Hello, friends! I have a super fun card for you today using some awesome stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! I absolutely LOVE this marquis style stamp set! It is way too much fun! I combined it with a totally fun ink pad to create this bright and colorful thank you!



I stamped the big three times and then added the thanks at the bottom in black so it would stand out. This wasn't a difficult card, but it was seriously fun to create! I love the color!

Because Wallflowers and Love Notes

Hello, friends! I am quite excited to be falling back into my usual posting routine this week! You will see posts all week and I think you are going to like them! There is SO much going on!!! SO FUN!

Today I am up on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog! There is a bit of a fun announcement over there, too, actually! Along with that announcement, I have this card!



I created this card using the Wallflower stamps and a sentiment from Love Notes. I used some brand new Simon Says Stamp ink colors and I am totally in love with this color combination! I used Stone, Apricot, and Thistle. Seriously...I feel like these colors were MADE for these stamps! They play so well together! I also used some sparkly Bazzill Bling cardstock in a coordinating color to add some shimmer to the design. Love that!



I added a bit of May Arts string behind the sentiment. If you don't own a spool of this string... go. Buy some. Nowish. For reals, though. It is an absolute STAPLE in my studio! I love how just a bit adds so much to a card! LOVE IT!

Dreamers Gotta Dream...about a NEW RELEASE!

Did you SEE IT?! The Simon Says Stamp Color of Fun release is LIVE and it is FABULOUS! Oh, my goodness, you guys, this release! I absolutely LOVE it! I have been playing with a few fabulous stamps, inks, and dies from this release and I can't wait to share them with you over the next few days!



I used the new Firework Burst die set and the My Sunshine stamp set for this card along with the gorgeous new Hollyhock ink pad. You guys, this pink?! It's so fabulous! I love it so much! The panel behind the sentiment is actually white cardstock inked with the Hollyhock ink to  match the stamped text perfectly. It makes me happy. Very happy.

Today, I am coming to you with a fun installment of "Stuff I LOVE!" Here's the deal, I use a lot of different products. I love some, others, meh. BUT... I really love to SHARE the things I love! So, here are a few things I have been using lately that you simply MUST consider for your stash! I wouldn't lead you astray, folks! I promise!

Simon Says Stamp Teflon Bone Folder Tool

It looks so simple, doesn't it? And yes, I am actually starting out with a bone folder that costs $23.99. And, yes, it is worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY. Seriously, you guys. This thing has great weight to it, it creates smooth, beautiful creases with no shine on the cardstock, it has multiple surfaces so it is great for burnishing, as well as creasing. I love it. For reals. LOVE. IT.

Avery Elle The Everyday Collection 6x6 Paper Pad

So. This paper pad. It's amazeballs. I haven't put it away since it arrived because it is just the very BEST go-to stack of patterns EVER. For reals. The patterns were so specifically designed to work with cards and you can totally tell. I love it. It is not often that I purchase the same paper pad twice, but this one ... I'm gonna need another one. For reals. It's the perfect paper pad. Perfect.

Spellbinders® Pierced Circles, Ovals, and Squares

So, here's the deal. The die for the pierced portion is a totally separate die from the cutting die. GUESS what that means, folks?! That means you can play with or without the pierced part OR you can use ONLY the pierced part. These things became a staple the instant they hit my studio. For reals. I have no idea how I survived without them. LOVE. Lots. For reals, though.

Winnie & Walter The Big The Bold Stamp Sets

Okay, so I sort of cheated and this isn't just ONE product, but rather an entire grouping of stamp sets, but, for REALS, you guys. I have NEVER reached for the same set so many times as I have with these The Big The Bold sets from Winnie & Walter. The words are fabulous and due to the smaller, extra words, each set is LOADED with potential. And that font...seriously...I can't even get enough of it! I can't!!!! LOVE!

My Favorite Things Hybrid Inks

They work wonderfully with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, colored pencils, watercolor, and, well, just stamping in general. The colors are gorgeous. They make me happy. Ridiculously so, actually. Ridiculously so, my friends.

So, while this is hardly everything I love, this does show you a few things that have been making me exceptionally happy in my studio as of late. Why? Because this stuff ROCKS, you guys! Fall Colors! YAY!

I know I am not alone in loving the beautiful colors of fall!  I am fortunate enough to live in New England, you know...that place that leafers drive to from miles around just to SEE the leaves!  Yup.  It's that pretty.  And no, you don't get numb to it over time, so that part is pretty awesome!  Every. Single. Fall. I get to drive down the highway and see pure, brilliant bursts of red, orange, yellow, and all of the shades in between!  Today's card celebrates those colors, along with nature.  I just loved it!

Our Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Artist In Residence Challenge this month was to use the Kaleidacolor ink pads.  I was TOTALLY on board with that one!  I love those things!

I actually swiped the pad directly onto my cardstock after masking off the top and the bottom to get stripes of brilliant color!  I die cut the wood veneer and placed it over the swiped ink and I just LOVE how gorgeous it looks!  A few die cut feathers and sparkling sequins finish off the design, keeping it simple, but still so warm and cozy!

Stick a Bird On It!

Yup.  I did it.  I stuck a bird on it.  And I LOVE it!!!  I am playing with some AMAZINGLY fun goodies from IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® today!  I am excited to share this fun project with you!  Here is the card I created and a full tutorial on how you can create this same look yourself!



Supplies:
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Canary, Scarlet, and Turquoise
IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Smokey Grey
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink in Rocket Red
White Cardstock
Black Cardstock
Martha Stewart Bird Sticker



Step 1.  In the corner of a sheet of cardstock, stamp your IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink directly to the cardstock, applying a large amount of ink with each press.  Allow the ink to dry or expedite the process with a heat gun.



Step 2.  Spritz the inked block with IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Texture Spray to add a bit of shimmer and texture to the ink.  I love how neat this looks!  Allow to dry, or, again, speed up the process with a heat gun.

Step 3.  Cut out the block and mount on black cardstock.  Adhere to white card base with foam tape.



Step 4.  Stamp the sentiment below the block in Smokey Grey VersaFine ink.  Stamp the heart with Rocket Red Brilliance ink.



Step 5.  Affix the bird sticker to the block.

In Search of a Magnificently Marvelous Mint!

Mint.  It's all the rage in fashion right now, so naturally, it is all the rage in crafting, as well.  I have fallen 100% for this particular trend... yes.. I even own mint pants, much to The Hubbums' chagrin.  HA!  BUT...I was finding it VERY difficult to get a really good mint ink color for my stamping!  Well... that's when Tsukineko stepped in!  John sent me a bunch of fabulous ink colors and in those included several I could test out in search of a Magnificently Marvelous Mint!  Here are the results!



Each of these is a Tsukineko ink.  And I love ever.single.one of them.  HA!  However, many, as you can plainly see, are not in any way, shape, or form 'minty' in nature.  I did come to a decision after conducting this test, however.  The Aquatic Splash is a remarkable good pale mint tone and the ....wait for it... VersaColor MINT is a lovely deeper mint tone.  (Who knew?!  LOL!)  Mind you, when I began this search I hadn't yet discovered the one actually called mint.  Just putting that out there.  HA!

So...if you are in search of the perfect mint I recommend checking out these fabulous ink colors.  If you are looking for some other lovely green and blue shades...the rest of them are fabulous, too!  YAY!

And..because I hate to post with out a card...here is a fun one I created using VersaMagic inks in a variety of colors along with the super cute sequin stamp from Fresh Squeezed Stamps On Trend set and a cute sentiment from Paper Smooches.
