A Life Time of WOYWW Happiness Just say'n.

You see...this is what happens when I go and combine two things in one post...you get AWESOME titles. HAHAHA! Just say'n. So...alas, it is, once again, time for WOYWW! And I have a GREAT shot for you today! I took a wider angle to include my messy SHELVES along WITH my messy desk since so many of you seem to like to wallow in my messiness! HAHAHAHA!

BUT FIRST...A HUGE thanks to all who have taken the time to vote for me in Round 2 the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol competition! If you haven't voted in this round yet, please click on the widget below if you will! I'd love your vote! You can see the details of my card in the post prior to this one.

Now...here is my workspace as of last night ... (And this morning...as it hasn't really changed all that much since I took this shot. I do actually try to sleep at night on occasion. HA!)

Actually, looking at this...my desk isn't all that messy. I grabbed that Cricut mag (I'm on page 56! YAY!) and took it with me in my work bag this morning and there is a good solid chunk of workspace left open right there! YAY for clear mat workspace!!!

AND...I also have a pretty little card to share with you today! FUN!!!

A Lifetime of Happiness

I was inspired by two different challenges for this pretty little card! First, there was this fabulous color scheme from the CR84FN challenge:

AND...there was also the fabulous CASual Fridays Bling Challenge! So...I brought them together for my card! YAY!

A Lifetime of Happiness (detail)

YAY! I LOVE the grey, celery, and lavender color scheme SO much and the addition of a bit of sparkle was just PERFECT! The stamps are from Gourmet Rubber Stamps, from the Swingin' Spring Diners set! LOVE IT!!!

So...that's what I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by!!! Vote early and Vote often! HAHAHAHA!!!! *insert eyeroll here* (That was your eye roll...I still think I'm pretty funny. Just say'n. LOL!!!! No, for reals, though...I'd love your vote. Thanks!)

Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Round 2 - I need your VOTE!

***This post will remain at the top of my blog while the voting is open! Please check it out if you haven't already, otherwise, scroll down to see my latest post! Thank you!!!***

This is it, folks! I am so excited to be in the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Top 20! I really can hardly contain myself! It is such an honor to be a part of this amazing group! I am really looking forward to sharing this card with you today, as I put my all into this one, let me tell you! This card took hours. As in, like...3-4 hours. I know for some people that's normal, but for me that's just plain CRAZY, I tell you! For reals, though. I usually do a card in 30 minutes to an hour. And...even looking at this one, I could duplicate it in that time, which means I spent a LOT of time conceptualizing. Just say'n. LOL!

Here it is, folks...my Round 2 card for the Color My World Challenge.... drumroll, please...

...

...

... (p.s. That's what a typed drumroll looks like, apparently. At least in my world. Just say'n.)

A Different Color Final

*Insert HUGE sigh of relief here!*

No, for REALS you guys! This weekend has been such an amazing mix of stress, excitement, and pure anticipation for this very moment when I get to show you my card and invite you to vote! YAY!!!! It feels AMAZING to finally put this out there to the world! ACK!!! This is really happening!

Untitled

When I saw the theme I was actually really happy as I love working with the rainbow color scheme! It's just fun and happy and a wonderful way to begin a competition like this! I had lots of ideas come through my head, but this paintbox idea was the first and I just had to run with it! It is so ME!!! I love the fact that it looks like a child has been playing with this paintbox for hours on end creating wonderful, happy, color-filled goodness!!! That's what I do. I love it.

DSCN7256

The card is built on watercolor paper. I layered black cardstock and watercolor paper to create the base of my paintbox. The little pallets are stamped from Tami Mayberry's Ticket Trio set by Gina K. Designs and then the color is filled in with Luminarte Twinkling H2O's for Creative Imaginations. I stamped each pallet on watercolor paper, cut it out, mounted it on black, and then cut those out by hand, as well. I painted the base of the paintbox to give that well-loved appearance with the Twinks, as well! FUN!!!!! YAY! The paintbrush is hand cut from cardstock and then I added flax twine from The Twinery and wrapped it with foil tape by Nashua Tape. I {heart} this card. I really and truly do!

DSCN7257

The Twinkling H2O's really make the entire thing shimmer! It's so pretty, but, hey...I'm always been distracted by sparkling things! HA! The sentiment is cut from a fabulous Inkadinkado stamp. I just love it! It makes me smile. Just say'n.

So...now I've done my job by creating a card that I love and now I need YOUR HELP! I need your votes!

This link will take you directly to the contest page! My card is #12 and has my name in the description! Thank you SO much for your support!!!

You can also vote using the widget on my sidebar and in this post! You will need to register to vote, but it's pretty simple! Love you guys! THANK YOU!

Fireworks and Washi Tape

As it turns out...those two work together remarkably well. Just say'n. We have a brand new sketch for you this week over at Skipping Stones Design! AND...we also have a brand new sketch artist and two awesome guest designers!!! It's pretty much going to rock over there this month. For reals. Here is my first card for the month!

4th of July

I used the Home of the Brave set which just so happens to be on sale AND just so happens to be PERFECT for the upcoming Independence Day holiday! YAY! I stamped the fireworks in the traditional red and blue and then stamped the one in the center with VersaMark and heat embossed it with sparkle embossing enamel from Stampendous! I love the way it glitters in real life!

4th of July (detail)

The washi tape used on this card is actually all from the Target office supply aisle. *LOVE THAT!* And the twine is from The Twinery. And now for the honesty part...I sort of struggle with patriotic cards! For reals, you guys...I think if I were to write a letter to Betsy Ross it would go something like this:

Dear Betsy Ross,

Next time you are creating a flag to represent our country for ever and ever amen, please consult me in regards to color.

Thank you,

Your not-a-huge-fan-of-working-in-red-white-and-blue friend,

Jingle.

They are TRICKY colors. I'm just say'n. That's all. Does that make me a horrible person? HAHAHA! How about you? Do you find red, white, and blue to be tricky? Or are you Canadian and just dealing with a flag that looks like it could be a Valentine only with a leaf instead of a heart? I think that sounds like MUCH more fun! YAY! No, but really...I don't think I'd be able to choose different colors because they always look good ON the flag...just not on my cards. Oh, well. *sigh* LOL!

Okay...before I make the whole world mad by having a little fun with flag colors...I'm going to suggest you head on over to Skipping Stones Design and check out the brand new sketch! You don't even have to use SSD stamps to play along AND...one random winner gets a FREE set of stamps! TOTALLY FABULOUS!!!! YAY!

Have a happy Tuesday and please remember to vote for my card in the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol contest! The widget is in the top right corner of my blog! You have to register to vote, but it's easy peasy! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!

Walking on Sunshine in the Rain!

Yup. That's pretty much what I've been doing all weekend! Walking on sunshine...despite the rain. If you haven't heard, I was SUPER excited to learn on Friday that I had made the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Top 20! This is HUGE!!! I am so stinking excited I can hardly even contain myself! Walking on sunshine, I tell you! Yes, it was raining off and on all weekend and it's raining again this morning, but you know what...I'm STILL walking on sunshine! I can't WAIT to share my next card with you! Round two goes live for voting later on today, so you will see a post here with my card and all of the instructions on how vote! I would love to have your support! In the meantime, I have a fun Walking On Sunshine card to share with you right now!

Walking on Sunshine

This is one of two cards that I have up on the Eyelet Outlet blog today! I created this with a simple base, stamped the Jillibean Soup road stamp and then added the super fun little running man stick people brads along the road. TOTALLY FUN!!! A perfect border sticker from the Amy Tangerine line for American Crafts finishes off the bottom perfectly! The glitter letters are Making Memories and the chipboard Thickers are also from the Amy Tangerine line! LOVE THEM!

Walking on Sunshine (detail)

Head on over to the Eyelet Outlet blog to see the other super fun card I created using the amazingly adorable bouy brads and the realistic looking mallard brads!

I am also linking this up to the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge!

And, yes, my friends, I will be back later today with SUPER EXCITING GALLERY IDOL GOODNESS! I seriously cannot WAIT to share my card with you!!! This is so much fun. It really and truly is. Just say'n.

It's the First Stampendous! Saturday of June! Celebrate SUMMER!

Ready for another challenge with the Stampendous team?  Throughout the month of June we are challenging ourselves (and you) to make a card, project, gift, altered item, or a bit of home decor that is related to SUMMER!  That's right, we're celebrating the start of summer all month long!

This is my super summery fun card! This hat is TOO MUCH FUN! I added a bit of summer flare by embellishing it with a flower and a cute little pearl! The stamp is the Mod Hatter stamp from Stampendous! and it is available both at Stampendous.com and at your local Michael's store!

My Friend

Be sure to check out what my teammates have created for the challenge today!

Don't forget, we want YOU to play along with us!  Simply make a summer themed project of some sort and add the direct link for your project to our collection at the end of this post (or on the Stampendous blog) no later than Thursday, June 28 at 11:59 PM EST .  You do not have to use Stampendous products, but we sure love it when you do!  As an extra incentive for playing along, one lucky crafter (drawn at random) will receive this fabulous new Friendly Phrases Perfectly Clear stamp set:

As an even bigger incentive, if you use Stampendous products on your project, that entry will count twice, which increases your chances of winning!  Due to shipping restrictions, the winner must have a US address.  We hope you have a chance to play along with us (you an enter as many times as you'd like!) this month...Happy Crafting!

Brand New Gourmet Goodness!!!!

Yes, my friends, it's June 1st and that means BRAND NEW RUBBER from Gourmet Rubber Stamps! You guys are gonna love it!!! I am talking circus, and mason jar, and flower, and graduation, and cute animal FABULOUSNESS! The new Diner's Set, Bloom and Grow, is SO fun and has LOTS of variety in it, making it pretty much ROCK! Check out the cards I've created so far with this set!

Graduation Congratulations

This one uses the graduation cap, diploma, and the fabulous Congratulations sentiment. I love that simple font! I created the tassel with twine from The Twinery and tied a bit around the diploma, as well. Those fabulous eyes and glasses are Eyelet Outlet brads. WAY FUN! And the background paper is from Echo Park. SO FUN! I also made a point to use the school colors of the person I plan to give this card. *gasp!* I actually made a card FOR someone! I KNOW, RIGHT?! HA!

Life's a Circus...

This is another one that I created with the same set! I LOVE that circus tent and that sentiment is just so VERY TRUE! HA! Actually...it's at least true in my head...funny story...so...this morning I woke up speaking about whatever was going on in my head while I was sleeping. It was a bit, well, let's just leave it at "interesting". After vocalizing this, The Hubbums asked me what I was talking about. I told him that was what was going on in my head. At which point...he said the following, "Hmmm...what happens in your head is a lot like Vegas..."

Yup. You see where he was going with that, right? Right. K. So what happens in my head STAYS in my head! HAHAHA!!! He makes me laugh...and so do the voices in my head. Just say'n.

AND...just because I couldn't stop getting cute ideas for these stamps...

Congratulations Elephant

This is a super fun baby card! I paper pieced the pachyderm. Just say'n. (Tee-hee! I love words!)

So...check out Bloom and Grow, because you know you want it. AND go get inky!!!! Happy Friday, my friends!

Oh...and I'm also featured for Fascinating Fridays today! FUN! Head on over to check out my interview and some cards!

Treat Box Fun With Ticket Trio!

Well, Tami Mayberry's Ticket Trio is finally released and available over at Gina K. Designs! It comes in both rubber AND clear (brand new for Gina K.!) so you have a choice! I have a fun little treat box that I created using this set! Plus, if you have been reading the last couple of days I've shown off cute cards using Ticket Trio, as well! It really is a super versatile set of stamps! Here's my box:

Enjoy Treat Box

I used Gina K. Papers and May Arts Burlap String to accent the box. I stamped the tag with the triple fading sentiment and then stamped and fussy cut the cupcake to pop up on the tag! LOVE!

Enjoy Treat Bag (detail)

Here is what the entire set looks like! It's pretty great. Just say'n.

I KNOW, RIGHT?! So...check out Tami's new set and head on over to her blog to see what the other DT girls have created!

Happy Friday!
