A Golden Birthday

Hello, friends!  It's ANYTHING GOES week over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!  Woot!  (Yes, that means it's a you-have-zero-excuse-to-not-enter-week, just in case you were a little foggy on that point.  HA!)  The design team is playing with Simon Says Stamp exclusives this week, so that pretty much means we have some AWESOME projects to share with you!  Woot!  Woot!

I wanted to create a fun birthday card for the Birthday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and decided to latch onto the gold trend and do a GOLDEN birthday card!  I am just loving gold and white together!  It is SO pretty!

I die cut and embossed the Happy die with gold embossing powder.  I actually made the die a couple of cardstock layers thick to give it some extra girth.  (Thank you, Jennifer McGuire for THAT tip!  Woot!)  That cool border is actually a longer banner from the Beautiful Words stamp set.  I love the pattern on it SO MUCH!  I stamped it in gorgeous Delicata ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.  It makes me happy.  For reals, dude.  I love that ink!!!  The 'birthday' is from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Shenanigans set and is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.  I knew the Versafine could handle the gold pigment ink beneath it, so it was a good choice.

Honestly, you guys, this is one of my favorite cards as of late!  I really love how it turned out!  I just think it is SOOOOO pretty!  Of course, when I'm rockin' Simon Says Stamp exclusives and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, I really shouldn't expect less!  HA!

He's Making a List!

YAY!!!  It's time for new Christmas stamps!  I love it when it's time for new Christmas stamps!  And today's CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sneak peek will NOT disappoint!  Today we are showing off Naugty or Nice!  This is SUCH a fun set!!!

Just Some Loving Thoughts For You

It is Day THREE of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps July release and I am excited to show off another fabulous set of dies!  Today we are showing of the fabulous Oval Tag Die set.  This is another one that you will  likely reach for over and over again due to it's simplicity and versatility.  I love how you can layer the ovals or use them individually!

I've combined the dies with some gorgeous papers from My Mind's Eye and the Loving Thoughts stamp set wrapped around an SRM Stickers clear pillow box.  A bit of perfectly coordinating May Arts sheer ribbon finishes off this little treat box!  It's all just so PRETTY!  I like pretty things.  I do.  I really and truly do.  For reals, dudes.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Bubble Labels Die Sneak Peek!

Hiya, folks!  It is day 2 of the July sneak peeks from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and we have a super cute die to share with you today!  I totally love this set!!!  It's called Bubble Labels and they are just way too much fun!



I totally saw clouds in the bubble-icious shape of these label dies!  I cut them from woodgrain textured cardstock for this fun card!

The sentiment is from the Calm and Gentle set.  A few woodgrain sequins made for the perfect finishing touch!

CAS-ual Fridays Sneak Peek Time!

Yup!  It's time!!!  I am so excited for my first release with CAS-ual Fridays!  Not only is this super exciting, but our very first sneak peek is one of the BRAND NEW Fri-dies!!!!   Yup!  CAS-ual Fridays is making dies and they are FABULOUS!  Woot!  Woot!

I decided to make a simple window card using the new Loving Blossoms Fri-die!

A Painterly Palette from Moxie Fab World

When I saw this fun inspiration photo for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger I had lots of super fun ideas!  I love the colors, I love the circles, and I love how the colors have a bit of an 'outline' created by the paint pots.

I decided to begin with a kraft base and stamp white circles all over the background.  I then added color by stamping pretty pastel inks over the white spots.  Some are full circles, others are just rings.  This was SO much fun to do!



Now, before you go thinking I have some MAD spacial orientation skills and got those dots by just carefully stamping... yeah, I totally cheated.  Well, I don't call it cheating, so much, I simply utilized the resources around me!  YAY!  That's a good thing, right? Right.  HA!



One of the things I love about The Stamps of Life stamps is that they are cut so precisely!  That means that you can use the background stamps as a guide with other stamps to create new backgrounds!  I used the  circles from the bubblegum4me set inside the background4bees background to get my grid.  SO FUN!

The sentiment is stamped and embossed on vellum using the standup4sentiments set!  I love the vertical sentiments in this set!  They are so fun!

Cork Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend?

Well... okay, so maybe that isn't what they had in mind, but I promise you are going to have fun with these cork rounded diamonds!  I have a super fun tutorial for you today!

Supplies:

IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Teal Zeal
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink in Pearlescent Orange
Cork Sheet
Avery Elle Rounded Diamonds Stamps
Avery Elle Rounded Diamonds Dies
Cardstock in orange and white
Bossy Joscie Sentiment Flair
Heat Gun
Die Cut Machine
Circle Punch



Trim a piece of cork sheet to about 3x3 and ink entirely with Teal Zeal IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink.  If you are a tad bit impatient, like me, you may want to hit it with a heat gun to make it dry faster.



Place dies where you want them and secure with a bit of washi tape.  Die cut the inked cork.



On a white cardstock panel, stamp rounded diamond shape in IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink in Pearlescent Orange.  Trim panel to desired size.  Punch a half circle in bottom right corner where the sentiment flair will later be placed.



Adhere cork diamonds and stamp accents above and below the cork pieces to complete the design.



Create a card base from orange cardstock.  Round two opposite corners.  Adhere white panel with pattern to card base.  Affix sentiment flair in punched area.



And there is your completed card!  Go play with some cork and ink and stuff!!!!
