Just Because You're Amazing!

You are, you know.  You.  Are.  Amazing.  And don't you forget that, either!  I am, too.  Just sayin'.  ;)

This is the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World this week. It's the Pattern Play Tuesday Trigger, folks. Ummm... HARD!!!! No... like, for reallies... this one was a difficult one for me. BUT...what's a challenge if you aren't challenged, right? Right. So, I decided to tackle this sucker. It helped that my March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit happened to arrive at JUST the right time... like the day before I made the card. HA!


I LOVED the gorgeous Flower Friend stamp set that came in the kit and decided to pull out a bunch of my brightly colored Clearsnap inks to attempt to create one of those nifty patterns folks are doing these days. (HA! That totally sounds like old lady talk! LOVE IT!)


K... so ... a couple of things I learned on this first shot at creating such a design... pencil lines probably would have been a good thing. I can't tell you for certain, as I neglected to use them and totally freehanded this sucker! Secondly...this is HARD! I'm extra uber impressed now (okay, so I've always been impressed by Betsy, but even MORE now!) with the amazing Betsy Veldman for her designs. She's a rock star. Just sayin'.

I did have fun, though. Lots of it! And I kind of like the result. I can't say I'll be using this technique every time I stamp, but I'd be willing to give it another go now and then. Thanks for the challenge, Cath! Accepted and delivered!

Lights, Camera... SMILE!!!

It is time for a brand new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog and it is ANYTHING GOES week! AND...because it's an Anything Goes week, I decided to also play along with the Camera Craze Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! It's gonna be a wild ride today, folks! Nothing but crazy around here! HA! No... but for reals...


The Simon Says Challenge Design Team is using Tim Holtz products on our project today. Yes... I could have gone simple and just used ink, but I decided to challenge myself to go a bit outside of my box and came up with this!


Instead of going with just a traditional camera, I sort of took a different take and went with well...camera GUTS! It's the inside that counts, right? HAHAHA! Seriously, you guys, sometimes I crack myself up. ANYWAY... that was the inspiration behind this fun card!


AND...the best part is... this is an ANYTHING goes challenge over on Simon Says, and one person will win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog! For reals. So... umm.... what's your excuse? The only rule is that it has to be a NEW card - no backlinking. :)

Because Bunnies are Just Adorable

The Eyelet Outlet team has some fun Easter inspiration for you today over on the blog! I created a fun card using one of the new realistic looking Rabbit Brads. I LOVE this Memory Box birch forest stamp and I thought they would pair quite nicely!


I stamped with my new Hero Arts mid-tone Navy... can I just say that is a GORGEOUS INK! I don't know how I was living without it! I LOVE IT! The patterned paper is from Lilybee designs... they do great ginghams! Just sayin'.

No... really... you should.  Those days are always better.  Just sayin'.

I have a super fun card to share with you today using some fabulous Sheena Douglas stamps from Crafter's Companion!  I LOVE these big sentiments because they can totally stand on their own for FABULOUS CAS cards. I used the beautiful Through the Rain set for this one along with a piece of SUPER CUTE Bossy Joscie Flair!


This card pretty much has one purpose. To make someone smile. SOOOOoooo...I'm kinda hopin' it works! YAY! I used a pretty peach toned card base from Papertrey ink and just simple white, Neenah cardstock. My Momento Tuxedo Black ink by Tsukineko was my go to for the stamping and I simply drew the black border around the card. Nice and CAS! LOVE!


So...I send you off with this message on this fine Tuesday! I truly hope you embrace it!

I Want This Kitchen

No... like.. for reals, dude. I LOVE this inspiration photo!!! It's the latest color challenge from Gourmet Rubber Stamps and we would love for you to play along!


Seriously, though??? TELL me that kitchen isn't amazing! I mean, for REALS, people! I love it! LOVE IT!!! And the colors were a BLAST to work with, too! SO much fun!!!

I used the adorable Call Me Truffles set! That phone is just too cute! I thought it suited the color scheme well, too! I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and I love how fun it looks!

Love Wins - Moxie Fab World Set the Table Tuesday Trigger

When I saw the aged, mixed metals showcased in this week's Set The Table Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World I HAD to jump on this one!  It is just so inspiring!

I just love the gold and silver and the tarnish on all of it! The softness of the metals really struck me, as metallic designs are often bold and strong, but this one is softer and more subtle. I decided to fly with that idea for my card.


I stamped the feathers from the Frame and Feathers set from Hero Arts in three different colors to give them depth and interest. I then accented each image with a gold pen from Faber Castel. I used that same gold pen to outline the feather panel..I then used silver and white gel pens to add a tarnished look to that border. I love how that turned out! It's a bit greener in the photo than in real life...it looks so much like tarnished metal in real life and I love that! I double stamped the sentiment in two colors to maintain that weathered feel and tied some twine around the card to complete the softness.


I hope you are having an absolutely spectacular weekend! I got to spend some time shopping for crafty goodness yesterday and I've been creating like crazy, too, so I am LOVING IT!!!

Hey, Girlfriend!

Hello, friends!  It is Friday and I am happy about that.  Woot!  Woot!  I got the chance to play a little last night, so I spread my time out and did one card for an assignment, one card for a publication call, and one card just for fun!  You get to see that last one today!  YAY!


I used the super cute Hey Girlfriend Itty Bitty from Unity Stamp Co. for this card along with some Twinkling H2O's. I love those things! Shimmery paints of goodness, I tell you! I heat embossed the image and sentiment with black embossing powder on a canva-board base, so it kind of melted right into the paper which is pretty cool, actually.


I am linking this one up to Unity Friends With Flair Friday as well as the CASology Flame Challenge, as my colors are inspired by a flame.

In other news...I had something exciting happen yesterday!!! I was chosen to be the March Guest Designer for Paper Smooches Stamps!!! I am WICKED excited about this and I can't wait to share the fun new goodies with you guys!!!

Lotsa Thanks! (And Winners)

Howdy, folks! It's Thursday. Why is it that the first part of a four day week always comes at you so fast and then the last part seems to take forever? For reals, though. Weirdness. Anyway.... they are predicting a foot of stinking snow over the weekend. 'Cause apparently the two feet we just got the weekend before last was not enough. Yeah. I'm less than amused. HA! BUT...at least it looks like it is coming on Saturday night and Sunday, so Saturday plans won't be ruined, and that's good because I plan to be shopping for some paper crafting goodness on Saturday!!! WOOT! WOOT!!!!

I have a fun thank you card to share with you today using an awesome stamp set called Many Thanks from The Craft's Meow. If you happen to make a lot of Thank You cards, it's kind of a must have. Just sayin'.


I stamped the THX several times and then added the Thanks in pink. As I'm looking at this, I'm reminded of how much I've been loving Hero Arts inks lately...boy did that stamp well! HA! A bit of tape from Bella Blvd. and some Eyelet Outlet pearls accent the card nicely.

I am super excited to be Guest Designing over at Petaloo today!!! I have two super fun cards up over on their blog! I will share one of them with you today, as it is also the card I am entering in the Runway Inspired Challenge! Woot! Woot! Here is the inspiration photo for the challenge...


And here is my card using absolutely GORGEOUS embellishments from Petaloo and some beautiful Authentique papers. I had so much fun playing with all of these amazing textures! LOVE!!!!


LOVE the yellow, the black, and even the flowers! This was SUCH a fun card to create!
