Zip It!

Hello! It is ANYTHING GOES week over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week! This week, the Design Team is playing with Technique Tuesday products this week! You don't have to use them to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them! I decided to use the super fun zipper die that I haven't had the chance to use quite yet!

Birthday Mouse

I used the fun new Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critter Accessories stamp set to create a little birthday scene. I colored with colored pencils for a playful look and then die cut the zipper in the front card panel. I used strips of cardstock on the back of the panel to secure the gift card, but once the zipper is pulled, it is easily removed! This is a super fun way to add an interactive element to your cards!

Untitled

Isn't this a super fun way to give a gift card?! I love it! I really do! Now it's YOUR turn! Create a NEW project... anything you'd like to make...and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store! You know you want to win that goodness!!! Just be sure the project is new. Backlinked entries will not be counted.

Have a Happy!

I decided to use the negative die cut to create the 'thanks' and then stamped the rest of the sentiment in a break in my patterned paper for a fun design. A few sequins added some great color, too!

Hello There!

So, here's the deal. Hello is my One  Little Word for the year. You may recall THIS Hello card that I posted just the other day. My word for the year inspired that card AND that giveaway (which ends today, by the way, so be sure to enter if you haven't already!). I used a super awesome Neat & Tangled stamp for that card. And THEN... the latest Little Tangles challenge came out yesterday with what theme? Oh. Yes. Hello.

Wellllllllll.... I simply HAD to create something for it. I mean, FOR REALS. It's my WORD, yo. But, since I had just used Neat and Tangled stamps for that other one I was a bit torn. I decided to use the same stamp again. Because I like it. Nope. Because I LOVE it.

Hello There by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #Cards #NeatAndTangled

I did. I used the Neat & Tangled Origami Map stamp and the coordinating die for the background of my card. I then used the super cute On the Corner stamp set. I used Distress inks to ink the background, splashed some water drops on there for texture, and used Distress Markers to color my image. I don't use those for coloring often, but they seemed to be what I was looking for this time around. I actually hand lettered the sentiment to get exactly what I wanted and I was surprised by how much I liked the results!

Hello There by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #Cards #NeatAndTangled/center>

So, there it is! Something a little different with a potentially unlikely stamp combination, but I like it! It's fun!

Have a Happy, folks!

Because Adorable Fox

It's Wednesday and that  means it is TIME for a NEW Challenge!!! This week will be tricky for some of you and perhaps not-so-tricky for others. We are challenging you to use NO Patterned Paper! That's right! You can create your own patterns using stamps or stencils or whatever, just no printed patterns. Let those 6x6 paper pads rest this week! The Design Team is featuring Taylored Expressions products this week! I picked an adorable Little Bits Fox die and I LOVE HIM!

The Happiest by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #JustJingle #TayloredExpressions

Isn't he adorable?! He totally is. TOTALLY! I wanted a bit of extra somethin' somethin', so I added two strips of the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers Mini Washi Tape below my fox. I LOVE these tapes. For reals, though.

The Happiest by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #JustJingle #TayloredExpressions

Isn't he just too cute?! He is. I promise. I wouldn't even lie about this, you guys. For reals. The sentiment is from the super awesome Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing stamp set. I use this set so much! It really is a staple. Love it!

Now it's your turn! Create something fabulous, but don't forget to skip the patterned paper on this one! We can't WAIT to see what you come up with! One lucky participant will win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! Woot! Woot!

A Real Splash!

Simon Says Stamp has added a new company to their shelves and I think you are going to LOVE these stamps! Pink & Main offers a seriously fun variety including graphic patterns, cute stuff, and basically just FUN stamps!

A Real Splash! by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #PinkAndMain #Cards

I used the absolutely adorable Mermaids stamp set to create this fun little card. I couldn't help making the fish yellow and blue. I just. couldn't. help. it.

A Real Splash! by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #PinkAndMain #Cards

I masked the fish and then did a simple line mask to do ink blending to create the water and the sand. I used a variety of distress inks to get that look. I then used pigment inks to stamp the coral and the plants. I love how pigment inks sit on top of dye inks so you can create layered scenes like this! I then used Copics to color the fish.

Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for sending these super cute stamps my way to try out! I love them! You will be seeing more from them around here! I promise!

We want to see you create something with a food and/or drink theme. No, we aren't asking you to stamp with spaghetti sauce. Although, if you wanna go ahead and give that a shot, nobody is stopping you. I'm just sayin'. For reals, though. Probs don't do that, k? K. Glad we had this little chat.

This week we are featuring Simon Says Stamp exclusive products. Many of the girls reached for some of the fabulous new goodies in the shop, but for this one, I simply HAD to pull out a set of old favorites! It HAD to happen, you guys. For reals.

Too Soon? by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #Cards

Yup. I pulled out the good ol' Adult Beverages collection. I used the image stamps, sentiment stamps, AND the dies for this one (you can find specific supply links below). I also loaded this sucker with sequins because... shiny.

Sparkle and Shine!

Hello, friends! It's time to SPARKLE AND SHINE! Yup, folks! That is the challenge this week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! We want to see your project Sparkle and Shine! The Design Team is showcasing Pretty Pink Posh products this week. That means LOTS of awesome sequins and some fun dies, too! You don't have to use Pretty Pink Posh to play along, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them!

Sparkly Hello by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #PrettyPinkPosh #SpectrumNoir

I had some fun with Pretty Pink Posh sequins, my clear Wink of Stella, and a couple of favorite Simon Says Stamp exclusives! I stamped the grid pattern in black on white and then used some favorite Spectrum Noir colors to fill in a few of the squares with color. I then added sparkle to some of the squares with the Wink of Stella. The die cut sentiment pops off the card and the sequins add a bit of sparkle while also adding to the graphic design of the card. You guys, for reals, I love this one. I really do. I wish you could see it in person. It's pretty. I promise.

Sparkly Hello by Jennifer Ingle #JustJingle #SimonSaysStamp #PrettyPinkPosh #SpectrumNoir
And now it's YOUR turn! One lucky participant in the Sparkle and Shine Challenge is going to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! WHAT?! Totes for reals, dude. Totes. For. Reals.

This Gold is Distressed!

I mean, it can be tough being a gorgeous gold foil flower. WAIT, nope. Not that kind of distressed. I recently purchased a pot of WOW Heat & Bond powder along with a packet of the Bright Gold foil that goes with it. It arrived. And I, naturally, was scared to death of it.

What? That doesn't happen to you? Oh. Wellll... it happens to me.

HOWEVER, my dear friends, I conquered that fear by carefully reading the directions and choosing the simplest application of the product. This involved using my heat gun and a burnisher (read: teflon bone folder, 'cause that's totatally what I used) to create a distressed gold foil look. The results? Well, I have to say, I kinda really like 'em!

Mon Amie by Jennifer Ingle #justjingle #casualfridaysstamps #goldfoil #diy

Of course, that AMAZING stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps did half the work for me. I mean, SERIOUSLY, that flower, you guys?! I so love it. So, lots of love it. I made this card for the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog. You should visit that blog from time to time. We make some pretty awesome stuff. For reals, though.

Mon Amie by Jennifer Ingle #justjingle #casualfridaysstamps #goldfoil #diy

I die cut the flower from the black and layered that over the dark teal cardstock before adhering the stamped, foiled, and die cut flower with foam tape. A bit of gold thread and a few sequins add even more pizzazz to the look. (Pizzazz has LOTS of z's in it. That is a fun word to type. And to say. Go ahead, say it out loud...PIZZAZZ!)

For those of you in the United States, I wish you a Happy Memorial Day weekend! For the rest of you...

Have a Happy!

Some Sweet Treats Inspiration

Sweet Treats? I'll take 'em! I'm not even picky, you guys. For reals, though. And the best part about the Sweet Treats today? They are calorie free! Of course, you can't eat them, either, but, you know... up sides, down sides, it's all there, folks. All this to say we have a new challenge for you over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog and it's a Color Inspiration challenge! We are using the super cute colors in the Sweet Treats collection to inspire us! The design team is also showing off some Simon Says Stamp exclusives this week. Boy is THAT easy to do! So many awesome products!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Sweet Treats Color Inspiration

Aren't those colors just so CUTE?! I love them. Actually, the Audrey Blue and Doll Pink are two of my favorites, so toss in some Mint, Surf Blue, and Cotton Candy and you have nothing but good things happening. And this, my friends, is why I decided to use ALL FIVE of these fabulous colors on my card. Yup. I used five whole colors. I know. Take a moment. I needed one, too.

Way to Go! by @Jennifer Ingle for @Simon Says Stamp #simonsaysstamp #diy #cards #stamping #cardchallenges

I masked a line on my white panel and then stamped the heart balloons Lila's Heart stamp set. I layered the colors starting with the lightest tones and working to the darker ones. I then added a strip of mint cardstock with the sentiment from the Hand Lettered Encouragement stamp set embossed in white. I stamped and cut two balloons, tied string to them, and adhered them with foam tape before mounting the panel onto the Doll Pink card base.

Way to Go! by @Jennifer Ingle for @Simon Says Stamp #simonsaysstamp #diy #cards #stamping #cardchallenges

Now it's your turn! Create something fabulous inspired by the colors in the Sweet Treats collection and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! Why would you want to play along? Oh, I don't know... maybe because you could win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp STORE?! WHAT?! Yup. You could. So do it. Because I told you to.

Because: Gnomes

I tried, you guys, I really did. I tried desperately to NOT purchase this absolutely adorable gnome stamp set by MFT. I failed. Miserably. Honestly, it didn't even take that long. But, you GUYS, it's GNOMES!!!! Obviously I needed it. For reals, though.

Hello Gnome by Jennifer Ingle #gnomes #mftstamps #spellbinders #cardmaking #Diy #spectrumnoir

Seriously. How cute is HE?! Super cute. That's how cute, my friends, super.wicked.cute. I colored him with my Spectrum Noir pens and, obviously, did the same with the tiny snail. I fussy cut them (dies are available, but I'm cheap and already own scissors). I can't even. I just love him.

Hello Gnome by Jennifer Ingle #gnomes #mftstamps #spellbinders #cardmaking #Diy #spectrumnoir

To created the shaker, I used some great label dies (Labels Thirty Five) to create an embossed window and then used the same label to cut the background from chalkboard paper. I stamped and embossed the sentiment so it would sit inside the shaker box and then added some fun sequins.

This card, though, you guys... SO much fun to put together. I love these stamps. I'm officially glad I caved. HA!

Have a Happy!

P.S. I am linking this one up to the Virginia's View Layers and Dimension challenge

She Believed In Possibilities

I kind of love this sentiment. I grabbed it from the sticker sheet that comes in the Fancy Pants Me-Ology collection pack. It's a long sticker, but I trimmed it, then added a strip of coordinating patterned paper to turn it into a banner because that sentiment is TOTALLY banner-worthy. For reals, though.

She believed in Possibilities

The rest of this card is pretty much Spellbinders AWESOMENESS! Seriously, though, you guys. That Western Sunshine die? LOVE IT! And the background is created with the Contemporary Circles die set. And yes, that's a set...a frame and the actual background. And yes, you need it. Glad we had this chat.

She Believed (detail)

A few sequins add some sparkle and accent the gold sun perfectly.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Have a Happy!

A Quick Hello

Hello, friends! I have a quick layered card I created to share with you today. Basically, I pulled out a 6x6 paper pad and wanted to play with some patterns, so I DID! Because I can do that. And so can you. For reals, though.

Hello

I used the super fun Serendipity papers from the Dear Lizzy line. I just love them. They make me smile. Combined with the Big Hello die from Simon Says Stamp cut from Bazzill cardstock, this card came together super fast, and is totally fun!

I have some exciting news coming tomorrow, so be sure to stop by so you don't miss it!

You Simply Have to Fly!

Step 1: Begin with all white cardstock.

Step 2: Recognize that you really are a clean and simple designer and just embrace that.

Step 3: Create this card.

You Simply Have to Fly

Oooohh... wait. You wanted steps for actually creating the card? Okay. I can do that.

Step 1: Head on over to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and purchase the Butterbows Stamp Set and the Bubble Labels Fri-dies. While you are there, you may as well pick up a couple of other things because: Awesomesauce.

Step 2: Trim card base, fold, set aside for now.

Step 3: Stamp Butterbow in Little Piggy ink from WPlus9 on a white panel. Stamp it again on Post It tape. Cut out the butterbow on post it tape and place over the Little Piggy Butterbow. (You guys, I am NOT making these names up. For reals.)

Step 4: Ink entire panel with Fairy Dust ink from Wplus9. (Nope. Still not making it up.) Allow sufficient time to dry and heat set it anyway for good measure.

Step 5: Stamp and emboss sentiment with VersaMark ink and silver embossing powder.

Step 6: Die cut large Bubble Label from more white cardstock (Because that's all we are using, remember?), cut in half, adhere beneath butterbow.

Step 7: SEQUINS!!!!!

You Simply Have to Fly (detail)

Step 8: Head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for all kinds of awesome inspiration AND get ready for a new release later this week! WHAT?! Yup. Totally.

For reals, though. You should probably do all of the above.

Have a Happy!
