  They just take her away!

Elayna (back)

She has long, beautiful hair and a weakness for all things lace!    She loves to tie her hair back with pretty ribbons!

Elayna (seated)

Elayna prefers to do her frolicking barefoot, too!  Particularly when there are fields of flowers involved!  How wonderfully spent is an afternoon in a field of flowers, with bare feet, reclined on a blanket with a good book while the sun creates tingles on her radiant face.

You are SO right about her, Jen! Last night - around 11:30, I believe - I was reading and heard something across the room. I looked up and there was that darling Elayna dancing around, skirt twirling, humming to herself, on my pretty lil' pink corner shelf! It was LOVELY! And so are YOU for making her for me AND just BECAUSE!!!!! Hugs!

You know art speaks to every one in a different way, and I'll tell you what I thought ... she is one crazy old chick, and I want to be her when I grow up! If I stop dying my hair, move out to the country, and get these kids out of the house, I could be her!!

She's really cute! I'd love to do a doll swap. Maybe I'll organize one in the Spring. Have you sent anything to ADQ yet? I hope you have!
